Interesting but could have been better
jimlacy200317 March 2014
Over all I found this movie pretty interesting.

I have made my own studies of a lot of the topics so little of it is new to me. Happy because this might educate a lot of people on the existence of several key things that effect everyone's life. Hopefully it will make "critical thinkers" out of more people and they will look deeper into the world around them.

The USA (and the world) monopolies. These are powerful monopolies that are part of the ecosystems of government that control a lot of the world. In this movie the key theory is the petroleum monopoly. Yes it has a huge bearing on the world, but it's certainly not the only one. Another they briefly mention the banking system though, another big gov backed monopoly establishment. But they really didn't touch on two of the other big ones like the medical/drug and farming/food ones.

In any of these cases these monopolies cause suppression of workable technologies for "free energy" and energy use reductions, working cures for cancer, financial freedom (using actual material representation, bartering, etc., as opposed to the fiat money scam), etc.

If the reader/viewer really wants to get a wake up call. Web search for "Royal Raymond Rife". Don't stop at the "wikipedia" though as this "free" encyclopedia is very much controlled by the above mentioned monopolies with deliberate suppression and alterations/spinning of information. What you will learn is Raymond Rife discovered a totally workable branch of biological technology still way ahead of it's time and he found a simple workable and proved cure for at least one form of cancer and TB over 70 years ago! Then read how the AMA with the help of the FDA almost completely suppressed it all until about ten years ago.

Then read about Thomas Henry Moray and his energy ("free") machine. I've been fortunate to personally talk to Moray's surviving son, and read a lot about it. It seems plausible, and one has to recognize Moray actually invented the transistor (what he called the "moray valve") long before Bell labs was credited for it et al. But then again like anyone else I probably really wouldn't believe it until I could see it for my self.

These things tell you though for sure that these monopolies and the government are behind the suppression of key technologies that has held the world back by at least a 100 years. And furthermore the medical industry would rather have millions of people die each year rather then give up their billions in monopoly profits.

Now in this movie the whole Alien thing seems way out there. But then again, probably one of those things you have to study and or experience to see if it has any merit to it.

A lot of the movie was very wordy and hyped up. I hope if and when the part 2 comes out it will go into much more details and less marketing/hype and less trying to convince people. What people need is just facts, statistics, and real raw data. Also little antidotes to put things in to perspective with our current world situation..

I had been looking forward to see this documentary ever since i first heard about it but it didn't satisfy me. At the beginning, i had a feeling that it would be about ufos or "any exciting disclosure". I think, i shouldn't trust my inner voice anymore :).I appreciate Mr. Greer, Because he couldn't have made a better self promotion. This documentary is all about Steven Greer. Honestly, i have watched better documentaries on youtube. This one disappointed me beyond my expectations.Sirius should have been more serious and intriguing. Perhaps, It is my fault to have expected more from this documentary. I should have stopped watching youtube videos long before i watched Sirius. After all,No matter what i have said about this documentary, At least, he has taken serious step forward on this subject. Even though, I did't enjoy it, It is at least something.

Oxy-Moron: but a fun to watch Paradox.
caseywilliamwalker25 April 2013
So from the get go the film is an entire paradox of what it was initially made for, and that is: 1)All information should be freely available to the public & 2)The media is distorting the minds of people so they will believe their supposed lies & 3) Aliens exist and we have evidence.

In relation to the first message they ask you to buy the film or rent it which makes this information not free at all, shattering number one before you even start the movie.

For number 2 since this is a documentary they of course are doing everything they can to get the viewer to believe them even if it means plowing over simple facts, logic, and basic human psychology. They indeed commit what they accuse the media of doing: Persuasion by fact distortion.

And number 3; who knows if what they are saying is really true about some alien they found because by the end of the movie their conclusion is inconclusive as well. But over all if you love the UFO conspiracy as much as I do this is a great film to watch!

We were promised disclosure, but were hustled for $10
beef-638-12143625 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Steven M. Greer is central in this production, summarizing footage that was claimed as "proof" for decades already so nothing much new there. Unclear video's of old hoaxes and apparent moving lights, of which a few were definitely a lens flare. Images widely available and quite old.

Also he refers to the Brahmāstra weapon mentioned in the Mahabharata. That text is spiritual by nature, and some people claim it describes a nuclear weapon. But that is just a willful misinterpretation of a spiritual story, which is sometimes used as an argument to support the claim that alien civilizations have been interfering with humanity throughout history.

Greer refers to himself as an ER doctor, but he quit that line of work in 1997. He has not been a practicing doctor since, yet he is constantly referred to as doctor. I guess that is the one thing which gives him some credibility, and he milks that titles to the max.

We see Greer meditating, claiming that is the way to summon Alien ships. Also we see Greer carry a sidearm. Paranoid? Yeah, I thought so too.

Then, attention shifts towards an all-embracing conspiracy theory: new and better energy sources are claimed to be prevented from ever getting patented. The Bilderberger group. And other.

Three items are shown that would have to fit the bill of disclosure: a free energy device, which is clearly a simple coil picking up a magnetic field from under the table to power a light bulb. This is probably the lowest Greer is going, to support his claims. Does he actually believe that "free energy" device, I wonder. To me it made me think of the youtube video's of cellphones apparently causing corn to pop, while in fact they hid parts of a microwave oven under the table. No effort was made in the movie, to show the "free energy" device in a less suspicious experimental setup.

The "miniature alien" was confirmed to be human by researcher Garry Nolan from Stansford University, though Greer claims it was proved alien by the same Garry Nolan!

Lies, lies lies.

Finally, a device was shown that allegedly lost weight when in motion. Let me think a reason why this isn't allover the papers by now. Ow, right, because it's a fake, just like the "free energy" device.

The fact this movie did not disclose ANYTHING is widely supported by the lack of any scientific news, like scientists baffled over the shown devices - which would inevitably get picked up by the media. But of course, there is a huge conspiracy preventing such publications.

So looking back, there was a big promotion campaign promising major disclosure in a free movie. But it is just a commercial production cleverly devised to snatch $10 out of every UFO-believer's wallet. It is a clever con.

I can't say I'm surprised.

Passionate Beliefs Mixed With Mostly Smoke & Mirrors
AudioFileZ25 May 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is a fairly polished production. It aspires to much more than it achieves. It can't be diminished, however, that there are many passionate believers/witnesses who beg for transparency in everything the government may know regarding the UFO/EBE question.

Those of us who have gobbled up everything UFO on the internet for years will not get anything much in the way of a "revelation" as this film rehashes, mostly, already seen stories and footage. This is a negative when the pre-release brouhaha was all about being groundbreaking with what may be the first actual alien body discovery. Speaking of that the miniature whatever it is, this quite ridiculous looking mummified mini-skeleton seems more like a circus sideshow relic than something causing a quantum shift as a "real" verifiable alien would provide. The attempt at high science at a major university has basically failed...the guy in charge said some people would call it "junk" even though he doesn't entirely dismiss it. This was to be the big reveal, I'm guessing, and it definitely fell flat.

Moving on to zero point energy the film fails too. All of what is shown has either been on YouTube or is definitely about the same as some I've already seen there. Everyone is claiming to have more out than in, but no one can prove what is the actual mechanism and therefore scale it successfully. I truly get sick of hearing about "free energy" that absolutely no one ever delivers on. There either is zero point or there isn't and until something that actually works in the mainstream appears I do not believe these videos prove anything. It is mostly just smoke and mirrors as is most of this film.

I've painted a dim picture of this movie, but I do actually respect Dr. Steven Greer for his passion and drive. I do not see, however, the film he's made here does much to actually prove anything or even reveal something. I'm saying all this and I do believe there are truly UFOS in our skies quite regularly. I even will go as far as to say I think at least some of them may well not be of some advanced "black" project that is linked to earthly technology. Sirius doesn't further advance my guarded beliefs however. See only if you need a decent review of what you already know and like music that to me at least was decidedly on the creepy/cheesy side.

Bravely Confronts the Status Quo
chatte_noire132 January 2014
This movie isn't for everyone. Few people are interested in examining what is truth, or even questioning what qualifies as true. If you are uncomfortable with having your beliefs challenged, you won't enjoy this film.

I think the people who hated this film probably weren't able to comprehend its message, which is a shame. The complex information being presented could only be "dumbed down" so much. I read all the negative reviews, and kept asking myself if we were watching the same film.

If you're not actively processing what's being presented, you'll miss a lot of significant information. My husband and I paused the movie often to discuss things, or we'd rewind and watch again to make sure we didn't miss something important. This isn't for a lazy viewer.

If you, like me, enjoy a good puzzle and some mystery, and if you're able to suspend your disbelief long enough to follow an unfamiliar train of logic to a new, unconsidered conclusion, you should find this documentary to be thoroughly engaging and enjoyable.

Regardless of whether the claims are true or false, the point of watching this film is to learn the claims and decide for yourself what you think about them. Don't let other people foist their opinions on you! Give the movie a go and you can decide what to believe and what to scoff at.

It's just bad.
TAHQ27 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This is an awful documentary made for all the wrong reasons. Mixing science with new age I am confused about what they are trying to say.

No new evidence at all, only the same old stories. They claim free energy is here, and have been for a long time, its just evil men and governments who wanna hide it from us. THEN SHOW US A WORKING FREE ENERGY DEVICE! Its just BS, no news here.

They claim the can make UFOs appear at night by using meditation and being "one" with the universe.OK, some lights appear, but it doesn't prove anything. Try getting the UFOs to show up during daytime so we can see them, make them land, not just lights in the sky at night.

The skeleton/corpse of a strange little humanoid is interesting but nothing proved there either.

Its a bad movie made be people lost in their own paranoid strange world. Sad really, we need this questions to be taken seriously by smart people, not by this bunch of amateurs.

Far bigger than any "UFO" documentary that you've seen
MoDo1227 April 2013
I just caught this online and was very impressed with it. This film doesn't focus on blurry UFO footage or regurgitated testimonials from the 2001 disclosure project, it is in fact far bigger than that.

Rather than focus on telling people that UFO's are real, they pin point the aspects on why the topic gets buried, and why disclosure must be taken into the hands of the people. How they do this, and the facts and figures shown are top notch for such a buried, ridiculed and (for some) downright terrifying subject.

Blend the documentaries "IOUSA" and "Inside job" with Real UFO stuff and you'll be close in your expectations. However keep in mind their budget was minimal but on par with most documentaries of this kind.. (Greer gave up his $500,000/year emergency room surgeon job to do this stuff for peanuts, and has stated in interviews that they couldn't fit everything in that they wanted due to cost restrictions)

If you don't know who Dr. Steven Greer is I suggest you do some research before watching the film. Greer is no joke and by far one of the most credible and hard working people in the extraterrestrial realm and this film does his name the justice that I was expecting.

Not even close to "groundbreaking" as promised.
morgan-rafael25 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Overall, it is a well produced documentary for the general public. For independent thinkers who have been investigating such subjects for a long time, there is really nothing new.

The first thing I disliked about it is that it started by talking about Hindu mythology, and how it may indicate that nuclear warfare may have happened thousands of years ago. First, the information about an alleged ancient nuclear blast in India, allegedly found in the Mahabharata, comes from a book called "Morning of the Magicians". Ancient aliens theorists have been repeating this disinformation for so many years that they actually ended up believing it can be found in the Mahabharata, while in fact, it comes from a fictional French book.

Anyway, even if this information was genuine, which is not, if they want to deal with such subject seriously, they should have stick to science and facts, not mythology. Interpreting religious symbolism and myths as historic facts is kind of starting with the wrong foot for an allegedly science/facts based documentary.

Also, right in the beginning, they briefly talked about UFOs in art, which is a very controversial subject. All image examples showed in the documentary regarding this specific subject were already cohesively refuted and debunked by sacred arts specialists from all over the world. What they called UFOs in the documentary, are actually notorious symbolic representations of the sun and moon, among other religious symbolism.

The above issues could, and should, be left out of the documentary, since they open a huge space for discrediting. In fact, such information doesn't really add to the film, so there's really no reason for it to be part of the it in the first place.

If you are a veteran truth seeker, like I am, you will find a numerous amount of clips and interviews taken from other previously released documentaries; Since this film targets the main public, this is not bad, but at least for me it felt like there was a lot of copy/paste material.

Another thing that slightly bothered me is that a big part of the film is very focused on Greer himself. I got the feeling that it should be called "Greer the movie" instead of Sirius. I know, he deserves recognition, but I think the overall result would be better if they had focused on the real information, not in Greer's life story and drama.

Regarding the title, Sirius, I felt like it has got a bit meaningless, since there's no reference to Sirius or the Canis Major constellation in the movie whatsoever. So, why name it Sirius?

As a side note, and I know this is controversial, I didn't like David Wilcock being part of the documentary. First, because his presence was not really needed; He spoke about issues that any other person could talk about, not about his personal research data. He didn't bring nothing special to the table. Second, because his credibility is highly compromised by now, after his miserably failed "ascension" predictions both in the Y2K and 2012. He doesn't add to the film at all, but obviously opens space for skepticism.

Another thing that's worthy of notice, is that many of the alleged free energy devices videos showed in the documentary were already and repeatedly debunked.

Finally, the "alien" body examination, which seemed to be the major card in this movie, was highly inconclusive. After all the DNA analysis, they have concluded that the DNA is human, although leaving margin for some unanswered questions regarding his genetic characteristics. They end up saying that it may be a deformed human, or it may be an alien...In other words; not even close to "groundbreaking" as promised in the overly exaggerated marketing campaign.

Regarding other previous Greer's productions, The Disclosure Project wins hands down. I still consider it to be the apex of his career.

Personally, I didn't have higher expectations regarding this documentary, so I was not disappointed. I know how marketing works so I don't fall for marketing hypes. However, for those who were expecting groundbreaking news from this movie, I would say it totally fails to deliver.

Overall, this documentary falls into a gray category. It doesn't offer complete enough information to convince skeptics and the average public about the existence of intelligent Alien life, nor it brings new information to veteran truth seekers and independent thinkers.

A Brilliant and Revolutionary Documentary (for those with the ears to hear...)
"This is down the rabbit hole, fast. But that is the situation, my friends, when you're dealing with secrecy that is criminal and illegal".

  • Steven Greer in 'Sirius'

It goes without saying that the entire spectrum of subjects dealt with in this documentary are extremely controversial. Subjects ranging from the reality of an advanced intelligence visiting Earth throughout history - having escalated their presence since the first detonations of atomic bombs and the subsequent proliferation of nuclear weapons worldwide since the 1940s - to the reality of covert military operations and top secret technologies that are created using an advanced physics that is currently not taught (or even known about or acknowledged) in the mainstream scientific/academic establishment.

This story, or compilation of stories, is as explosive as it gets. It is almost literally earth-shaking. Is it any wonder why many people, who have been taught in the mainstream scientific establishment, would be completely offended upon being suddenly confronted with this? The truth will set you free, but first it will p*** you off! Many sceptical people who are unfamiliar with this subject material will find it overwhelmingly challenging to their world-view. But their limited world-view is exactly what needs to change and is precisely what is wrong with the world as we have witnessed it in the past few decades. Western materialistic science does not have all of the answers - yet! But let's listen with an open mind to the many brave government and military witnesses and whistle-blowers assembled in 'Sirius' to broaden our scientific and technological horizons. We absolutely do have the solutions to the majority of our world's problems at our disposal, but it is an issue of geopolitical leadership and public awareness to deal with these very serious and profoundly urgent issues. It is entirely okay to be sceptical, but if it gets to the point of being irrational, then that scepticism only serves to cast further chaos and confusion on a topic that is already riddled with enigmas and disinformation.

Many groundbreaking scientific discoveries have occurred over the past century, and this new documentary 'Sirius' does a brilliant job at showcasing the scientists, their ideas and their technologies, and just how and why these discoveries have been suppressed by very powerful interest groups. From Nikola Tesla to T. Townsend Brown to Thomas Henry Moray to Stanley Meyer. It is well-documented that Tesla's funders cut him off after he proposed his radical idea of generating wireless electricity towers in the EARLY 1900s! His scientific discoveries have benefited all of mankind, he was not crazy and he had solid plans on how this "free energy" could work over a hundred years ago. The man died penniless and many of his private notes were taken shortly after his death. Similar stories, but much more dramatic, have continued on since that time, and include deliberate confiscation of these types of threatening technologies, including an automatic blacklisting at the patent office if any technology is classified as "over-unity" and in violation of the Second Law of Thermodynamics. It has gone so far as to include several cases of mysterious deaths (obvious murders) of new energy scientists. If you don't think that the Military Industrial Complex and its ties to enormously wealthy corporations, including all of the major players in banking and Big Oil, have the power to squash anyone that might try to upset their nuclear applecart on steroids, then you are sadly misinformed and naive. But that is not to say that We the People cannot gather together and fight back - we can and we are!!

The entire Occupy Movement of recent times has brought to the world's attention the problem of "the 1%" owning and controlling all of the wealth and power in the world. As highlighted in this revolutionary documentary - and by numerous other reputable sources - Bank of America, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase & CitiBank are the richest companies and groups of people who own and run the Federal Reserve, and who are also in control of the biggest oil corporations in the world: Exxon, Chevron, Shell & BP. Now if an alternative source of energy production could be generated out of a new physics, something beyond the Second Law of Thermodynamics, that could provide the world with a clean and cheap renewable source of energy to power our homes and cars and businesses, what do you think that would do to the geopolitical domination that the aforementioned banks and corporations have on the entire planet? And how far do you think "they" can and will and have gone to make sure they keep their power and control?

Operating in secrecy is unfortunately the most dangerous way to go about this task, and it is absolutely no joke when it is stated at the beginning of 'Sirius' that Dr. Steven Greer has a "Dead Man's Trigger" strategy in place, similar to Julian Assange and that of WikiLeaks. A cache of explosive and damaging information accumulated over the course of networking with military insiders that includes names and addresses and project names of the very people and companies involved with the clandestine and illegal operations we are talking about. Much of this information has already been released to the Congress and the general public in the form of transcribed and videotaped witness testimony that is available online. The documentary itself is based on Steven Greer's memoir 'Hidden Truth - Forbidden Knowledge'. If people could fully comprehend what this man has achieved, he would win something far more profound than the Nobel Peace Prize!

On behalf of all of humanity, I thank Dr. Steven Greer, The Disclosure Project and Amardeep Kaleka for their immense efforts. 'Sirius' is a very serious and important achievement and I highly recommend watching it (with an open mind).

Awful and an insult to anyone objectively seeking the truth...
occamsrazor3016 July 2013
I am undecided about weather we have ever been visited by extraterrestrials. Without hard evidence I lean toward NO. However, I do not discount strange phenomena in the skies. There are reputable people who have attested to this and documentaries that are extremely convincing. Most ufo sightings are a hoax or have some other reasonable explanation. There are a few though that defy conventional wisdom. The nutjob says they are space aliens and then contrives a whole network of lies and half truths to support his delusions. The objective seeker continues his search for hard evidence.

This documentary has zero hard evidence. In fact, it is the worst UFO documentary I have yet to come across. In the very opening they use the most obvious fake UFO sighting in recent years to build up the documentaries proof. You will remember this as the jerusalem UFO sighting. It is an admitted hoax. There are far better documentaries on this subject. Almost none of them are objective. They all come at you from a believers point of view, but at least they are compelling and often convincing. Avoid this sloppy propaganda infomercial attempt. When are these idiot going to learn that you cannot get away with this in the information age. If you must watch then download it from a torrent site.

The Greatest Documentary Who Many Will Miss Out On
black_strings028 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I'll start off by saying, I was a little disappointed reading the other reviews who gave the movie really bad scores. I'm guessing it's because they thought the film was going to promise them something, but it didn't and they got disappointed, or they completely missed the message.

I'll be honest this movie is not meant for people without an open mind or should I say, "not ready" for certain issues, but it's alright, because extreme issues are not meant to be easily understood and readily accepted by the public, if it were, then talking about UFO and ETs would not be such controversial topics.

Also, if you fall in the category of being those who have not done their homework enough to pick up a little of the truth, on UFO, Aliens, Dr. Greer, or is still unsure whether or not these things exist, well, this movie will be hard to believe, or more like bogus to you. No, shall I say all of it will bogus. So then you may ask, what's the point of watching then? well, either skip the movie or watch this movie for fun instead, I'm sure you'll get great laughs out of it -- because one of the fundamental topics are on UFO and ETs.

However, for the people and reviewers who keep saying this film was funded by the people and therefore should be free for the people, it's rather a naive question to ask if you understand how business works because here's no way around it. In Dr. Greer's opinion, yes it should be free, however when he has to work with film producers, we all know that money is no question needed to run these movie business. No one work on a painstakingly long documentary video, release it in theaters, promote hundreds of ads, and say I'll do it all for free? It's a no brainer. There is nothing Greer can do about it making this video free, unless he was skilled enough to filmed everything himself and paid for all the expenses. Besides, Greer doesn't get any money out of this film, all the money will be going toward building the laboratories.

Now for those who can carry an open mind, considering the extreme topics that will be discuss in this video... well be warned, because you are about to learn what many would call the "TRUTH" (or however you want to call it) if not already, and in many ways that would be hard to comprehend. This movie is not meant to convince or make you believe UFO or Aliens exist. It goes by far beyond these topics touching base on our energy systems and a quick introduction to the industrial military complex.

All I have to say is, keep an open mind, watch this movie, and when the time comes you'll be thankful for all those people who've been ridiculed and have risked their lives so many times over trying to reveal the truth and change our world for the better. Lastly, the story in this very video can relate back to a time when people said the earth was flat or the sun revolved around the earth.

He is touting around an aborted fetus and calling it an alien for f--- sake!! Keep your money people...and stop contributing to this idiot's retirement fund!!

A horrifying truth to us all, we should fear that there is consistent bullying/stereotyping in a supposed "land of the free"
elilairengill20 July 2014
I hope you can open your mind while you read this. Carefully think about all your doubts to this and to what created that doubt in the first place. Is it your opinion?

Listen. Is it YOURS?

Or did you read about it in newspaper? Magazine? Watched it on the "news"?? These are the people who are trying to help us. You say our world is crumbling because of the president and the wars. Those are completely irrelevant to your daily life. How about the fact that there is a US CODE 35 which can be looked up on Cornell's Law website, that states the U.S gov't can intercept any patent in which it has interest and to classify it as secret. Where would they get their money, if we had renewable energy?

It is a critical point in our humanity that we get past our ego's and our schema's. All the stereotypes you have been brainwashed with, get rid of them. Meditate, you think you lack something in life? It is not found in the warmth of a BMW's hand warming steering wheel, but; as for ME, I have found awe, comfort, and content while looking up at a beautiful meteor shower display.

Oh, and I'm taking a screen shot of this, just in case it doesn't make "the cut" for your review list.Thank you for your time and consideration.

Very Respectfully, Elilai Rengiil elilai8rengill@gmail.com

Disjointed presentations of utter nonsense from a con artist
stephanebeauregard11 July 2015
Utter nonsense. Don't bother watching this movie. "Dr." Green is either completely deluded or is a con artist praying on gullible people.

At 28:36, we get a glimpse of the US Air Force's infamous "Flying Saucer" on the screen behind "Dr." Greer. He is saying something about a secret technology (anti-gravity?!) that has been hidden from the public for decades. The implication is that the "Flying Saucer" is part of this cover up ... I know for a fact that is complete crap. The Flying Saucer was powered by a gas turbine, was hopelessly unstable and never got more than a few feet off the ground while still tethered.

After I saw those shots, I bailed ...

Awesome Movie!
zachm199626 April 2013
I have been a supporter of Greer's initiative and decided to buy the movie. I don't regret it at all. Most are complaining about how it "cost money" or "should be free". The information is free but this is a documentary made with a person who makes documentaries for money! $10 for a rent or $20 for DVD isn't much to ask for. I really enjoyed the movie and it is filled with factual information that I won't ever regret learning.

If you are interested in UFO phenomena or just a person who would like to learn about it, this is a great film. I am going to get my family to watch it and hopefully change their perspective on things. I also don't think the other ratings of the movie are fair, they are only complaining about how it costs money and not actually how good the movie was.

"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" (Carl Sagan)
marylh-4810229 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
However there is no extraordinary proof offered for any of Steven Greer's extraordinary claims. He is a pompous windbag who has designated himself the "earth ambassador" to the alleged "alien races" that are visiting this earth.

He claims to have debriefed CIA/presidents around the globe/royalty/NSA etc but there is no evidence of this, and in fact CIA Director Woolsey issued a letter emphatically denying any debriefing. This letter is easily read online. Furthermore the "alien" mummified child Greer claims to have in his possession has been DNA tested by Garry Nolan, director of stem cell biology at Stanford University's School of Medicine in California, and is not "ET in origin" at all. Further information online reveals the "mummy" could have been a conjoined twin or a severely deformed baby and is human.

Greer rehashes other Ufologists' claims including soundbites and small excerpts of interviews with astronauts, pilots and some military personnel that have been seen many times before in other documentaries and are nothing new. Whilst I have no doubt that astronauts and high-ranking military personnel believe that what they saw was extraterrestrial, there is still no empirical evidence, forensic evidence or study by independent scientists who are neutral on the subject and can take part in scholarly peer reviews. Greer offers none.

Greer can allegedly summon UFO's and ET's in his mind and can teach you how to do it too (for a fee). Yet he doesn't have a single shred of REAL proof? There is a photo of something he alleges was some sort of ET but it turned out to be a common woodland moth. Greer makes extraordinary claims but offers NO extraordinary evidence. In fact, Greer's movie just makes it easier to debunk Ufology and place it firmly into the category of "junk" science.

Shining Light Where Many Do Not Dare Look
lainvisiblecollege6 December 2019
Do not let the cover image turn you off you. As far as 'well put together documentaries' go ( I would know, I critique for a living ) this is a high quality watch.

Also, this is F R E E on y o u t u b e. It's covers multiple layers of a topic which although not mainstream now, will be for your children and theirs.

This documentary covers a topic that will be a new cornerstone in the way we view the Cosmos. Highly recommended investment in time regardless of your world view currently. Peace

Warning: Spoilers
Sirius is a Documentary about Steve Greer trying to get the government to disclose there files on alien life and he has some type of small alien mummy....I think. I saw this movie on Netflix and I'm truly glad I didn't waste money on this film. It supposed to raise compelling questions for the U.S. government to address but what ends up happening is Steve Greer walks around for the entire running time. There are some interesting things in this film that are interesting however its all presented in an uninteresting way that make you want to take a nap and wake up in time to see the credits. If you like uninspired lame documentaries then this movies for you!!

Amazing and eye opening!
jabcross1223 June 2013
It is a must watch and you must follow up by watching the military testimony's on youtube under 'Disclosure Project'. Dr Steven Greer is a very articulate speaker and the message overall is positive and enlightening.

It makes you feel quite silly that the ufo topic has become so ridiculed that we have been conditioned to ignore the ongoing witness testimony and evidence. This documentary started an adventure for me over the past 3 weeks and the more I look the more I cant believe also how little freedom we have over what we have the right to see. I found out that the government are responsible for the highest rate of youtube forced removal of videos in guess what topic...(ufo's) ITS TIME TO DISCLOSE PEOPLE!!!

watch it with a big group of friends and family.

Wait, this is supposed to be a serious documentary?
ssinai9 July 2015
I saw this on Netflix. Really rather dull, and I ended up watching it over the course of several days because I couldn't sit through more than 30 minutes at a time before my eyes started to glaze over.

At first I thought it was going to be an entertaining, fake science-fiction documentary about how we had been visited by aliens. There was certainly nothing entertaining about it, and it wasn't until about 2/3 of the way through that I realized that the people making the film were actually serious.

Far too much new age, incoherent, conspiracy theory stuff. The Discovery Channel documentaries about the existence of Atlantis are more convincing.

A compelling, somewhat clumsy stab at the truth
scouturi25 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This film is catching massive amounts of flack across the internet, with the common claim being that it is solely a vehicle for the monstrous ego of Dr. Steven Greer. The 'alien' body has been debunked as human, and conspiracy theorists are skewering it for containing little to no new information. However, they are missing the fundamental point of Sirius: this is a film for the general masses on an incredibly unorthodox subject.

The documentary opens in a fashion that seems geared towards yielding itself up for ridicule. Steven Greer is presented as a tireless fighter for truth in the midst of the most substantial lie ever perpetrated. He speaks openly about the vast conspiracy wreathing the human race, and strives to shear away the faintest doubt of the existence of aliens, instead taking their presence as solid fact. The beginning of the film shows him secluded in the desert with other seekers intent on summoning UFOs with the power of meditative projection. Opening the film with this sequence does present a stumbling block to the average viewer, as it delves into the spiritual aspect of contact before revealing the subsequent hour and a half of witness testimony, information on alternative energy sources, and the analysis of the Atacama humanoid. Why it was chosen to present up-front the aspect of Greer's research most likely to draw skepticism is baffling, and it does hinder the progression of the film, especially to skeptical minds. However, this sequence is accompanied with numerous images of UFOs summoned by the meditative process, including an incident where the resultant craft is hounded by a military jet. The videos are beautiful and intensely compelling.

The film also deals with the breakdown of the military industrial complex, which it does with aplomb. Greer is quick to point out the vested interest of oil companies in sculpting reality, and his revelations of the interconnectedness between Big Oil and Big Banks are without reproach. Similarly, his explanation of how off-the-books black projects are able to siphon up taxpayer money to support their secret work is succinct.

The free energy segments have been dismissed around the web as pseudo-science, a predictable response. There is a massive resistance in the human psyche to change, especially amongst the hallowed halls of High Science, which is quickly supplanting organized religion as the chief means of restricting minds. The outright dismissal of the claims of the inventors is jarring when one considers the bevy of evidence presented in Sirius concerning various pioneers who, over the course of the last century, have devised working, testable free energy devices only to be silenced by either death or humiliation, their inventions confiscated by the government or destroyed in strange accidents. Mocking the fringes of science marks the death of scientific inquiry; thankfully, several top geneticists work with the film crew to decode the DNA of the Atacama humanoid, and I can assure you that, despite rampant reports to the contrary, the results of these tests are truly astounding.

Greer has also gathered together a cast of high-level witnesses to UFOs, exposing the web of secrecy surrounding what we are encouraged by the dominate culture to dismiss as hoaxes, hallucinations, or balls of extremely hyper swamp gas. Again, conspiracy theorists are complaining bitterly about the fact that many of these interviews were available in previous form, but this is a documentary made for the largely uninitiated mind. If you've spent your life digging through leaked government documents and watching every single scrap of UFO-related media, you will probably be unsurprised by what you find here. However, I found the witness testimonies to be riveting; these people are adamant in their claims, and I see no reason to disbelieve them. Amidst all the scorn directed at Dr. Steven Greer, one must remember that he has been working towards disclosure for twenty years, over which time he has gathered together hundreds of incredibly high-level witnesses that support his claims. This is not a mere isolated crackpot bent on gathering a cult of personality.

Finally, on to the alien body itself. Greer does go out of his way to refer to the body as alien in origin, and the film was presented as containing irrefutable proof via DNA testing of the existence of ETs. Taking this into consideration, I understand why the revelation that the body is to some degree human would cause great consternation and dismissal of the project as a fraud, but it isn't that simple. The body does contain human DNA, but does NOT suffer from any of the genetic disorders commonly associated with its deformations. The being lived to at least be six years of age, which considering its 6-inch size is phenomenal in its own right. As for the humanness of the specimen, the geneticist speaks about a large amount of 'junk' DNA that his analytical programs disregarded in seeking the creature's classification. He ultimately refuses to state the absolute nature of the body, ending his report by saying that, "I'd like to say more, but I'm worried about opening myself up to attack." He is currently combing through the extraneous DNA for further clues as to the body's origin and species, and is looking to publish a comprehensive paper on the subject. As such, internet-wide dismissals of the body as 'simply human' are incorrect, and betray the shocking dualism of widespread/mainstream thought. There are subtleties to the creature's DNA that need to be further explored, and thankfully it seems that this research is under way.

In all, Sirius is a somewhat clumsily made product that nonetheless collates a massive amount of revolutionary information. Those inclined to mock Dr. Steven Greer will find ample cause; however, one of the greatest tools of mental control is convincing the masses to mock baldfaced revelation. The rigidity of modern thought has certainly been on display in the mass response to this film, which I can assure the potential viewer is worth thorough viewing.

How to seek the truth which is not in the interests, of the most powerful
numedeuser8 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I do not believe in aliens visiting earth, as i do not believe in other fictional characters that millions of people are praying and bow at, but that doesn't mean i do not respect their point of view as long as it is not used to do harm and material gain.

About the free energy device...There are a lot of powerful people, corporations and groups that benefit from NOT EXISTING a free energy device. If they are capable of creating(if not at least by occlusion) the reasons, and starting wars for the NON FREE energy(ex. petrol), do you think they will just stay relaxed and do nothing, while other are about to create something, which will get the actual rich and powerful earn a lot lot less money...you cannot be that naive...

Anyway, thanks to all the people who brings more light in how the gigantic military(but not only) complex works. When they militarily attack some country, regardless of the real reasons (could be one or more: gaining natural --and in most cases limited-- resources, just using the armament payed from the tax payers money ,destroying some very successful contender business, forcing the occupied people to pay only them for different services like constructions and other things which the military have just destroyed), there are always a FEW people, corporations and groups which are getting richer and powerful in the process. Of course the main benefit will not have some worker on the armament ,construction, bank(which have just loaned money to that poor country with the most interest possible), oil corporations, BUT THE OWNERS OF THESE BUSINESSES. Nowadays, to convince the American people that a lot of the tax payers money have to go into these few peoples pockets, they have to create a reasonable "story", which may involve even a few collateral casualties of their own people. But for these "black programs" that devour large amounts of the tax payers money, apparently they doesn't even have to bother to create some believable story...--these are just off the books-- much more easy to spend the money for OTHER INTERESTS than of the most Americans.

Less of a Documentary, More the Story of a Personal Quest
makschultz12 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I did not know about the crowd-funding for this film. It is definitely a shame that so many people who "backed" this project are bitter about the outcome and have given the documentary bad ratings. I don't understand why people are so surprised when they have to pay a small amount for a worthwhile cause that they wanted to promote in the first place.

When I first saw the film listed on Netflix, I thought it might be like one of those "found footage" type fake documentaries because the premise seemed so outlandish. After reading a little more I realized that this was meant to be a serious documentary so I watched it. I think the real subject is Dr. Greer himself and his quest and not whether we have been visited by UFOs/aliens. There was an emotional undercurrent running throughout the film that may have turned off some viewers expecting cold, hard facts. But the "human" element in this documentary attracted me to it. There is such a glut of info out there on the subject of UFOs, much of it contradictory. Trying to pull it together and have it make sense for an hour and a half film would only result in a confusing, superficial mess. Each one of Dr. Greer's informants/collaborators could themselves be the subjects of a full length documentary, not to mention the tiny alien mummy.

That leads to my one criticism of the film: The 6-inch alien, initially presented as the focus of the documentary, was actually peripheral to the main subject of the film. I think this probably should not have been included and instead be made the subject of its own full length documentary. The doctor doing the DNA testing did not conclusively say that this creature was human. What he did say was that the mitochondrial DNA (from the mother) was human. The rest of the DNA was unusual and did not account for any of the strange features of the being including the elongated cranium, the facial structure, the number of ribs and the extremely small stature. He said he was going to continue to study it. He also admitted that there were other things he wanted to say but couldn't for fear that he would be laughed at by his colleagues. More reason to believe that there is something very unusual in the makeup of the little creature.

This film didn't claim to answer all the unanswered questions on the subject of UFOs but instead focused on Dr. Greer and his efforts to create a dialog with extraterrestrial beings and his attempt to enlighten those in the government about the cover-ups, secrecy, misinformation, and murders perpetrated by unknown persons who operate outside of any known organization. His methods are grounded in Eastern philosophy and Buddhism and combine the spiritual with the scientific. That in itself would probably make some people uncomfortable with the documentary and the information presented. We have been taught to believe that science and spirituality are diametrically opposed. Science is objective and based on observation and data while spirituality is subjective, faith based and therefore flawed. It reminds me of how Star Trek's Mr. Spock relied entirely on science and logic. Time and again, humans proved to him that faith and "feelings" have a part to play in every equation.
