Melancholy. One wouldn't normally use that word to describe an American Dad! episode, but given the main storyline, wherein we discover Stan never had a best friendship like Steve's and Snot's, and, in the course of trying to drive a wedge between said BFFs, he gets a taste of what might have been but was never meant to be, we can't help but feel the tug of Stan's and indeed our own heartstrings, especially in the final touching scene, set against a beautiful, rueful 1980s electric guitar instrumental (which, Google tells me, is Always With Me, Always With You by Joe Satriani), which serves as a fitting tribute to Steve and Snot's friendship, and indeed to BFFs everywhere.

While I was flying to Denver I got pretty bored, so I went to DISH Online to kill some time and found this episode. I truly believe that this was the most hilarious episode I have ever seen. After Stan catches his son and Snot in spandex air-guitaring like pros he decided that snot is not cool enough to hang out with Steve. The only solution left is for him to drive a wedge between them the CIA way; with lies and deceit. The side story this week is almost as hilarious as the main plot. Jeff needs some financial help, so Roger is kind enough to let him clean the attic for some cash. Unfortunately for Jeff, Roger is also evil enough to promptly steal it back. Some of the guys in my office at DISH said that the plot was lacking a certain amount of absurdness, but if you are anything like me then I know that your sides are going to hurt by the end.
