I watched the entire series and found it quite enjoyable. Yes, there's a few times where you have to suspend disbelief but the story pace and mystery keeps you watching. I found one unanswered plot element but I may need to rewatch to see if I missed it. The characters were great overall. Some were not given enough depth but I think that was on purpose and it did not keep me from enjoying the series. It's a mix of caper-whodunnit with some comedic elements and female heroics.

Enjoyed it very much

Loved all the characters and the actors who played them. loved the line "You've got that Kill Bill thing going on" (Jane to Linda) Held my interest. Nice break from all the dark, heavy murder mysteries I tend to gravitate toward. 👍👍
A bit of everything

I found this show on amazon prime. I started to watch it and nearly gave up after the first episode, then when the story line of the series started to be explained I started to look forward to watching it. I find the characters fun to watch although some of them are over the top. I hope amazon adds more seasons as they be ome available.
Great series

Fun series

I came across this by accident and thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't understand the negative reviews some people gave it. If you're looking for a fast slam bang series this isn't it, but the characters are fun. It's not typical Hollywood dreck, it's different, occasionally funny sometimes frustrating and overall a good watch.
Enjoyed watching, best episodes not the main plot ones

The most enjoyable episodes were the ones where the focus was not on the girl who had died, but where they were trying to help someone solve their problem. Reminded me of my favorite episodes of Burn Notice, without the comic edge. I liked the characters, but they didn't have a ton of depth. Very serious all the time. Overall plot felt too predictable.
Ordinary people, extraordinary drive

... when there's little else to stream

... a mediocre enough production to watch solely because of the two main lead actors Marshall & Prebble... otherwise the script is the culprit.. never rising above fairly bland-uninteresting definitely-not-requiring thirteen episodes... culminating with an ending doing little to satisfy viewers... overall viewer-reviews-ratings being very kind.
An engaging comedy drama

Reluctant to watch in the beginning thinking it was a girlie show, but very quickly got caught up in what turned out to be a highly entertaining comedy drama.
The main characters were excellent while the primary plot held my attention like any good whodunnit. I was kept guessing right up to the final episode.
I enjoyed how new sub-plots were introduced and resolved.
My only disappointment is that there's just one season with these really fun actors working together.

Warning: Spoilers
For the reviewer who whinged about the "unpleasantness" of Aussie Dramas, stating they would stick to watching "witty kiwi adventures"...the joke's on you: this IS a kiwi adventure! (I cringed while reading that, lol...SMH).
I found it an enjoyable experience, and a definite escape from the dreadful rubbish HollyWeird spews out. Almost a "role-reversal" in character for Antonia Prebble (Jane) and Siobhan Marshall (Linda) from their roles in Outrageous Fortune: Siobahn's Pascalle in OF was the naive, yet cautious one, wanting to believe in the goodness of everyone, while Antonia's Loretta was the hard, jaded, chronically untrusting, guarded one, suspicious of everyone...the opposite seems true here, for Linda and Jane.
The mystery factor adds to the overall plot (Who killed Rose and why? What is really going at Mosley's? How much of a baddie is Peterson, and can he be stopped? As each new character is introduced, we wonder if they contributed to the corruption - and ultimately, Rose's death). As another reviewer mentioned, a sort of Burn Notice "light" without a Michael Westen protagonist, but rather, a seemingly mismatched team - The Blue Roses - without Michael's (or Fiona's) physical "warrior" skills, and a series-long arc rather than a "client of the week" format. The team takes up minor "causes" to assist the underdog, however. The first series ends on not so much of a cliffhanger, but leads us to believe another series was possible, with a whole new mystery to solve with the Roses leading the charge. Alas, it was not renewed, so we will never get to see.
Again, overall, I found it worth a watch and binged during a long weekend. To each their own...for those who didn't get into it, no worries...it's your prerogative not to watch. YMMV.

Not very good!

I came across this on Acorn TV and started to watch it. I could only manage to make it to episode 3 before I gave up. It's a "Thelma and Louise" makeover, with two mismatched female characters playing the leads. The plot is very complicated, and requires long explanations to fully explain what is happening, as well as the roles of all who are involved. Some of the characters just seem to be in the plot to fill spaces but their roles in the plot are never really developed. The characters are two dimensional, flat, and just not funny. I guess this was produced for the local sitcom market in New Zealand but I doubt it would be appealing to a wider, more global audience.
Disappointing

Unpleasant Australian drama with unpleasant characters
msghall12 November 2021
Not sure why so many Australian dramas have such disagreeable characters, yelling and insulting each other. It's an unpleasant, trying experience hampered by weak acting and an even weaker script. Think I'll stick to the much more fun, witty Kiwi adventures when streaming.
this is not the worse I've seen but.... Unwatchable.

I tried to watch, hoping it would get more interesting. It didn't. It is deathly dull. Absolutely no interest. Someone killed her friend, working temp in the office her dead friend worked, tries to solve it.
I kept falling asleep, or did my brain just go numb. I've seen worse, but found it unwatchable. Paint drying, with nails on a blackboard. ouch!
In case you don't know- blue and purple roses don't happen naturally. The tile "the blue rose" comes from a tattoo. It says a true blue rose doesn't exist. It was developed 2004 from a genetically modified white rose. I see blue and purple roses, and a certain orchid, that was white, is now in blue and purple.
