The story lacks focus, and the main character is too overpowered. There is no challenge or struggle for his growth as a character. The first episode had many potential directions for the plot, but by episode 7 it becomes boring because every episode is similar, and the main character does not spend much time in the other world. The action scenes in the real world and his school life are pointless and dull. I was expecting more from this story, but it disappointed me.

I also noticed that all the girls he meets follow a similar pattern, which makes the anime feels fake. I hope the anime develops a more solid story, but at this rate, it will take at least another season to fix this mess.

Update: After watching solo leveling, I can say "I have watched this anime if it could've been a 10 star"

Beautiful anime

I like this anime a lot because it's different from other Isekai that he can move from earth to another world very easy in the morning at the academy and after noon in anothet world .I love the character yuua he is kind ,shy and love to help others but because of his looking no one accept him nor his family neither the school and don't care or respect him ,he was bullied and that really is sad .But when he helped Kaori his life has changed because of her and her kindness and respect for him she didn't care about his looking that he is fat no she cares about his kindness and that he was beaten because of her for that she looked for him and his new life began. I hope this anime doesn't go like others with Hareem i hope it will be only one for him and stay beside him and keep his secret and i hope its Kaori because she accepted him in his old looking not like other girls they know him after he has changed and become handsome if they knee him before no one will talk to him not like kaori she is really the best one and i hope the story will continue great Thanks for making this anime and for the Author Miku.

I get that they are just following the manga, but this show is boring!

I'm really disappointed. The pilot had so much potential but quickly deteriorated into generic, uninspired nonesense.

From the start, we see Yuuya as someone downtrodden, bullied and miserable, but a good person worthy of far more kindness than he receives. Someone we are obviously meant to sympathize with and root for. But after the first ten minutes of the anime making it clear how difficult his life is, it than proceeds to make everything WAY TO EASY.

From Magical weight loss and indestructible fighting skills, to every character fawning over how HADNSOME and AMAZING he is. Nothing feels earned. Everything was just given to him with magic. On top of that, he is a complete Gary Stu, with no flaws other than some social awkwardness that everyone predictably finds cute rather than an actual flaw.

And that's just my gripe with the main character, not that any other character is really noteworthy. All the girls want to be with him and all the guys (except the BAD GUYS of course) admire him. The plots from episode to episode are weak, repetitive and unoriginal and the anime itself adds nothing new to the table in terms of design, animation, lore, history; any of it. It's just boring.

best anime I've ever seen

This anime is amazing. Its like 9 episodes of justice as Yuuya gets the life he should have had from the starts. The romance options are amazing too, personally i prefer Luna or Kaede. And the friendships, and i love how he went from a fat bullied kid to a small god basically. The characters are interesting and i'm always looking forward to seeing what happiness next. The new episode was amazing because it showed more of the other world, which is actually this animes second greatest strength apart from the romance. He can be a legendary knight in one world but still be a school student. He can be shown with a princess and an assassin fighting over him, and it has no consequences in the "real" world. There is also something satisfying about knowing that he can do almost anything in the "real" world. I had extreme bias to 7DS as my fav anime but the second episode of this had me in love, in love with the story the characters and the future. I look forward to what Yuuya will get up to next. Who he will end up with, (hopefully Luna or Kaede) and what the future holds for this. Because i feel like if more people tried this and they keep it up this could easily be one of the most loved anime ever deserving for a spot in the new gen 3. And I want to give another special props to the writers. In the new episode episode 9. Luna and Lexia are written so well and their rivalry and friendship is actually similar to one I'm developing for my own story. They are friends but have a rivalry over him but not in a way where its annoying. (also Luna seems like the one to most genuinely like Yuuya)

I felt physically pain watching this . 10 minutes of frist episode of the anime is basically main character telling his backstory , which is : when he was a child , their parents hated him . His brothers hated him . When he was a toddler , other children hated him And Bullied him . Their parents disowned him ? Only one looked after him his grandfather died when he was a child and his last words were : "be nice to everyone . . . "and he works as a paper boy to live , but everyone and his boss hates him too . . . At school , he is hardworking student but everyone is getting his in way. I wont spoil it more.

More season pls

The anime needs to stick to one world then switch to another in a few episodes but in order for that to happen we need there to be new episodes 😭. I also think yuya should understand that the only girl in the whole anime that liked him in anime body shape was cowdy. But I think this is really good anime actually my favorite but I can't keep watching it over and over again. There are some many minor characters it's crazy. Yuya has plenty of girls to pick from. But basically the only reason I am making a review is because I want u guys to start making more or people will for get about this amazing anime. It's probably hard to make a season that's as good as the last one but if are making new season email me. I need to know because I so board and don't know what anime to watch. I leave 5 out of 5 stars to this anime.

A hilariously awful male wish fulfillment fantasy

This show is absolutely hilarious to me because I've never seen something that is so obviously dedicated to male wish fulfillment. It had me laughing out loud, not because it's trying to be funny, or is a successful comedy, but because it's so utterly transparent and completely ridiculous. Let's catalogue some of what this show has to offer.

You have a main character who starts out obese, ugly, and unintentionally comically mistreated.

You have a main character who gets beat up like 3 times in the first five minutes.

You have a main character who then becomes god level awesome with absolutely minimal effort.

You have a main character who makes multiple women swoon simply by his presence. This includes a princess, a model, a school council president, an assassin, HIS HOMEROOM TEACHER, and basically every woman he meets.

You have a main character who beats a bear and a motorcycle in hand to hand combat.

You have a main character who's not just the strongest warrior around, he's also the strongest wizard.

You have a main character who is amazing at literally everything he does and it's written into the plot. The things he's amazing at include saving people from fires, fishing with his hands, soccer/football, modeling, winning those crane games in arcades, oh and he's an outstanding chef. I'm sure I'm missing some. There's a lot of things he's amazing at. Basically everything he tries.

The protagonist of this show is a gary sue to the max. I've never seen anything come even close. Most shows follow a classic conflict structure of challenge and growth, going up and down, growing more intense with every challenge. This show is just the main character one-upping himself over and over as he does more and more awesome stuff.

I really think this concept could've been interesting if it'd been handled with more nuance. I was actually interested in the very beginning because I've never really seen an anime with an ugly, obese main character and I thought it could be a really cool underdog story. Unfortunately, that character basically dies in the first episode and becomes the infallible GOD CHAD.

After the main character transforms into a super hot "long legged" male babe model who's strong and magical and rich and handsome and also humble and kind, there's almost no reflection on his past at all. It's like there's two protagonists. The original, compelling, human version got tagged out for an unstoppable and unrealistic gary sue.

This is not a good show at all. It is, however, truly hilarious due to how unapologetically committed it is to being a shallow male wish fulfillment fantasy.

I need another season!!!!

I could not stop watching it. It's funny and over the top in places, which makes it even more entertaining. It definitely has its silly herem tropes as well, but I don't care. I absolutely love the storyline and cinderella ( fella) esq nature of it as well. I watched it all in less than a day. I don't know if there is a print version of this. I would love to read the manga. The anime was just magic. With only thirteen episodes, there's just waay too much story left open. I really hope the producers don't leave us fans hanging. It really is a gem. It's on my list of favorite animes of all time.

This could've been great

As many of the other bad reviews have stated, this show is basically just a man's wishful thinking. I'm sorry to say this but if you genuinely whole heartedly believe this was a peak isekai or whtever it's called you're probably their target audience. I watched this and the first few minutes were just him doing the absolute most to be a victim. Don't get me wrong, he definitely was but with how much it was pushed there was a definite lack of relatability for anyone except people who had gone through the same situation. Then, all of a sudden he just switches up and changes into a god, the maker of all and the strongest of all time. I get that 'getting cheats' means that it'll be easy for him but come on man there was no character development at all. It saddens me to say bht I had to skip through alot of the female scenes because they were super repetitive, they meet, she falls in love, yapa yapa it's the usual Goddess woman x an average person (when he's in the real world) in literally the third ep he beats up a top male model and makes another top female model fall for him. There was no hardship for him at all and what annoyed me the most was when he suddenly became the best wizard aswell. That could've been a wonderful way to show his growth but it seriously disappointed. Idk how to feel, at least the op is good right? 😅😅😅

I thoroughly enjoyed this anime, and honestly don't understand why people are rating it poorly. To point out a few points of what other reviewers have said: I don't think that it's all over the place - the anime takes place across 2 different worlds. Which ... is right in the title. Some other reviewers pointed out that things are way too easy for the main character. Again, it's right there in the title. The anime is called, "I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became UNRIVALED in The Real One, Too". So, IF COURSE everything is going to be easy for him!! HE'S UNRIVALED. Honestly, they should've read the title before reviewing. This Isekai is different from others because it shows not only the MC's interactions in the Isekai world, but the real one as well. I actually like that it adds that complexity that isn't there in others. Yes, a there are several females (pretty much all of them, in fact) that are drawn to the MC, but I don't see a problem with that. Harem - type themes are quite common in anime. {it isn't the main focus of the show, however}. If you don't enjoy that in a show, then maybe this isn't for you. I honestly don't see a problem with it. {And yes, I'm a straight female}.

I think that it's kind of heart -warming that he starts off as someone who is bullied constantly, even by his own family, & not happy with his own body image & situation to grow into a much stronger person - inside and out. Even after he changed on the outside, he still went through an inner turmoil because of how his life had been up to that point.

I would definitely recommend this show!

How to Ruin a plot

The story begins with an original and well written protagonist who unfortunately is completely removed from the plot in the First episode. Yuya is an obese student who is being bullied at school and work. He was loved by his grandfather alone but distespected and abandoned by his parents. Instead of developing this compelling human protagonist and make him fight against the injustices and challenges of the world, the writers have decided to transform him into an handsome and super strong Gary sue loved and praised by everyone, even by complete strangers that he meets on the street. Almost all of the girls in the anime are incredibily shallow and superficial, costantly craving for his attention, and they have absolutely nothing to Say other than their desire to be with the Gary Sue. The worst scene of the anime ( Who made me sick and made me stop watching It) was basically the scene where his former bullies attacks him in the new school, after he defeats them all including a motorcycle (with bare hands of course ), he helps two of his former bullies to avoid being strangled by another criminal (the boss of the gang), and once his former bullies ask him why he has helped them......THE GARY SUE RESPONDS THAT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE HIS FAMILY! Unbelivable so in the writers mind this behaviour is supposed to be noble, humble and good, but in the western world we call this Stocholm syndrome!

Don't believe any saddest out there, this is very beautiful and amazing Isekai Anime. Beautiful girls, world, levelling up, food, excitement, fights, monsters, It has everything!!

This is my request to creators please keep making more and more 100 episodes there is so much to cover both in Yuuya real world and other world. I don't want to stop watching it.

Just a small suggestion to developers, some frames become like graphic novel like last scene of Model Mui you didn't even show her properly, it felt like pages are flipping from a manga. Please keep the Animation as real as possible.

Great anime

Long summary: In my opinion, this anime is great in terms of the idea of leveling up and there being a place in 2 worlds which gives you the ability to have more storyline. I do agree though that it could be better and a little less predictable and a slower pace, but I do enjoy all of it regardless. I would love to see more episodes where it branches off of both worlds, getting more involved with his school life, and then us seeing more of the world of leveling. I personally would love to see more storyline of the "Vile" and see the battles between them and hey, I also want to see more of lexia and Luna's love war to win over the MC. I do hope that if there is more, they tell give us more info on Yuti, the girl with white hair, so that we can learn her story and what happened with her, and have her help the MC. I would also hope that they make the story slower and give us more detail as to what's happening aswell as learning more of the characters that have been introduced, and also see kaori maybe levelup with the MC.

Basic summary: I really want more!!

Waiting for season 2. I wish the author add more struggle for the main character especially when fighting against enemy in other world that will make him eager to train more and become more strong, and i wanna see some of his friend's from school get involve in a fight in the other world and just like him they will acquired magic power and skills and fight alongside of him, or maybe a conflict between his world(earth) and the magic world(the place he use to travel and fight evil) and Yuuya and his friends doing their best to defend their world. Cant wait for the next season, waiting waiting waiting.

Not just another isekai anime

Personally, I think they are lumping this in with other Isekai anime a little too quick. Yes it has the other world theme but the protagonist is able to hop back and forth between worlds which is really cool. I loved the direction they were going with this, we are finally seeing some serious evil in the other world. It would be cool to see if the main character brings more of his friends into the other world and creates an army to defeat the vile. I would also like to see how his romantic interests play out, kind of getting a harem vibe with this, but it's definitely keeping us on our toes please create more of this, I really liked it! I hope they at least renew it for another season so it can be wrapped up a little better I think there are so many different directions this anime could go (:

Amazing and Peaceful

I have no clue why some people have low ratings for this, but it is really fun to watch. I feel like it has a pretty good first episode with all the new things starting to happen, but the mc needs a bit more character development throughout the story. It still is pretty nice to watch with the animation style and all the scenery. I hope that more people will watch this and give it a higher rating too. After all, it has not even been 2 months since the season had been completed. This anime is a very good anime to watch while you feel bored. If anyone is still wondering about not watching, it is so goooood if you give it a chance. Just watch the first 6 episodes and u will see why. If u only watch like 3 episodes how do you know if it is bad if u only watched a little. I really hope they confirm a renew for this so we get a season 2 for this wonderful anime.

This show is 100% worth watching

I have been disabled since 2016 so I spend a lot of my time watching TV and Anime. I have seen literally 100s of anime. This is by far one of my favorite animes thus far. The graphics are amazing and him going form a broken person to an amazing person definitely hits home for me since being disabled sucks and being in pain 24/7 sucks and not being able to walk anymore and not being loved as my wife of 14 years kicked me out two years ago because as she said I was worthless and useless. So to be able to go between earth and another place with a house and all this gear that healed him, increased everything about him, made him 1000 times better at everything is definitely appealing to me. I would give anything to have this happen to me. The show is really good and the main character is a great person. I like how this anime is essentially 2 animes in one. He has his earth life and his other world life. But when he increases his skills in the other world it translates to earth as well. Super amazing and I definitely love this show.
