Underrated show
noduskasebenik16 September 2015
All other summaries I found about this show seemed rather boring, but I gave the show a chance anyway and I don't regret it. Maybe it's not one of those anime that get you hooked on episode 1, but it still doesn't take too long.

Show has 2 seasons, after that you have to read manga, the anime does successful job in making you interested enough to pick up the manga. Give it a chance.

Rikue is 1/4 yokai (demon) and 3/4 a human. He tries to hide that fact from his human friends. But at the same time he has demon comrades. He tries to protect them both, while embracing the fact that he's both human and a yokai. He grows stronger throughout the show, anime basically follows his fights as a yokai.

-For more details watch the anime and read manga.

Better than Yo Kai Watch
WeAreLive12 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
In days of old, people feared Yokai. The one that stood at the helbe and lead the night parade of a 100 demons was known as the supreme commander of the yokai. The had another name for him, the lord of pandemonium, nurire yurne.

Rikuo Nura appears to be an average middle school student. No one knows that he comes home every day to a house full of youkai, nor that he transforms into the all-powerful leader of these spirits at night. However, much to the disappointment of many, Rikuo is determined to live as normal a life as possible. His school friends Kiyotsugu, Jiro, Saori, Natsumi and the beautiful Kana are in a paranormal patrol club believe Yo Kai are real and they go on diffrent adventures to discovered. Then Yura Keikain a shy but beautiful girl joins the club she knows a lot more than they do.

This series is like Yokai watch but only better and being aimed at a matured audience. So as a heads up to Pokemon fanboys claiming that Yo kai watch ripoff Pokemon just remember this series existed.

The stories plot i found very fun to watch and I don't have any complaints that i can think of.

The dub by Viz was excellent although it was weird how they used separate actors for both of Rikuo's forms.

The music of the first intro and the two endings were good. Though I didn't like how the second intro was some weird k-pop rapper.

If you want to have an anime which is yokai based and is a good shoein I strongly recommend this.
