Excellent Episode

I thought this was an excellent episode. It is one of my favorite shows to watch and it gets better each episode. I am not sure if this show was for timing of "black history" month but perfect timing. However, I know this show deals with all issues/color lines/religion/political, etc. It is perhaps what/or why I like most about the show. I especially enjoy the family dinners and their closeness/willingness to help each other out where ever/or when ever the need arises.

The storyline around the father seeking justice was truly intriguing and enlighten. It had been at least a decade past+ which would put this in a category of a cold case gone dead. I truly was inspired by his determination to whatever was necessary since he had followed the typical protocol. I am one that is a believer that you should go to the very top and only deal with the decision makers and ones that can make things happened.

The other two sidebar story lines were great, as well and no disrespect to discount them at all. The friend short fuse causes him to loose his cool and the brothers stand by his side thru the end to help he and his family through the ordeal.

Lastly, Frank and his PR friend/assistant have to deal with some tough love for each other. I love Frank's integrity throughout the entire ordeal. There no taking the easy way out for him at all regardless the cost. However, his PR person doesn't see it that way but this is where you see where true friendships is tested and well written to say the least.

I rate this episode a 10++

Money isn't Everything ****

Warning: Spoilers
Still another truly excellent show was shown on this past episode. Even the sidebar stories were excellent.

The main story is where Erin and Danny reopen a cold case of an unsolved murder. This is due to the pleading of the victim's father. Even wealth and buying people off to establish an alibi will ultimately bring you to justice.

Frank's spokesman said some unflattering things about his boss years before when he was working for the opposing side in a mayoral election. Frank's calm demeanor and willingness to forgive highlights this part of the show.

While playing in a basketball game, Danny and Jamie witness their friend belt a guy who makes fun of the latter's weight. The assaulted victim decides to press charges as he is hurting financially. Unfortunately, they have to arrest their friend and then to add insult to injury, he has to remain in prison since he did something similar before. This brings Erin's daughter to question the justice system.

The show keeps getting better and better.

Closing a frigid cold case
bkoganbing1 September 2016
ADA Bridget Moynahan and her detective brother Donnie Wahlberg work together to solve a cold case murder that has turned positively frigid. The appeal of a father who used a bit of subterfuge to get to see Moynahan gets to her. The father is of the opinion that a certain rich privileged kid whom his daughter was dating did the deed. It's not easy especially with the file disappearing, still the evidence is obtained. The story is in the how and the who.

The secondary story line involves a pickup basketball game that gets a bit out of hand between cops and firemen. A lawyer friend of Will Estes gets invited to the game and gets roughed up. He decides to press charges and sue.

Watching this you get a real good indication why Estes walked away from the legal profession. This lawyer of his is one real bottom feeding litigious piece of garbage.

I liked this one because the secondary story is the equal of the primary and makes for a balanced viewing.
