(Season 1 review) Bam could have done better with a concept other than a game show.

I think with as much budget as he was given and the format that was used he did the best he could, which was a dumbed down Jack Ass with random people that was going to be compared to Wipe Out and the progenitor Japanese game shows that spawned Wipe Out.

It's really disappointing that the studio didn't just follow the format of Viva La Bam, what this game show should have been was more like Real World or Big Brother House with publicity stunts to pick the cast of each season. Those shows always have contests to attract crazy people and then get people hyped about the crazy people they found.

I hate to give this a bad review because I think if Bam is produced right he can draw crowds to a show and turn profits for what ever studio he works for. Basically FIX THIS SHOW! there is a good show here but the design is a mess!

TBS/Jackass game show

Take the show for what it is, if you're expecting TBS to match MTV's content rating you'll be disappointed ;but if you go in understanding the content TBS is known for and imagine that with Bam's twist on a game show you'll find it enjoyable enough to watch.

I think putting regular people through toned down Jackass/CKY style stunts actually makes fans appreciate how over the top the Jackass/CKY crew goes.

Plus if you love seeing that stain Novak get exactly what he deserves, you'll really love it. I think any one who has had a good for nothing, thieving, junkie friend that took advantage of all the help you tried to offer can appreciate seeing that type of guy get the royal treatment!

I'd have rated it higher had there been more than a single 6 episode season, would have been cool to see this show mature.

Waste of Time

I am really sorry to have to say this, but watching this so called "Bam's Bad Ass Game Show" is a waste of time and talent.

Talent not on the side of the participants but on the side of bam and his entourage.

The "Stunts" are lame, there's no tension, bam and his crew but especially bam look quite bored, not enthusiastic at all.

The best part is played by Novak because - no surprise here - get's the worst of this show which is also really the best this show is rewarding it's audience with.

The rest is just lame, boring, time wasted.

So far i've seen everything that has been officially released in this "genre", like the cky videos, jackass on mtv, the jackass movies, viva la bam, unholy union, minghags and so on ... and all was good, funny, worth watching if you are in that kind of stuff ... but this here, this lame ass game show ... enough said!

Why was this ever made?

Warning: Spoilers
I really don't get it.

Who came up with the brilliant idea of making a gameshow that can only be described as a mentally challenged hybrid of Fear Factor and Jackass.

Only the Jackass-relatable stunts were made so safe and tv-friendly that i almost fell asleep.

I understand they don't want to hurt their competitors but this was just disappointing to watch.

The contestants has to do "stunts" like running across porter-potties while being fired upon by t-shirt cannons etc.

Another example was a spelling bee where the losers would get an ostrich-egg poired on the face while being attached to some rotating, padded thingy.

When asked to spell out what i would say was relatively easy words, the remaining contestants did quite well, except for this one guy who had an iq like a loaf of bread.

While all this nonsense takes place, Bam who for some reason sports a walking cain makes stupid comments and one-liners for his yes-men to laugh at.

If this was the 2014-version of Bam Margera i fully understand why the rest of the Jackass crew were desperate to get rid of him.

In my opinion he's the one who has contributed the least for Jackass.

He made some 'skits' where the brunt lf the so called joke was his parents.

Just sad to watch, really.

What's also sad is that Bam doesn't seem to have changed or had any form of evolution as a human since they aired Jackass in the mid-late 90's.

He's still the same entitled brat he was back then, only now he's closing to 50 years if he hasn't passed the mark already, and his behaviour and remarks is the one of a 14-15 year old edgelord.

In conclusion; i fully understand why only 6 episodes of this show was made. This show can not have been watched by many people.

I'm aware this show was made back in 2014 but i live in Norway and just warched the show today.

Apparently they show all kinds of crap during nighttime tv over here.

I'll advice you all to sit this one out and go for a walk or take a 30 minute powernap.

That's a much better use of your time than watching Bam strutting around dressed like a homeless person(i especially liked the scarf with 300 safety-pins in it) with his douchy cain.

Well, actually when i said that last sentence back in my mind the image i got was kinda fun but watch on own risk!

I suspect he might be making his own clothes.

The end.

Meh.

I am a fan of Bam Margera and have watched his previous programs including "Jackass", "Viva La Bam", and "Bam's Unholy Union". As stupid as all of those shows are, they were all rather enjoyable and more entertaining than the typical reality TV show. With that being said, Bam Margera dropped off the grid for many years after his fellow Jackass star Ryan Dunn passed away in a violent car crash. Finally Bam is back on television now with this new game show titled "Bam's Bad Ass Game Show" (BBAGS) on TBS. BBAGS is a game show where a number of contestants compete against each other in dumbed down, "Jackass" style stunts. From riding in barrels to other wacky stunts, contestants are eliminated one by one until there is a last man standing, who wins $10,000 if they make it through all of the challenge.

BBAGS has Bam as well as a few other of his famous friends/guest in various episodes. To jump to the point, BBAGS is a bit lacking. The stunts as mentioned before, are merely dumbed down Jackass-style stunts. The games and stunts are rather unentertaining to watch and there isn't that fear of someone getting seriously injured like on Jackass. Furthermore Bam just seems a bit bored hosting this show. There's less of his antics and more focus on the game show itself (which isn't a bad thing), except the game show portion is just a bit stale. Furthermore you know a show is running out of ideas fast when they start running all young, hot female contestants to draw in more viewers as they did in the last episode. Last but not least, some of the "games" on this show are really stupid. One was a quiz round with extremely stupid/random questions that sound like something someone took five minutes to make up before filming. There's not much more to say at this point. This show is severely lacking in entertainment and excitement. The show is very budget-y as well filmed in some warehouses outside of Philadelphia. Overall Bam Margera's show is a bit lacking. It was watchable, but if something else was better on television at the time, I would probably change the channel. I do think there is potential with this show if they up the budget a bit more and do some more exciting games/contest for the contestants to compete in. But where it stands now, BBAGS is below average in my opinion and it looks like it's not going to change much.
