It has high production values, an unapologetically physical reward challenge right off the bat, an exciting (and also physical) immunity challenge, a promising cast on both tribes (even with some very questionable choices), lots of chaotic scrambling, and a first tribal where the unthinkable (and somewhat inexplicable) happens. *** out of 4.

Survivor She Annoys Me Greatly

Warning: Spoilers
After such a strong season in the Philippines I was excited to see what the show would do with Fans .vs. Favourites for the second time with contestants such as Philip (Redemption Island) and John Cochran (South Pacific) coming back to play. Even though I do not remember her I felt sorry for Francesca to be eliminated first for the second time. The episode was like most premiere's as we got to know most of the characters with most time spent on the returning players as they went to tribal after losing the elimination challenge. The new players did not make much of an impression on me because it was mostly the blonde girls with the young guys and all the other players on the outside. I was bored while watching the new players but it was fun to see the returning players even though some like Corinne and Malcolm not getting much time over Francesca and Philip who of course had a rivalry. Excited to have the show back but nothing special in the first episode to talk about. The quote of the episode coming from Philip seemed quite obvious because of what he has always thought of her.
