When it comes to horror movies, we’ve all wondered how our favorite TV characters would fare if they found themselves face-to-face with some of cinema’s most terrifying monsters.
Would they have the skills, guts, or sheer luck to survive, or would they meet a grisly end before the credits roll?
From the detectives of NCIS to the quirky residents of Only Murders in the Building — and yes, even Morgan from High Potential — this list puts some of the most iconic TV characters in a horror movie scenario.
(David Bukach/Disney)
So, who would survive, and who’s destined for a final scream? Let’s find out which TV characters would live to tell the tale — and which ones wouldn’t stand a chance.

That was just about the most Elsbeth opening to an episode ever! We’re back, baby, and the skies have never been campier.
It’s wild to think it’s been over seven months since the titular character sashayed onto TV screens with her own series. It’s like no time has passed.
Hats off to the Elsbeth writers for the meta-approach to acknowledging the break between seasons.
(Michael Parmelee/CBS)
Did you catch Kaya and Elsbeth talking about how surprisingly slow the last few months had been? I love a tip-toe take on breaking the fourth wall.
And a big round of applause for Elsbeth bringing back familiar faces.

Young and the Restless comings and goings reveal Valarie Pettiford joins the cast as recast Amy Lewis. This is a real blast from the past. The character’s been gone since 1988. And now she’s back with a new face and an incredible actress in the role.
If you don’t remember, Amy Lewis was the daughter of Frank Lewis, Genoa City’s police commissioner in the mid-80s. She also worked as Paul Williams’ secretary at his detective agency and even dated Nate Hastings’ father, Nathan Hastings Sr.
And now this big comeback, per Y&R spoilers.

Young and the Restless comings and goings confirm that out of the blue, showrunner Josh Griffith brought back Amy Lewis. It seems pretty much out of nowhere, but she’s got lots of friends still on the CBS soap opera.

“Star Trek” and “Transformers” screenwriter and producer Roberto Orci was accused of “repeatedly” physically and sexually assaulting his wife, actress Adele Heather Taylor, in a lawsuit filed Monday.
The filing, a countersuit to Orci’s June suit against Taylor claiming she assaulted him with a Taser and pepper spray, graphically details years of abuse dating back to a March 2018 incident that saw Taylor fleeing a taxi after Orci struck her three times in the face. It characterizes the producer as a bipolar alcoholic who “seldom takes his medication” — one who would belittle his wife with insults like “whore,” “slut” and “other derogatory, sexist slurs.”
Other instances of assault detailed in the countersuit include a pair of May 2022 and June 2022 incidents where Orci beat Taylor to the ground and raped her in their garden, proclaiming in the former case that he “can do whatever I want to you” and in the...

Warner Bros. TV has responded to a lawsuit filed Tuesday by Michael Crichton‘s widow, calling the legal move “baseless” and arguing that the studio’s upcoming medical procedural “The Pitt” is very different from “ER.”
“The lawsuit filed by the Crichton Estate is baseless, as ‘The Pitt’ is a new and original show,” the studio said in a statement. “Any suggestion otherwise is false, and Warner Bros. Television intends to vigorously defend against these meritless claims.”
The swift Warner Bros. response comes after the Crichton estate accused exec producer John Wells of a “personal betrayal,” claiming that he and star Noah Wyle came up with “The Pitt” after the Crichton estate blocked their plans to reboot “ER.” “‘The Pitt’ is ‘ER,’” the lawsuit states. “It’s not like ‘ER.’ It’s not kind of ‘ER.’ It’s not sort of ‘ER.’ It is ‘ER’ with the exact same executive producer,...

Roberto Orci, a screenwriter on the “Star Trek” and “Transformers” franchises, was accused in a lawsuit Monday of repeatedly beating and sexually assaulting his wife.
Adele Heather Taylor, an actor in “The Blacklist,” “Hail, Caesar!” and more, alleges in the suit that Orci was bipolar, an alcoholic and would fly into violent rages. She alleges that he would call her a “slut,” a “whore” and would drag her around the house and beat her, leaving bruises all over her body.
In May 2022, she alleges that Orci chased her into the garden and pinned her down on the ground and threatened to rape her. The following month, she alleges that he sexually assaulted her in the garden, telling her, “You enjoy being raped.”
She also alleges that Orci called the police on her in April 2020, after she had tried to fight him off, and that she was arrested for domestic abuse.

The Season 23 finale of “Law & Order” left the fate of Tony Goldwyn’s D.A. Nicholas Baxter up in the air on election night, but showrunner Rick Eid told TheWrap ahead of the Oct. 3 premiere that the character has indeed won and will be back for the entire season.
He also promised that Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) will be “a big part” of the second episode, about the murder of a tech CEO. “[Benson] has a pre-existing relationship with the defendant in this case,” said Eid. “It’s really a big part of the episode. It felt organic to who Mariska’s character is, and it was an interesting element to the story that gave it another layer.”
Eid said the crossover, which also sees the return of Elizabeth Marvel’s character Defense Attorney Rita Calhoun, is more “organic” than some of the previous three-series premieres that included “Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Ultron will return.
James Spader is set to reprise his role of the villainous artificial intelligence from 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Vision series with Paul Bettany.
Terry Matalas (“Star Trek: Picard”) will serve as executive producer and showrunner of the untitled series, which is scheduled to debut in 2026. Although Vision technically died in 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War,” he was resurrected twice in the 2021’s series “WandaVision,” first as a spectral creation made (and then unmade) by magic, and again as a ghost white robot without any memories from his past.
It’ll prove troublesome for Vision when Ultron returns, since the characters have a longstanding history. Ultron created Vision’s original synthetic body as the permanent home for his AI, but the Avengers intercepted it and instead placed Tony Stark’s AI assistant J.A.R.V.I.S. inside, creating Vision.
