Sofia Boutella, who plays Kora in Zack Snyder's sci-fi universe, teased her character’s romance in Netflix’s Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver.
While not received well, the first Rebel Moon still has plenty of fans, all of whom are patiently waiting to see what happens next for all the characters involved.

There is no argument in admitting how the Halo franchise has one of the largest fan bases across the globe when it comes to video games. The series and its characters have managed to have a huge impact on not only who experienced the game, but the gaming industry as a whole.
The main protagonist of the game, Master Chief, is an icon not only in the game’s fan base but the pop and entertainment culture as a whole. Unfortunately, many often forget the existence of one soldier, who was considered to be deadlier than Master Chief himself and paved the path for humanity to continue living till his very last breath.

As Elden Ring fans eagerly await the release of the highly anticipated Shadow of the Erdtree Dlc, many have been wondering exactly how difficult the content of the game could be.
Are we facing another Malenia-type boss? Or will Miyazaki take pity and give us something like the Mist Noble from Sekiro? Well, we won’t have to wonder much longer as Miyazaki has shed light on the Dlc’s difficulty level—let’s just say, you should probably sharpen your skills.
The Elden Ring Dlc Will Challenge Players
The Elden Ring Dlc will showcase the hallmark difficulty of the base game.
In a recent interview with IGN, Miyazaki dove into the intricate balance of difficulty, especially catering to both hardcore and casual players. Responding to the question about the challenges of creating content for seasoned Elden Ring players, he explains:
Our general approach to difficulty has of course not changed to Elden Ring.

Around 300 Canadian union members held a rally Friday outside the Toronto offices of Amazon and Apple to support the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild of America strikes stateside.
“The challenges we’re facing are the same ones Actra is facing now. It’s a battle against corporate greed and an economic system that rewards corporate leaders for cutting costs, wreaking havoc on our communities and destroying the livelihoods of countless hard-working individuals,” Law and Order: Svu alum and SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles vp Michelle Hurd told the Toronto rally organized by Actra, the Canadian actors union representing around 28,000 performers countrywide, except in British Columbia.
SAG-AFTRA has been on strike since July 14, and the Writers Guild of America began its labor action May 2. Also attending the Toronto rally was NCIS actor Lauren Holly, who is both an Actra and SAG-AFTRA card holder and who touted the need for unity among North American unions.

Netflix’s first batch of official photos from Zack Snyder’s science fiction epic Rebel Moon shows off the film’s key players. Inspired by Akira Kurosawa 1954 film Seven Samurai, Rebel Moon takes place in a distant part of the galaxy and follows Kora, a mysterious woman (played by Sofia Boutella) who’s tasked with saving a peaceful colony from being wiped out by an invading force.
The cast of the two-part epic includes Ed Skrein as Admiral Atticus Noble, a nefarious Imperium enforcer; Charlie Hunnam as Kai, a mercenary pilot whose Tawau-Class freighter will prove invaluable to Kora’s quest; Michiel Huisman as Gunnar, a Veldt farmer who knows little of the galaxy outside of his small, quiet corner of the galaxy; and Djimon Hounsou as General Titus, a hardened gladiator who once served the Imperium.

Last week President Trump went back to an often-used excuse he deploys when facing backlash for saying dumb things: sarcasm. But Trump historically has run into problems while attempting to bail himself out of trouble with the word, thanks to his inconsistency in using it correctly and how obvious and transparent it is that he’s lying.
On Sunday, Trump lashed out at the media on Twitter, incorrectly writing that journalists who reported on the Russia investigation should be stripped of their “Noble Prizes.” Twitter did what Twitter does and...

It was a light morning for President Donald Trump. There were church services at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City and a birthday shout-out to First Lady Melania Trump.
It is unclear if there will be a White House pandemic task force briefing today. So far, none is on the agenda, not surprising after the recent volatile sessions and President Trump’s declaration that he’ll be cutting back.

A quiet night at home turns into a frightening game of cat-and-mouse in the official trailer for IFC Midnight’s Intruder. Also in today’s Horror Highlights: a trailer and release details for the John Bradley-starring film Traders, teaser videos and release information for The Dooms Chapel Horror, and the cover art and details for the first issue of Dark Horse’s Rise of the Black Flame comic book series.
Watch the Trailer for Intruder: “A young woman’s quiet night in becomes a free-fall into fear in this disturbing home invasion thriller. After she lands her dream job, a young cellist (Louise Linton) settles in for a relaxing few days holed up in her apartment but as a violent storm rages outside, she can’t shake the feeling that someone is watching her every move. Cleverly toying with the rules of suspense, director Travis Z wrings maximum terror from everyone’s worst nightmare: you may not be alone.”

Traders Trailer, Poster, and Release Details: Press Release: “Desperate times call for desperate measures, but the scheme at the center of Traders may be the most desperate of all. The twist-filled suspense drama in which young men risk their lives to get ahead stars John Bradley (Samwell from Game of Thrones) and Killian Scott. Traders will be available on Digital Platforms and Cable VOD on July 11, 2016.
Jobs are gone. Homes are being repossessed. Suicide rates are soaring. But newly unemployed Vernon Stynes (John Bradley, Game of Thrones) might have the solution to the despair brought on by recession. He masterminds a diabolical, all-or-nothing plan he calls Trading. Through an underground online network of similarly displaced individuals, two people agree to “trade” by emptying their bank accounts, selling everything they own and putting the cash in nondescript green bags. They then travel to a remote location, dig a grave and fight to the death. Winner buries the loser and takes the two bags.
Then you find someone else and do it again, and again, and again, until you are rich enough or dead, whichever comes first. Like Vernon, Harry Fox (Killian Scott, Calvary, Love/Hate) has lost his job and his dignity. What else has he got to lose? Why not become a Trader? But when Trading becomes an alarmingly popular underground phenomenon, Vernon becomes a participant in the very game he created. Featuring an exciting young cast and sure to appeal to fans of such classics as Shallow Grave and Fight Club, Traders is a daring and troubling look at the depths to which ordinary people can be driven.

Rise of the Black Flame #1 (of 5) Release Details & Cover Art: “Press Release: “Milwaukie, Or— This September, legendary Hellboy creator Mike Mignola,iZOMBIE co-creator Chris Roberson, Criminal Macabre and 30 Days of Night artist Christopher Mitten, award winning colorist Dave Stewart and cover artist Laurence Campbell will present Rise Of The Black Flame. This five issue miniseries from Dark Horse Comics will present a dark horror story about an ancient, evil power. In Rise Of The Black Flame, young girls are going missing from the cities of Siam, and the trail leads to the jungle hideout of a bloodthirsty cult– the Cult of the Black Flame.
“There have been several villains in Hellboy’s world who’ve been called the Black Flame, and the striking visual of a skeleton burning with dark flames is pretty hard to beat,” said co-writer Chris Roberson. “In Rise Of The Black Flame, we reveal that before there was a man called the Black Flame, there was an ancient cult hidden deep in the jungles of Southeast Asia known by that name. We plumb the depths of cruelty and ruthlessness that groups of people are capable of reaching, and explore how this cult which reaches back to prehistoric times is connected to the most dangerous villain in the history of the Hellboy books.”
“After all these years it’s still so exciting to find new corners (or in this case a giant shadowy, uncharted abyss of horror) of the Hellboy world left to explore,” said Mike Mignola.
In addition to Rise Of The Black Flame, Roberson and Mignola will be co-writing Hellboy & The Bprd: 1954 and Witchfinder: City Of The Dead. Rise Of The Black Flame will mark the Mignolaverse debut of artist Christopher Mitten.
“It is tremendous fun–and a little surreal–to be given the chance to dive into this fantastic universe,” said Christopher Mitten. “Mike and Chris (with whom I’ve long wanted to work) have concocted a fantastic story, and then there’s Dave Stewart…I mean, Knowing Dave would be coloring and then actually Seeing his artistry in action are two wholly different things. Getting a chance to dip my toe into this expansive world has made me want to dig in and explore more of it, to go off into little corners and find what strangeness, what beauty, lurks there.”

Rise Of The Black Flame #1 (of 5) goes on sale from Dark Horse Comics on September 7. Preorder your copy today at your local comic shop!”

The acting is impressive in this real-life tale of an Irish charity worker but its uncritical portrayal leaves you wondering whether it tells the whole story
This biopic unfolds the story of the philanthropist Christina Noble, who started a foundation in her own name to help impoverished and at risk children in Vietnam and Mongolia. Three actors (Gloria Cramer Curtis for the child, Sarah Greene for the teen and Deirdre O’Kane for the matriarch) play Noble as she endures a traumatic 1940s urban Irish childhood (early dying mum, alcoholic dad, abuse, homelessness) before a dream sends her to south-east Asia to help kids.

The problem with inspirational biopics is keeping the person at the center of the story relatable and realistic rather than deifying them. Christina Noble's story is eminently — almost heartbreakingly — grounded, and the aptly titled Noble is that much more powerful for it. Growing up poor in 1950s Dublin, Christina (Gloria Cramer Curtis) is sent to an orphanage at age ten following the death of her consumptive mother (Derbhle Crotty) and abandonment by her worthless drunk of a father (Game of Thrones' Liam Cunningham). And then things get (more) unpleasant: Cruel nuns, sexual assault, and an abusive husband follow, driving Christina, improbably, to Vietnam, where she would eventually establish a foundation to help orphaned children. Noble...

Marvel's Agents of Shield returns at 9/8c on Tuesday 23 September 2014 in the Us, and hopefully soon after in the UK. For fans of the first season, it's highly anticipated, particularly in terms of how the show will continue the gripping storylines established in the later part of the first season. So if you haven't seen the first season yet, be aware that spoilers follow.
Some of the show's marketing for Season 2 has been in the form of character posters, featuring each character's face along with “What will [he or she] become?”, and then telling us that we can find out on Tuesday 23 September.
Presumably this doesn't mean that the conclusion of each character's arc will be more or less instantaneous, happening simply in that one episode, but rather that, starting from the Season 2 premiere, these long-term character arcs that we've been following so closely will continue to unfurl.

Day Two at the Port Townsend Film Festival heralded the arrival of legendary independent filmmaker, John Sayles. Screening his Academy Award-nominated film, Lone Star, Sayles comes armed with many stories of horror and inspiration from the indie frontlines. He notes that current “filmmaking has democratized incredibly,” becoming a land of opportunity for young (read: resource poor) filmmakers.
Several features made their debut, including, Noble, the real-life story of the slightly-crazy, Christina Noble. Writer-director, Stephen Bradley, gives us a fictionalized account of Noble’s courageous quest to help the street children of Vietnam. Also premiering was director, Yorgos Tsemberopoulos’ troubling meditation on vengeance, The Enemy Within. Incorporating current social themes in Athens, Greece, this film asks that age-old cinematic question, “How far would you go to protect your home and family?”
Part history lesson, part Ecology 101, Return of the River is an uplifting documentary about how hope and perseverance can sometimes undo past wrongdoings.

From a rough childhood growing up in Dublin, Christina Noble true calling in life came in 1989, when she travelled to Vietnam to care for the country's abused children, leading her to set up the Christina Noble Children's Foundation. To this day, she is a noted children's rights campaigner and charity worker. All this is explored in Noble, with Cramer Curtis, Sarah Greene, and, most prominently, Deidre O'Kane playing her at the key stages of her life. Switching back and forth between her childhood, which brings in the three pillars of patented Irish misery on film (a drunken father, poverty, and the nuns) but thankfully doesn't hammer you over the head with it (well, not too much), and her ongoing quest to help the poor and sick children of Vietnam, you cotton onto the movies narrative structure pretty early on, each flashback treated as almost an episode to punctuate or elaborate what has come before it.

Another Galway Film Fleadh came and went over the weekend, and the festival's big award, Best Irish Film, was actually shared between two films: Gerard Barrett's Pilgrim Hill follow-up Glassland, a tale of a young man trying to save his mother from addiction, starring Jack Reynor and Will Poulter, and Terry McMahon's (Charlie Casanova) Patrick's Day, about a schizophrenic named Patrick who finds a connection with a depressed woman on St. Patrick's Day. Both films received a great reaction at the festival, and are well deserving of the award. Noble, biopic of Christina Noble (Deirdre O'Kane) whose charity work lead to the creation of an international organisation which helps oppressed and marginalised children around the world, came in second to the pair. The best documentary award was also shared between One Million Dubliners, an examination of the history of Glasnevin cemetery, and Blood Fruit, telling the story of...
