All the Reagans are involved

Tom Selleck gets ambushed so to speak in this Blue Bloods episode. He's at a reception and teen concert cellist Sheetal Sheth asks for his help. As Selleck is the hero nothing else he can do but help. Sheth wants to stay in this country because she will be killed by her father for a romantic fling. That's a disgrace to a Moslem family.

I can attest to the truth of that. Back in my working days at Crime Victims Board I did a pair of claims for two brothers who were killed by the father of a girl one of them was fooling around with. The problem was she was married and note it wasn't the husband it was the father who did the deed. He forgot that in the USA such things aren't done.

Donnie Wahlberg finally gets to anger management class after blowing up at a potential witness. The victim was a 10 year old child. He thinks it a joke, but later he has to patiently deal with a most upset father with a gun. Maybe there was something to what he scoffed at previously.

After Sami Gayle gets upset with her mother Bridget Moynahan for being overbearing teaching her to drive, it's gentle and patient Uncle Jamie drafted to deal with the driving lessons. The contrasting scenes with Bridget Moynahan and Will Estes as driving instructors is enlightening.

All in all a nice Blue Bloods story.

Warning: Spoilers
Danny's behavior at work makes him be sent to anger management classes. How I wish the doctor there and others could have seen how well he behaved during a possible hostage situation on a bus. He was cool, calm and quite reserved, given a difficult situation.

The sidebar story was just all right. A Turkish woman musician wants asylum in the U.S. since she has dated here and fears that she will face death when she returns home. The family at home is quite strict and her cousin was killed by the girl's father for something similar. It shows how Frank went to bat for the girl and it also showed that you have to know people to get what you want.

Erin is obnoxious when working with her daughter for the latter to pass her driver's exam. Jamie reminds her of her infractions.

With what police have to go through, no wonder they're called for anger management. Police brass fear that not only will it affect their jobs, they will take the job home with them and leave it out to family members.

Unrealistic

Warning: Spoilers
Before using a country name, the writers must search about the current situation, culture and etc of the country.

The story of Turkish woman is like a story from Arabic countries but not definitely from Turkey. Also the name Isabelle Nassar is not neither a Turkish nor a Muslim name.

I would expect more realistic scenarios from a production like this one. The scenarist who have written this episode could at least google a little bit. With this way he/she could at least have some ideas about Turkey. Also it is very shocking that Tom Selleck accepted this scenario since I am sure he knows Turkey well enough..
