Warning: Spoilers
I don't know if I should liked this mini series or not; it has believable, beautiful acting, tons of chemistry between loca 1 and loca 2, many humorous situations, an ephemeral cute blonde grumpy baby kid :O, a dentist and unfortunately too few runtime and episodes, it needed between 18 to 25 episodes in its first season.

Nevertheless, it's made in Canada as a comedy and will definitely drag its fans to hopefully soon season 2.

So fun!!
ingridraedoucet1 February 2024
I loved this show.. it's hilarious and beautifully shot. And very relatable. The actors are fabulous and very funny!! I really liked the two leads relationship and how their friendship is portrayed. I've been through making a baby challenges and it was really refreshing to watch a show about this topic. Especially two women going through this together.

It's a bit Sex and the City meets 30 Rock meets Platonic! Great clothes/ friendship and excellent supporting cast .

Toronto looks beautiful and it was fun to see spots I recognized.

I hope there is a second season!! Watch and tell your pals!!

I want more!

I found this show by chance really.

I was watching L&O Toronto and I wondered where I knew the ME from, as I was watching her filmography I found this show, the cover was interesting so I clicked and when I read the synopsis I knew I had to watch it.

Thankfully the show didn't disappoint, it's a great, light and fun watch.

The chemistry between the actresses is off the charts, it's well written and surprisingly well shot, I expected something very low budget but this could easily have been on TV.

In the end I wanted more, much more! The show is too fast paced, it needed either longer episodes or more episodes. It would have been fun to see them go on more dates with the men. I would have loved to see more of the dentist and his boyfriend.

I wanted more interaction between the blonde boyfriend whose name I can't remember (Nico?) and the women. He was so annoyed with them, i wanted that part of the show to be further explored.

Anyway, I do hope there will be a second season and I really hope for longer episodes!

Cute and quirky with heart!

This is a really fun series that perfectly delivers on its premise! Short episodes that each stand alone but also build to a larger story, its pacing stands out as unique next to more formulaic stuff that feels tied to the network format. Anna and Rosa feel like grounded, lived-in characters (no doubt because it's semi-autobiographical) but they also elevate the comedy to absurd levels when it's needed. A shame that review bombers have got to it because I had a really fun time watching. Binged the season in a single sitting. Here's hoping season 2 can keep delivering on this unique and modern buddy comedy!

Hilarious and Honest
MB_yogini7 February 2024
I found this series so refreshing! The characters are so funny, the writing is smart and the acting is top-notch. What I loved the most, was the honesty and humour it was able to bring to a subject that is often hard for people to talk about. I binge watched the entire first season. So satisfying. I would in fact love the show to be longer but the short format actually works really well. I quickly became invested in the characters. Following the ups and downs of their journey was so entertaining. Anna and Rosa are the perfect yin and yang to one another and I can't wait to see what happens with them next. Season two please!

Funny, real and lighthearted

I loved season 1 of Nesting. I was going to watch the pilot and ended up binging the entire season in one go. The writing is really good, great acting, and the storyline resonated with me on many levels. The fact that was shot all over Toronto makes it a special watch for any Torontonians at heart. The dating adventures and the possible donor interviews were quite real and rather funny. I think they nailed it. Having considered having kids as a queer man, I identified with the process they were going through a lot. If you want a fun, smart and interesting show to watch, look no further. I can't wait for season 2!

Fun and oh so watchable
I watched this show while I was in a waiting room and I binged 3 episodes and couldn't wait to keep watching. Such fast pace funny situations true friendship and sisterhood. I then continued to watch it on my commute home on the Go train what a terrific show for exactly that. Episodes are short engaging funny. I loved the editing and performances and the music is really wonderfully knit in. The direction is sharp and I believe the world picture of all the characters. Yet have i seen a show on this subject matter handled w such heart and humor and love. Bravo to all involved. I'm hoping to see what happens in season 2.

A fun romp with heart!

I really don't understand the 4.2 rating on this series. Although, some of the characters are somewhat dense, the acting is great and they're funny. The storyline and storytelling is compelling and I found it quite enjoyable. I highly recommend binge watching this when you have a free hour. The show follows the pursuit of two best friends, both of which are looking for a sperm donor to father a child for each of them. It takes us along their humorous journey of interviews and interactions along the way. While some of the moments are silly, overall, it's a delightful ride. Take the journey. You won't regret it.

Funny & heartwarming

I absolutely loved this show! It's so refreshing to finally find a lighthearted comedy that represents what building a family looks like now for most of us. The struggle for wanting or not being able to have kids is real! But this show brings some humour and lightness to a really tough subject for most. These characters are so fun to watch as they represent peices of us, who stumble and get back up to work at creating the life that they've always wanted. It's an authentic story that is silly and will make you laugh out loud, with a touch of drama...and love that it includes Queer stories for us!

Amazing!
hfzdytmz4 February 2024
I absolutely loved season 1 of Nesting. It is everything that I could ask for in a series: It is well written, the acting was amazing, it was full of surprises and it made me laugh the whole way through. From the very first scene I was hooked.... I couldn't imagine where it would go next. The main characters had such incredible chemistry. The episodes were short but full of depth. I watched the entire season in one night and could easily have kept going. I haven't seen such a unique series in a long time. The last episode leaves so much to look forward to. I can't wait for season 2 of Nesting!

Fun and crazy ride
anneprimedonald6 February 2024
Although I'm well past the age of trying to make babies I found Nestings to be an honest, quirky and laugh out loud romp through the realities of women going out and getting what they want...and as it turns out, the men too!

Each episode is a new ride of the awkward, funny, trivial and monumental aspects of the road they need to travel to secure their dreams of motherhood. Anna and Rosa are superb and relatable and are surrounded by an outstanding cast of men who all have a roll in making the dream come alive...or not.

The (mini) mini series are well designed moments in time in the evolving world of 2024 baby making. Cheeky and heartfelt I can't wait to see the messy funky Tiny House next season...and who is living there!
