Venom 3 finally hit the screens a little over a week ago after a much-anticipated wait, and the hype surrounding it is still as high as ever. In a final mysterious run of events, both Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and his beloved symbiote are compelled to make a devastating decision after being on the run from an uncanny military man and alien monsters from Venom’s home world.

Plus, as much as this film spun as the final one in Hardy’s anti-hero trilogy as Brock, it also introduced fans to a base-level acknowledgment of Knull, one of the biggest baddies in the Marvel comics. But that didn’t lessen the piece’s vulnerability, as it was met with mixed reviews — praising one from general fans and brutally panned ones from critics — ceasing to amuse most critics.

Sk Global, the production company behind “Crazy Rich Asians” and “Anyone But You,” has been impacted by layoffs, an insider with knowledge tells TheWrap.
Roughly 20 employees were affected across multiple departments, according to Deadline, which first reported the news.
In the face of significant industry changes over the past few years, including structural changes in the market and how media is developed, distributed and consumed, Sk Global had to carefully assess how they are operating the company for their continued growth and success, the insider noted.
As a business, Sk Global remains dedicated to creating premium content with cultural impact, and all of their business lines and current and upcoming productions will remain on track as they implement these changes, the insider said.
The production company was previously known as Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and was primarily known for bankrolling prestige dramas “Hell or High Water” and “The Place Beyond the Pines.

Lana Condor hinted during the press tour of her popular romance film To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before that she and co-star Noah Centineo felt sparks between them when they met on set but chose to be professionals and did not date each other. Their chemistry in the film seemed to be great anyway, so fans believed the story.
However, the real reason for them not getting together despite their obvious chemistry might not be what Condor claimed. The actress is currently married to musician Anthony De La Torre and claimed on several occasions that they began dating after meeting at the 2015 Emmys, a full three years before To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before released.

Sony Pictures' Madame Web managed to assemble an impressive cast of already established stars and young up-and-coming actresses to play the lead roles... which may have been somewhat baffling to anyone who watched the movie.
We have heard that the movie turned out to be very different to the one the cast signed on to appear in, with a reworked (and inferior) script and a rushed production resulting in the disjointed mess that went on to bomb at the box office and earn an abysmal 11% on Rotten Tomatoes.
It's entirely possible that the cast simply didn't realize what they were getting themselves into (nobody sets out to make a bad movie... which can be hard to believe sometimes), but a new report claims that Sydney Sweeney may have had her own reasons for agreeing to make the film.

Sydney Sweeney gained fame for her roles in HBO’s Euphoria (2019–present) and The White Lotus (2021), earning two Primetime Emmy nominations. In 2023, she played Reality Winner in the film Reality and starred in the hit romantic comedy Anyone But You.
In 2024, she appeared in the superhero film Madame Web and both produced and starred in the horror movie Immaculate.
Madame Web was poorly received by critics and flopped at the box office, earning only $100.5 million worldwide against an $80 million budget. In contrast, Anyone But You grossed $120 million more than Madame Web.
According to THR, a source claims that Sydney Sweeney accepted a supporting role in Madame Web to help get Anyone But You greenlit. “She wanted to show she was committed to the team,” said the source from Sony Pictures. Despite Madame Web‘s poor performance, Sweeney still earned $750,000.

One surprise hit movie can still supercharge an actor’s trajectory.
In December 2023, Sydney Sweeney starred with Glen Powell in Anyone But You, Sony Pictures’ romantic comedy that became an unabashed box office success, making $220 million on a budget of $25 million. Sweeney’s fee for the movie was $2 million for the film.
Less than a year later, in October, Sweeney nabbed a $7.5 million payday to star in The Housemaid, a Lionsgate thriller that will also star Amanda Seyfried and be directed by Paul Feig, multiple sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
It’s a notable jump that is not too common in modern Hollywood, where big hits tend to come from franchise plays and, A-list actors aside, pay jumps come in pre-negotiated increments. But Sweeney has become one of the most in-demand actresses, and has capitalized by lining up a savvy range of movies, including a boxing biopic and a Hollywood...

Glen Powell is aptly one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood today. While his debut came way back in Spy Kids in 2003, the 35-year-old has seen multiple successful roles come his way in the last few years. Now looking forward to the release of Twisters, Powell has appeared in movies such as Anyone But You and Top Gun: Maverick, and generally finds himself in high demand.
However, that did not seem true to the actor when during his years of struggle. Powell went to his fair share of failed auditions but has never been the kind of person who would take things negatively. The actor has been utterly professional right from the start, and spent years getting rejected for a plethora of major roles.

Colman Domingo is set to make his feature directorial debut with “Scandalous,” a period drama about the 1950s romance between movie star Kim Novak and singer Sammy Davis Jr., and the bigoted scrutiny that the pair faced once their relationship came to light. Sydney Sweeney and David Jonsson are in talks to play the two leads.
Miramax is working to fast track the project, which remains in early stages of development. Producers have hopes to shoot next year after Domingo and Sweeney have finished filming the third season of HBO’s “Euphoria.”
As it went, Novak and Davis first connected when they both appeared as guests on “The Steve Allen Show” in 1956. The two continued to meet, with Davis making visits to the set of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo” during the next year. They met again at a Thanksgiving charity ball in California, which led to the pair spending the holidays together.

Much the way she did with the sleeper hit Anyone But You, Sweeney was very active in putting this one together and she will be a producer along with Tani Cohen and Bobby Roth, with Jon Levin exec producing. Matthew Fantaci wrote the script.
Before he became Miramax CEO, Jon Glickman originated the project at Panoramic, and remained high on it. Novak, star of Vertigo and Rat Pack member Davis Jr were at the peak...

Sydney Sweeney has become known for her bombshell looks and, despite Madame Web's failings earlier this year, hits like Anyone But You and Immaculate have made her one of Hollywood's most bankable young stars.
Now, Sweeney has showcased her physical transformation to play legendary boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming untitled biopic.
After paparazzi photos of the actor were circulated on social media, Sweeney took to Instagram (via TheRingReport.com) to confirm she's playing Martin in a movie being directed by David Michod.
For those of you who aren't aware, Martin competed between 1989 and 2012 and was crowned world champion in the super welterweight class in 2009. SAG-AFTRA has produced three advocacy videos putting a spotlight on the challenges disabled actors face in pursuing and auditioning for jobs in the entertainment industry. The videos were produced as part of the union’s “Inclusion: Time to Get Real” campaign launched in connection with National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
The goal is to demonstrate how people with disabilities are underrepresented in TV and film, and when they are on screen, they are often misrepresented. In 2022, people with disabilities accounted for 8.8% of screen time, but those with visible disabilities made up only 0.4%, according to a Nielsen study.
“People with disabilities are America’s largest minority, representing nearly 26 percent of the nation’s population. Yet disabled performers are not afforded equal opportunities in entertainment and media and remain among the least represented in the industry,” said Christine Bruno, chair of the National Performers with Disabilities Committee, which steered the campaign.

Germany’s box-office takings in the first nine months of 2024 are down 16% year-on-year to €559m, according to provisional figures from Comscore.
Around 57 million cinema tickets - a decrease of 14.5% on the same period in 2023 - were sold between January 2 and October 2, which makes it unlikely it will reach the target of 90 million admissions for the year by the end of December.
Warner Bros had been the market leader in the first half of 2024 thanks to the performance of Dune - Part Two, but Disney has since overtaken with a nine- month total box office total of €117m and 11.85 million admissions.

Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney has gained massive success ever since the HBO series premiered. The actress had been consistent in the industry, working for a decade and a half before landing her most popular role as Cassie.
Ever since then, the actress appeared in multiple projects and has successfully established her name in Hollywood. However, even after achieving the success most people her age could only dream of, Sweeney did not feel secure. The Anyone but You lead came from a financially challenged background which made her hyper-aware of the instability of her current status.

Sydney Sweeney is speaking out about some of the hardships she’s experienced in her skyrocket to fame.
Interviewing with Glamour in a “Women of the Year” cover story published Thursday, the “Euphoria” and “Anyone but You” producer and star revealed that particularly aggressive paparazzi have harassed her to the point of stalking her home and refusing to leave unless she posed for them in a bikini.
She recalled the recent incident happening outside her new Florida home, where photographers began yelling at her visiting family.
“They said, ‘If you tell her to just come outside in a bikini, I’ll take pictures and then I’ll leave you alone,’” she said. She also responded critically to social media users who accused her of calling the paparazzi on herself for the publicity, as some celebrities are known to do.

Season 10 of Chicago Med introduced a few new faces to the show’s ever-changing cast including actor Darren Barnet, who has joined the show as pediatric resident Dr. John Frost.
Right out of the gate, fans fell in love with Med’s new addition who made his debut fighting to help get his young patient the care she needed as his hospital prepared to close down. In just one episode, Dr. Frost quickly won over the fans, though we’re not surprised at all given the character is played by actor Darren Barnet, who exudes charisma and brings a likability to every character he plays.
So it’s no surprise that Chicago Med fans have quickly been won over and are eager to check out Barnet’s past roles! While Chicago Med marks his first series regular role on a broadcast drama, Barnet is no stranger to the industry and...
