Pretty Funny So Far and Certainly Shows Potential
ShaftAlmighty7 May 2013
Though only a pilot, the characters are pretty easy to identify and separate. Right from the start, i'm reminded of It's Always Sunny In Philidelphia for whatever reason, possibly because both seem to stem from the same vein of humor.

There really wasn't a moment where it became tedious, though it was pretty simplistic(but again, this is just the pilot). This is diffidently a show i sincerely hope gets picked up. The acting and playing off each others characters were good and one can easily see where it could get even better if given the chance.

I gave it a 7 because there was only one simple plot occurring and not enough sight gags(though that is just my gripe for a pilot). Absolutely worth seeing. Compared to some of the cookie-cutter, copy-paste sitcoms that get renewed, Those Who Can't is such a welcome change. Arrested is gone and Always Sunny might not be back after next year. Something has to carry the mantle.

Simply Hilarious

I have watched three of the pilots for the new Amazon series. Two of the series, to be blunt, sucked. This one was fantastic. It was quick and witty. They did a great job of setting up the characters and their attitudes. In the first episode it exploited many of the quirks that the characters have so that you feel like you already know them. Also it did a great job of showing how the characters connect (which the other to series did not). The characters seemed to already have inside jokes that you were cued in on so you felt like you knew what was already going on. I truly hope that this one last longer than just one episode because I am already attached to it.

AMAZING!!! With different flavor.

Well, my wife and I loved it. Its a new flavor to comedy. Funny thing is it brought me back when I was a high school student observing our teachers. It is a Pilot for "Fargen" loud. My wife enjoyed it without the gravitated attention to the immaturity. Guess she has a funny bone. I am almost certain that they will have a more elaborate story and fluidity of the characters when the show airs. I totally disagree with the bias sexist remark that "smart-assed male high school students" probably came up with this. Might be right, but who really cares? Where is the constructive criticism? But there always has to be a villain or pessimist in the bunch. I have plenty of friends who became teachers who share such stories and worse. Maybe you should be cast into the show as the pessimist teacher who complains about what is wrong with everything and blaming the male population for your misfortunes, then gets fired because she lacks depth, flexibility, and the intestinal fortitude to handle "male" humor ."Now, build a comedy around THAT character!!!!" We love this show( my wife and I) because it brings back the funny moments growing up in public schools. There is an elaborated and exaggerate truth to what goes on in this show but, it has me the fan thinking and relating to just about every moment. I feel the characters and relate well. their twisted side to the truth is nothing short of brilliant and to the true nature of what schools have in comedic material. BAM! Anyway... this show deserves a chance to thrive before passing more judgment on its trial clips.

MV- Salute, and out.

Gross Humor For Males Who Never Grew Up Nor Want To
Where to begin? It seems to be written by smart-assed male high school students with all sorts of authority problems. Since when is simulated male to male anal sex funny? Sexual humor is such a cop-out. There is so much going on in the public schools to parody and pillory, a truly talented writer wouldn't have to resort to adolescent sexual humor.

I've given it a "3" rather than an "awful" only because there is only one character that comes anywhere near funny and that is the school principal. I'm a former teacher and I recognize that character! He's a composite of the worst of public school administrators! The only way a person can rise above classroom teacher in the public schools is by being a major wimp, to bend to whatever politically correct wind happens to be blowing, no matter the source.

Now, build a comedy around THAT character and cut out all the adolescent male sexual humor and you'd have a great show!
