One of the few times the murderer was in the right

Warning: Spoilers
Average episode. Sub plot of Finn and Hodgins was good enough and conveniently tied into the main plot with a clue from the deus ex machina.

But. Bad guy killed the victim cos she neglected their dog and caused it to kill itself. I'm with him tbh. If you neglect animals you deserve punishment that matches the neglect.

And I'm not sure if there ever was any sort of scandal around Judge Judy, but the parody of it on this show was quite funny.

All in all, not the best episode, not the worst. Bremnan was a bit annoying at her insistence that her kid was special and refused to believe she could do anything wrong.

Not the best episode, show missing Pelant-type antagonist

Apologies, I've just been watching ALL this show in 2020. Helps avoid the reality of now. This episode was probably one of the lesser ones but I still liked it. Plenty of funny stuff , which life needs. The baby biting was classic! The victim, maybe didn't deserve death, but I would definitely think about doing the same had I been in the killer's shoes...sorry! Dog's aren't disposable razors...

Just a Bit Too Much

Warning: Spoilers
While I sympathize with the guy who lost his dog, there should be other recourse than being willing to spend most of your life in prison. The woman sounds like a real piece of work, insensitive and narcissistic. But death is pretty final. Subplots are interesting. We have Hodgins and Abernathy and his grandma's secret hot sauce. The "love" thing, while cute, is pretty sappy. As a teacher of gifted kids for more than 40 years, I have seen the Brennans of the world who can't admit that their children could have a few shortcomings. My 500 page book will be coming out soon. Oh, wait, that's just Volume One. Biting is a natural, thoughtless action for a tiny little girl. For a while I thought she was going to bring in Clarence Darrow to argue her case. I'm really intrigued by Booth's unwillingness to disagree with Brennan over little things. She is completely wrong here. Is he so insecure that he thinks she will dump him if he says the wrong thing? There were some interesting things about the episode, but overall, it lacked a bit.

Hodgins was completely wrong

A communal fridge does not give anyone the right to eat someone else's food. I always hated when people would take other's food /items from the company's refrigerator.

Judge Judy!
RiaDanielle12 August 2023
Love to see a Judge Judy stand-in! Really makes an otherwise irritating episode worth watching. When I realized what the gambit was for this episode, I was hoping they would have the *actual* Judge Judy on playing a caricature of herself.

The irritating part of the episode is watching our wonderful heroin reveal herself to be a casual eugenicist (nervous laughter). Much like her approach to identifying victims, the way she talks about her daughter harkens back to the dark days of phrenology (not even that long ago). It reminded me of the "peekaboo" problem, where Bones completely misunderstands the developmental reason that game works with children, working herself up into a superiority complex-tizzy thinking her genetic offspring might not be a super genius like her. The fact that even our best-best boy, Sweets, couldn't explain "object permanence" to Bones? Very concerning.

far fetched and ridiculous

Oh, give me a break ... a judge judy (trudy) episode ... how much more ridiculous can this show get ... in writers speak, this episode was a time waster so they could dream up more wasteful ideas ... this show is in a downward spiral
