nice

adaptation of a nice novel, it is good travel in the XIX century Russian universe. tradition, love story, adventures, tension, beautiful images, not bad acting, seductive script, romance and air of soap-opera, each is perfect excuse to see it and, maybe, if the passion for Russian civilization or the charm of Alex Vorobev are deep, to love it. picture of a world, image of rules and gestures, it is one of films with not great ambitions but interesting as seductive ingredients of a Sunday afternoon. sure, it is not exactly Russia but it is a pink Russian story. and it is enough for many expectations in which clichés are not really just a word. music, atmosphere, costumes, characters are pieces of a nice show who presents, in delicate nuances, a culture, a novel, a space.

a trip

It remains a series who I love. For acting, for air of a sort of XIX Russian century, for social aspects in the light of early Realism, for landscapes and embroidery of destinies. The Russia from old lectures. Care for details, nice crafted dialogues, some adventures and twists, good ob of Alex Vorobel as version of Julien Sorel and fair atmosphere.

In essence, a charming trip, with few intense emotions like many other contemporary Russian movies.
