With Pres Fitz gulping Scotch and wallowing in misery, feeling betrayed and shutting out everyone close to him, Olivia has a fresh case on her hands: David awakens to find a dead woman in his bed, a knife in his hand, and blood all over the place. Someone has set him up and Olivia and her team will need to find out who that is. This dead woman dug up dirt by getting men she was sleeping with to provide her secrets or roofied them, fishing for stuff while they were under. This time someone took her out, so Olivia and her team make sure the body is moved and his apartment is clean of any incriminating evidence. Meanwhile, CIA operatives were captured by terrorists with Fitz perhaps deciding on sending in a Seal team. What he doesn't realize is that he has a mole among his staff, learned when his Seal team find no one at the location where the captives were being held (wrong address based on faulty intel). Cy is agonizing over Fitz isolating him out from helping in decision making and not taking his opinions, while Mellie decides to throw him under the bus, claiming to Fitz that is was all Cy's idea to pursue the rigging in Defiance. A christening for Cy and James' child brings Olivia and Fitz in the same proximity, and the two have one last sexual encounter before the Pres says they are done! Abby feels guilty as David's career as District Attorney is over and the only job he could find was teaching at a local college. Rightfully blaming Olivia, David's life couldn't get much worse but in his troubles, he might just be able to help Pope & Associates uncover why a flash drive in his computer has highly classified military and White House secrets, put in his computer by the dead girl found murdered by him in his apartment. Scott Foley joins the show as a highly decorated military officer who wanted information from the dead girl prior to her murder, and he is shown spying on Olivia, with cameras in every room of her home! In my opinion the best scene has David setting his successor to the office he once occupied straight regarding what would happen if he was prosecuted with nothing substantial, while Harrison has little to do but watch. Olivia's swimming and Fitz is liquoring up to hold off their miseries apart. Mellie's angling to have her man all to herself, with attempts to sex up Fitz in the shower and claiming Cy was the initiator in the Defiance scam is revealing of what kind of master manipulator she really is.

32 minutes and 21 seconds into S2 E14 is the steamiest love scene of the entire run of Scandal IMO! Originally airing on February 14, 2003. This scene picks up with Olivia and Fitz attending the christening of baby Ella. The two had not been together for a while because Fitz broke it off with Olivia when he found out about her participation in rigging his election. The writer's DO NOT disappoint with this "Olitz " reunion. The song choice was on point as the "theme" of their relationship. Olivia enters the church as the song begins (I don't know why I love you baby) playing as she does that OP walk down the isle. Fitz is stop in his tracks as he gets his first look at her. She's wearing a pale green suit that would put Jackie O. And Marilyn to shame. Neither of them are able to break their trance as baby Ella is being baptized, even though Mellie watches on. After the ceremony the guests move from the chapel into another room of the White House for a celebratory toast , but still they cannot keep from stealing a glance at on another. After the toast everyone gathers around to see the baby. Olivia makes her exit out of the room and heads down the corridor. After some thought Fitz decides to follow her. Hot on her heels he marches down the hallway after her as if he was marching into battle. Finally he catches up to her with one hand he grabs her and with the other he opens the door and pulls her into a utility closet. Shocked and stunned when Fitz passionately kisses her, she pushes him away and slaps him across his face. Both burning with desire, Olivia gives in to his pursuit and returns the kiss. There are electric panels all over the room but none compared to the flames these two generate! Nothing compares to the #Olitz romance!
