Enjoyable television film

Warning: Spoilers
This tv movie was actually quite enjoyable. I personally love movies based on the Greek life. It's been years since I was part of a fraternity at college and loved the experience. We had a 3 story house near campus they called The Lion's Den. We weren't as wild or dangerous like the students portrayed in these films which is surprising giving the fact that most of the guys there were sports players.

Anyways this movie has just the right amount of mystery and suspense and a nice twist towards the end.

In the movie A pledge dies in a freak accident at his fraternity house. His girlfriend who is a neighboring sorority president discovers a dark family tie to her boyfriend as his mother begins a witch hunt against her. Then after another fraternity president is almost killed, all signs point to her and she has to fight to clear her name and save her sorority house and fellow sisters.

I'll say this one did a nice job at keeping the real culprit in the shadows until the end.

Great job to everyone involved and especially loved the Southern college setting in this one!

Welcome to Theta House!

Warning: Spoilers
This film unfolded a Hatfield vs. McCoy family rivalry in the Quaids vs. The Lancasters. In a bitter, multi-generational struggle, both the Lancaster father and son die while the mother and daughter of the Quaid clan are embroiled in the circumstances surrounding the death of the two men.

Kaylee Quaid and Wally Lancaster are the Romeo and Juliet-like star-crossed lovers who belong to a fraternity and sorority on the Louisville college campus. After Wally dies of electrocution in a hot tub, his vindictive mother is out for revenge on young Kaylee, the president of the Theta sorority. After all, she was 21 and was "robbing the cradle" of the 18-year-old Wally.

The details of the troubled past were never made clear in the film, as we never learned the role that Kaylee's mother Vera played in the death of Wally's father. Also, the characters in this film could turn on a dime and take on a new persona, such as the moment when the mean-spirited Sabrina Lancaster suddenly felt compassion for Kaylee and handed her the cell phone of the deceased Wally. Of course, the phone contained video evidence of the real reason her son had died.

While the filmmakers were successful in evoking the toxicity of the Greek system, there was never the feeling that Theta House was a genuine academic society. No one ever cracked a book or attended a class at this college. While an attempt was made to develop a theme about the bonding of Big Sisters and Little Sisters, in the end, it all seemed superficial and unconvincing.

Also, perhaps another reviewer can explain why Chase would drink a large glass of the punch that he had presumably poisoned?
