Stewie and Brian seek the meaning of Snowbird
Sleepin_Dragon10 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Stewie forms a fascination for Anne Murray and converts Brian into a fan, the two travel to Anne's house intent on discovering the true meaning to the snowbird song. Meanwhile, Chris is bullied for wearing cheap trainers and pinches money from Lois's purse, unfortunately for him, Meg sees him and blackmails him, Chris runs away, moving in with Herbert.

I love the Anne Murray part of the story, she's a good sport, allowing herself to be mocked (A Canadian instead of a Brit to cop it this week.) I think I'd agree in part with the other reviewer who points out that Herbert works better as an incidental character, rather then a main one.

The Stewie and Brian part is great, the Chris side of the story isn't the best, there are enough laughs though, 7/10

Family Guy Chris Cross

Warning: Spoilers
The episode split into a Chris story and another adventure of Stewie with Brian. The Chris storyline involving Megan was an OK plot but my problem was showing the character of Herbert in a main storyline as he is a character that works better for one liners rather then being focused on. The better part of the episode was Stewie and Brian's part as they grew an appreciation of Anne Murray and her music which involves the two both singing the songs and having their talk about the music and lyrics. Bringing in the real Anne Murray and seeing how Stewie reacts to learning she is a fake and then ending the plot with a gun and Anne with Stewie singing some of her songs. Not much to talk about the episode with one great funny story and another average one with Peter not really being involved in any of them.

EPISODE GRADE: B- (MVP: Seth Green)

I really need to stop rewatching episodes this late in the series

Warning: Spoilers
This is only the 2nd time I've seen this episode I think.

I don't know Anne Murray's songs...but way too much of her songs.

And Herbert...I guess I agree with another reviewer. It's good as one off here and there...one liners. But yeah, not something that is good for longer in depth stories. He kind of got on my nerves.

Was funny idea for Stewie to get upset that Ann Murray didn't write her own stuff.

The Chris/Meg stuff was...blah boring and forgettable.

3 good parts were Peter talking to Demone from Fast Times, Georgia O'Keefe and a great nonsensical pop in by Mayor West. More of that stuff.

The episode as a whole.... not 1 2 3 or 10 9 8 7 6.

4 or 5. Def a 4.

Some clever jokes

Some clever jokes. I've been going backwards from the 2021 season and this one stood out in a good way.
