Excellent "Prequel" filling in an important part of the Universe

Totally worth the time investment!

Having not read the Manga's a key part of the backstory that is alluded to in Bakemonogatari is explained.

Growing the characters and flushing out a relationship that on the surface seems simple but in the end has surprisingly complexity and Depth I was very satisfied at the end, wanting to see how the "world" will continue to expand and the ultimate fate of these two damaged "heros".

Interesting but rushed

Again as the first two parts the story it's engaging, the characters are really enjoyable to watch and all that stuff

To begin Nekomonogatari it's placed before Bake and Nise

It's really enjoyable and explores a bit more my favorite character(so far) of the monogatari series

But the phasing it's weird and it's feels weird in some moments but not a bad mini series tho.

A heartbreaking prequel to the Monogatari series

This is the story of Hanekawa Tsubasa, a friend of Araragi's (his only friend before Bakemonogatari). The story of her family life and her inner conflicts is something that we all experience, but something about it makes Hanekawa special (supernaturally, of course). Nekomonogatari Kuro explains her motives in Bake and concludes in the Nekomonogatari Shiro arc, which takes place in Monogatari Season 2. Her story is so heartbreaking, and this series is a must for anyone watching the Monogatari series. Hanekawa's tragedy plays out through Monogatari and this little spinoff explains it all.

Favorite Episode: Tsubasa Family, Part 4

Here we finally learned the full tragedy of Hanekawa. The soundtrack is spotify-level and this arc filled in the gaps of the Hanekawa arc in Bakemonogatari. Araragi is still a dunce for not even thinking Hanekawa could harbor feelings for him but this is one of the better entries of the Monogatari series.
