Rupert Grint had some of his best experiences while portraying Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, but that isn't to say that every moment was magical. During an interview on the Armchair Expert podcast on March 8, Grint spoke with Dax Shepard about some of the more "suffocating" moments in his 10 years as the character. "There was a time where it felt quite suffocating because it was heavy going, because it was every day for 10 years in the end," Grint said. "It was a great experience, such a nice kind of family atmosphere. It was always the same crew we kind of grew up with, so it was a great place to be. But sometimes it definitely felt like, 'I want to do something else, see what else is out there.'"
At the time Grint was cast as Ron, around 2001, only four books had been published and two movies had been planned.

Michael Jackson’s video for “Thriller” was released nearly 40 years ago, on December 2nd, 1983. Director John Landis (The Blues Brothers, An American Werewolf in London) extended the track — the seventh and final single released from the Thriller album — into a nearly 14-minute-long musical horror film, letting Michael indulge his monster-movie fantasies.

Last year it was announced that Rupert Grint was starring and executive producing Crackle’s new series “Snatch.” Now, during the streaming network’s panel at the Television Critics Association, they released the first trailer, which features the actor as the posh con man Charlie Cavendish.
The 10-episode, one-hour series is loosely based on Guy Ritchie’s 2000 comedy of the same name, starring Jason Statham and Brad Pitt. Inspired by a real-life heist in London, the series centers on a group of twenty-something, up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.

"You're a wizard, Harry!"
It's hard to believe it's been 15 years since we first heard Robbie Coltrane deliver that line in character as Rubeus Hagrid in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the first of what would turn into eight total fantasy films based on the beloved "Harry Potter" book series by J.K. Rowling.
Nov. 16, 2001 marked the day the world was introduced to Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley. Potterheads quickly fell in love with their unbreakable bond on-screen, which was noticeably just as strong when the cameras weren't rolling.

Nearly every young actor who grows up a central part of a massively popular, teen-friendly film franchise faces a dilemma. What do they do once the franchise ends? Audiences the world over have pretty much only ever known them as one type of character. Do they cling to that image? Or do they do something radically different? Almost always they opt for something radically different. It happened with the heartthrobs at the center of Twilight. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson both moved on to make some really interesting, stirring indie movies. And now it's happening with the cast of Harry Potter. This year sees Daniel Radcliffe playing a corpse (Swiss Army Man) and Rupert Grint playing a con-man (Moonwalkers), but the winner of the most challenging role is Emma Watson...

One of the most awkward moments anyone can face down in their adolescence is a possible romantic encounter with the friend you're so close to you that they're basically a relative. Well, Rupert Grint had probably the most awkward case of this phenomenon himself . as his kiss with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 co-star Emma Watson triggered some unusual discomfort. While attending this year's "Celebration Of Harry Potter" event in Orlando, the recent star of Moonwalkers spoke with People Magazine. It was there that Grint told them the story about their big kissing scene towards the end of the series' final installment, and his beautifully awkward story ran as follows: I.ve known Emma since she was literally 9 years old and we had this very brother-sister relationship. It just felt very surreal. I have a memory of her face getting closer and closer. Like, .Oh my God.. I...

Together, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger are one of literature's most magical love stories. But off-screen, the actors who portrayed them had grown up together throughout the duration of the eight Harry Potter films - and not surprisingly, that made their much-anticipated kissing scene a little awkward. "I never look back at that scene," Rupert Grint, who played Ron opposite Emma Watson's Hermione, told People on Friday at Universal Orlando's three-day Celebration of Harry Potter event. "I've known Emma since she was literally 9 years old and we had this very brother-sister relationship," explained the English actor, 27, whose new film Moonwalkers was released this month.

“Moonwalkers” takes a brilliant idea and runs it to the ground thanks to a confused and illogical screenplay, an atonal execution, and a bizarre addiction to Tarantino-level gleeful ultra-violence awkwardly crammed into what was obviously supposed to be a biting satire. It’s as if the filmmakers decided that it wasn’t enough to ape the satirical touches of “Dr. Strangelove,” so for some reason they thought inserting the over the top violence of “Punisher: War Zone” would give their meagerly-budgeted feature the fresh new angle it needed. Don’t get me wrong, both of those films are great in their own completely different terms, but together they form quite a repulsive cocktail. Here’s a look at the latest poster and red-band trailer for Alchemy’s latest film, Moonwalkers
Directed by Antoine Bardou-Jacquet, the movie stars Ron Perlman, Rupert Grint, Robert Sheehan, Stephen Campbell Moore, Jeanne Abraham, and Kerry Shale.
In Moonwalkers, after failing to locate the legendary Stanley Kubrick, an unstable CIA agent (Ron Perlman) must instead team up with a seedy rock band manager (Rupert Grint) to develop the biggest con of all time – staging the moon landing.
Director Antoine Bardou-Jacquet says he doesn’t see his film as some kind of farce. “Why would an audience be interested in a movie like this? Google “moon landing,” and add up the viewers interested in the conspiracy theory about it, and you’ll find millions of hits. All these people deserve at last the true story of how we “never” landed on the moon.”

November 16th, 2015, 11:49am– While news about Rupert Grint’s projects are slowly picking up again, we are happy to finally welcome back our long-gone Media Site! Not only is it back, but it is more practical, larger, and much better than any of our previous versions. About three years ago, we decided to discontinue the “old” Media Site (you had to download the clips before enjoying them) and planned to bring you a revamped version. Throughout this time, we tried out several different programs, but neither of them met our needs or ran smoothly enough, until we finally found one at the beginning of this year. So we used the quiet-on-the-Rupert-front time to create the largest Media Site about Rupert Grint, holding over 1.500 videos and audios ready to be viewed and listened to, from the most recent trailers for Moonwalkers all the way back to the first Harry Potter...

Today we have a restricted trailer for Alchemy's "Moonwalkers" action comedy, starring Ron Perlman (Hellboy) and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter). Check it out below. Plot: What if Apollo 11 never actually made it? What if, in reality, Stanley Kubrick secretly shot the famous images of the moon landing in a studio, working for the Us administration? This is the premise of a totally plausible conspiracy theory that takes us to swinging sixties London, where a stubborn CIA agent (Perlman) will never find Kubrick but instead is forced to team up with a lousy manager (Grint) of a seedy rock band to develop the biggest con of all time. The new movie is directed by first-time helmer Antoine Bardou-Jacquet from a script by Dean Craig (Death at a Funeral). It's set to be released in select theaters and on VOD on January 15th, 2016. "Do you really want to go back to your boss and tell him that you don't have Stanley Kubrick and you don't have the money?"
I think you’re really going to dig the story that this new comedy Moonwalkers is going to tell. The movie stars Ron Perlman and Rupert Grint, and the plot is based around Perlman’s character getting director Stanley Kubrick to secretly direct the moon landing in a studio. As I’m sure you’re aware, Kubrick faking the moon landing is actually a real conspiracy theory. I think it’s absurd, but it looks like the concept will make for a fun comedy adventure.
Moonwalkers was directed by first-time filmmaker Antoine Bardou-Jacquet, from a screenplay written by Dean Craig (Death at a Funeral). We have a red-band trailer for you to watch below. Here’s the synopsis:

"Do you really want to go back to your boss and tell him that you don't have Stanley Kubrick and you don't have the money?" Alchemy has released the first trailer for Antoine Bardou-Jacquet's Moonwalkers, a comedy about a CIA agent and a rock manager who team up and try to find Stanley Kubrick in order to fake the moon landings. I initially labeled this as an alternate history, but realized it's actually more of a funky comedy about what could've been happening down on Earth while the real moon landing was taking place. Ron Perlman and Rupert Grint star, with Robert Sheehan. There's a really fresh, original, very 60s vibe to this that makes it much more interesting than most of the comedies we see these days. Enjoy it. Here's the first official trailer for Antoine Bardou-Jacquet's Moonwalkers, direct from IGN: What if Apollo 11 never actually made it?...

Man, Hollywood really likes making movies about and or related to Stanley Kubrick. There’s “Color Me Kubrick” with John Malkovich, it feels like every year there’s some Kubrick-related script on the Black List, and this year we have “Moonwalkers” which is about that conspiracy theory that Apollo 11 never actually happened and in reality, Stanley Kubrick, secretly shot the famous images of the moon landing in a studio, working for the U.S. administration. Set in swinging sixties London, it focuses on a stubborn CIA agent (Ron Perlman a.k.a. “Hellboy") who can’t find Kubrick but instead is forced to team up with the lousy manager of a seedy rock band (Rupert Grint) to develop the biggest con of all time: staging the moon landing. The film made its world premiere earlier this year at the 2015 SXSW where is was described as a “riotous, high-tempo action-comedy.

My! Conversations between the living and the head are rarely as haunting as the one featured in our exclusive clip from The Messenger. The supernatural horror film stars Robert Sheehan, who has been very impressive as the lead in upbeat, more cheerful movies such as Killing Bono and Moonwalkers. Here he shows his darker side. And yes, he can talk to dead people, but, as you might imagine, they have very unpleasant stories to tell. From the official synopsis: The Messenger is set in the ghostly netherworld between life and death. We all want to believe in life after death and imagine loved ones looking over us, feel their presence in a draft of air - knowing they wait for us. But Jack (Robert Sheehan)...

The 21st edition of Paris' Etrange Festival came to a fiendish close last night, awarding prizes to four lucky films and leaving local genre-heads heartbroken with the knowledge that it's a full 51 weeks until next year's festivities. Top honors went to Alex Van Warmerdam's hit-man comedy Schneider Vs. Bax, a delightfully nasty piece of work that our man Todd Brown has called "occasionally shocking and frequently hilarious." While Moonwalkers, "a very broad commentary on Swinging London, complete with numerous topless women, an excess of psychedelic drugs, and a brain-fried Ron Perlman, who must team with well-meaning yet ineffective music manager Rupert Grint to [convince Stanley Kubrick to fake the moon-landing]" didn't quite wow our Peter Martin, it certainly went the distance with local festival-goers, who gave...

September 14th, 2015, 7:28am– Earlier this year, Rupert Grint appeared on the show Celebrity Taste Makers while he was in New York during the run of It’s Only A Play. The production company has released several clips from Rupert’s episode over the past week, with another clip to be posted in a few days. First is a clip of Rupert eating a snail: They also published a lovely interview with Rupert, and you can enjoy the first two parts here and here. In other news, Rupert’s film Moonwalkers, also starring Ron Pearlman and Robert Sheehan, was screened at the L’Étrange Festival in France last weekend, earning standing ovations, great reviews and the Audience Award! Congratulations to the Cast and Crew!

August 25th, 2015, 1:16pm– Rupert Grint‘s latest film, Moonwalkers, is set to be released in Japan on November 14th and today they released the very first trailer for the film (what a way to celebrate Rupert’s birthday, eh?). The trailer features Japanese writing and voiceover, but the rest of the trailer is in English so it’s easy enough to follow the action (of which there is plenty!). We can’t wait to watch this spacy adventure Rupert took with Robert Sheehan and Ron Perlman. In case you missed it, Rupert promoted Moonwalkers in Japan by doing an interview that was live streamed a couple of weeks back – check it out here. - See more at: http://www.rupert-grint.us/wordpress/#sthash.wosiYzpb.dpuf...

L'Etrange just released their 2015 festival line-up and there are a ton of great looking films to add to our must watch list. The first that jumped out at me is Moonwalkers starring Ron Perlman as a CIA agent and Rupert Grin as a rock manager who join forces to help famed filmmakers Stanley Kubrick fake the moon landing.
This kind of "what of" scenario can yield some pretty fun movies and this European funded film looks like a ton of it.
The film is directed by Antoine Bardou-Jacquet and written by Dean Craig (Death at a Funeral)

Continuing with their numerous exciting news The Exchange's CEO Brian O'Shea has announced that Robert Sheehan ("Geostorm," "Mortal Instruments," Moonwalkers," "The Misfits," and "Red Riding")has been cast as the male lead in the feature "The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight" alongside Hailee Steinfeld.
The Exchange brought the feature to Cannes'15 to sell to international buyers. CAA holds domestic sales rights.
"The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight" is written, directed, and executive produced by Academy Award-winner Dustin Lance Black ("Milk," "J. Edgar") and produced by hit makers Bruna Papandrea ("Gone Girl," "Wild," "Warm Bodies"), Caroline Kaplan ("Time Out of Mind," "Boyhood," Letters to Juliet"), and Steve Hutensky ("2:22," "The Human Stain," "The Moon and the Sun").
Set over a 24-hour period, "The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight" follows Hadley (Steinfeld,) stuck at John F. Kennedy Airport and late to her father's second wedding in London, who meets the "perfect" young man in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver (Sheehan), he's British, and he's found his way to seat 18B. Hadley is in 18A. In this story about the mad fears when love first strikes, Hadley and Oliver make it clear that true love isn't what greeting cards peddle, it's an act of bravery that's well worth the leap.
"Robert and Hailee together are perfect" O'Shea went on to state "They are both identifiable and winning, the script is sharp, the production team is aces, I really think we could have 'When Harry Met Sally' for the younger generation."
Robert Sheehan is represented by The Gersh Agency and Lisa Richards Agency.

Since breaking out in the TV likes of Misfits and Red Road, Robert Sheehan has been enjoying a solid film career. He’s adding another job to the list, signing up to co-star with Hailee Steinfeld in The Statistical Probability Of Love At First Sight.Milk writer Dustin Lance Black is directing this one, having adapted the script from Jennifer E. Smith’s novel. The story finds a young woman named Hadley (Steinfeld) waiting miserably at JFK airport for a flight to London so she can begrudgingly attend her father’s second wedding. But things brighten up when she meets a charming British guy (Sheehan), and they end up seated next to each other on the plane. Sparks start to fly and the resulting 24 hours becomes more interesting... Black is gearing up to shoot later this year. Sheehan, meanwhile, has worked on Moonwalkers, Jet Trash and The Messenger, and will...

Daniel Radcliffe has transitioned successfully from leading boy to leading man with films like The Woman in Black and Kill Your Darlings. Emma Watson has focused on working with interesting directors like Sophia Coppola and Darren Aronofsky. So, that accounts for two of the three leads from the Harry Potter film franchise, but where’s Rupert Grint? We’ve spotted him at SXSW! He’s starring in the new comedy Moonwalkers, a drug-fueled, hyper-violent, swinging-sixties story of CIA agent Kidman (played by Ron Perlman), deeply troubled by visions of those he’s killed in foreign wars, who’s sent across the pond to solicit the assistance of Stanley Kubrick to fake the moon landing in case the real one goes awry. Inept hustler Jonny (Grint, feeling 100...

We all know the famous conspiracy theory suggesting Stanley Kubrick helped the government fake the moon landing. For some reason, this myth lives on in the minds of some people, but no one has really capitalized in the movies with exploring this theory. Moonwalkers looks to play with that even more by saying the request never even got to Kubrick but ended up in the hands of a lousy British band manager (Rupert Grint) and a violent CIA agent (Ron Perlman). What follows hopes to be a raucous comedy but ends up being a miserable, unfunny sit you just want to end. Everything is in place for some laughs. You have the fish out of water aspect with Perlman playing Kidman, a straight laced, very violent man in among a group of hippies. You have the 1960s drug culture to exploit for jokes. You have the absurdity of these talentless...

It’s hilarious. The boundaries of bromance, marriage, friendship and even penis comedy are pushed to a very funny limit with this film. It’s great to see Schilling doing great work outside of “Orange is the New Black.”

What if you wanted to fake a moon landing in 1969, and could get Stanley Kubrick to do it? The idea is so silly that it lends itself easily to comedy, and Moonwalkers milks it furiously, spinning into a very broad commentary on Swinging London, complete with numerous topless women, an excess of psychedelic drugs, and a brain-fried Ron Perlman, who must team with well-meaning yet ineffective music manager Rupert Grint to accomplish the task at hand. Perlman stars as Kidman, a Vietnam War veteran who served three years and is now suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, plagued by horrifying visions. Nonetheless he is drafted for a dubious mission by the CIA: go to London and secure Stanley Kubrick, fresh off 2001: A Space Odyssey,...

March 13th, 2015, 2:24pm– While we are counting down the hours until we get to see Rupert Grint at the Moonwalkers premiere tomorrow, Partizan has released the very first clip from the film to get us even more excited. The clip shows the first meeting between Rupert’s character, Jonny, and Ron Perlman‘s character, Kidman. Check it out: Partizan also released a mini teaser on their Instagram earlier today – just a few seconds to get us in a Moonwalking mood. You can see that here. Remember to check back tomorrow – Rupert will be attending the world premiere of Moonwalkers at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. South by Southwest starts tomorrow, Friday, March 13, and my pores are beaming with excitement, though that could just be a medical condition. I am looking at a very packed schedule of films over the nine day festival, with a total of 38 in all (36 reviews to write). So, I basically will be drowning in movies. But, then again, I can't complain too much, as I wouldn't have it any other way. You can take a look at what I hope my schedule ends up being below. Obviously, things could change as the festival progresses, with some titles getting more buzz than others and overtaking current films and so forth. But, I think, this is how I will be spending my SXSW. I will be updating this post throughout the festival with schedule changes and links to my reviews, so maybe bookmark this page if you're interested. I hope you enjoy my coverage,...
