Fun Lego game with an original story
darkpeasent27 March 2021
It's not a perfect game, or anything amazing, but it's a really fun game. I was surprised that it was an original and not a retelling of another story, the story itself isn't anything amazing, it's still a lego game, and it's still made for kids, but if you just wanna have some fun playing a lego game, I would recommend it for you.

Another solid Lego Game
fitzgerald-284-31348324 November 2013
This one isn't perfect, but it's pretty good. My biggest issue is the lack of clear direction while roaming NYC once you complete the core mission. Lots to do, but it can be frustrating finding things to do. It's also geared to Iron Man and others than can fly with a lot of missions and goodies only being available to those who can get to the top of the many skyscrapers on the map. I guess this lends itself to the team concept of the game, but it leaves you out if you are trying to do everything with, say Wolverine, or Deadpool. The game play is tight and the super heroes have diverse fun powers, so one you figure out the mission is a blast. The gold standard for Lego games seems to be "Star Wars: The Complete Saga." and that was because the missions were clear and the "home" hub was familiar. This game does that with the HeliCarrier, but it can still be confusing as to what the next mission may be. Overall it's a nine out of ten. I little bit better direction around the city would give it a point to be a 10.

Platinum #56
ocesarebr2 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Without a doubt, it's 100% the most fun open-world Lego game to play, at least of the Legos I've ever played. On the other hand, I find the story mode stages the most boring to play on the first playthrough, I think they are very long, the attraction of Legos games has always been the free room, completing 100% of the open world and not giving so much detail to the main stages. In story mode. Obviously this isn't the first time I've platinum this game, it's 100% very enjoyable to play, what bothers me are the large main stages and some side missions. A tip is if you're close to 100% but can't find anything else on the map, first check if you've bought all the cars/planes/boats. To buy cars, they are obviously on the sidewalks. To buy planes they are on "roofs" and to buy boats they are close to the rivers. And if you bought everything and still something is missing for 100%. Try to clear the entire map, especially the parts of Rio, as there is a mega hidden character (Taskmaster or Trainer for us in Brazil) Platinum #56 Platinum Game on February 1, 2024.

Building fun step-by-step
tonybaiden30 November 2013
I love Lego and Marvel, and if you add the two together, you end up with brick-smashing awesomeness. I wasn't particularly keen on Lego's previous superhero game, Batman 2: DC Superheroes, but I had a lot of faith in this game due to the incredible roster of characters, the immense scale of the hub and the epic story built with action and comedy. I also enjoyed the Lego Lord of the Rings, and Lego City Undercover so Lego games had regained my faith. The detail put into characters such as Iron Man and the Avengers, Spider-Man, Wolverine and the X-men and so many more famous comic book heroes and villains was awesome. They nailed the behaviour of the characters, actions, looks, all perfect. The game also has great voice acting like Nolan North as Deadpool, who is as funny as ever, alongside more great voice actors like Adrian Pasdar, Clark Gregg, Laura Bailey, Roger Craig Smith, Steve Blum, Travis Willingham and so many more great voices. This game proved Deadpool didn't need explicit content to be Deadpool, but most probably the best character is the one, the only, Stan Lee. Lego Marvel is a creative, hilarious and action-packed game with so many surprises in store. Perfect for any True Believer. 10/10.

"Lego Marvel Super Heroes" (2013) marks TT Games' entry into the Marvel universe with Lego's signature approach. This game maintains the successful formula, combining action, puzzles and humor, while offering a captivating experience for Marvel fans. The engaging plot, which pits Marvel heroes against the villain Loki, is full of references and comedic moments. The impressive number of playable characters, each with unique abilities, contributes to the diversity of the gameplay. Exploring the open world of Manhattan adds an additional dimension to the narrative. The simple and accessible gameplay, characteristic of the Lego series, makes the game suitable for players of all ages. The graphics maintain the colorful and fun aesthetic associated with Lego games, while the Lego details are expertly integrated into the Marvel universe. The soundtrack is memorableand complements the game's laid-back atmosphere well. In short, "Lego Marvel Super Heroes" is a solid entry in the Lego series, providing a fun and respectful experience to the vast Marvel universe. A Buggy Mess worse than that of a Bethesda game
thomasnov3 November 2018
When I first got this game I loved it, I had very little faults with the game and had an overall enjoyable time.

But after returning 5 years later to get the platinum trophy on the PS4 I've come to realise how much of a buggy mess this game is. With somehow being able to collect the same mini kits pushing me other the mini kit completion with many levels, many characters missing from the map preventing me from 100% the game (like the ghost rider missions which are missing preventing me to get Spiderman F.F. and Mr Fantastic F.F.) and various other bugs that can completely ruin any enjoyment.

By far the worst Lego game I've ever played which saddens me greatly to say.
