No pun intended - I also watched a feature length movie quite recently, that had a similar theme. But it took its time with the development and it was able to shock you in the first 5 minutes ... have to admit, since I had no idea what it was about I was quite shocked. And that was the idea ... this one takes its time ... even though you may guess that it probably goes in a similar direction.
Acting is good, and it has some nice effects. I think it is a nice learning piece - maybe cut a bit here and there, make it tighter at places and drive the movie home - a bit faster. Or be really engaging in a way that does not just feel like you want to fill the time so the short movie is longer.
All in all a decent short for sure.
