Wow!

This is awesome.

We get Darth Maul and Savage Oppress AND Death Watch Mandalorians in incredible action!

The lightsaber duels and other action is top standard epic level and the characters, concepts and design is super cool.

The animation is unbelievably good and the action is as thrilling as you could wish.

The storyline is brilliant and links in to earlier and later lore.

Perfection.

My rating: 10/10.

A good follow up!
A_Voice4 December 2013
A good followup to the previous episode, it is as gripping as the previous episode. It also has some good action scenes and a cool duel.

The story continues as death watch take control over Mandalore. The old scheme of staging a rescue operation from self inflicted devastation is used. It moves at a faster pace than it should but is enjoyable at the same time.

One more thing, I think the Jedi fortune cookie should have read "Alliance may stall true intentions" rather than Alliance can Stall true intentions", as the "can" statement seems a bit negative. Just an insignificant opinion though. The pace could have been a little slower.

Direction: Good.

Script/Screenplay: Good.

Music: Great.

All in all a great episode.

Deep arc

Warning: Spoilers
I loved this episode. It was great. I mean there were cool lightsaber duels but it was more than that. Mandalorians are traditional people and Bo-Katan feels that "outsiders" cannot rule Mandalore. Pre Vizla restores the people's faith in the death watch and their violent methods.

Loved it!

Excellent

First off, I wanna say Sam Witwer is excellent as Maul. I love hearing that voice and he adds a lot of weight to this episode, especially in the last scene. I also loved the addition to Bo-Katan.

This was a very solid episode. I loved all of the fighting and action. I also really like the episodes where the "bad guys" are the protagonists. One of the very best episodes in this season.

Rulers need to care about crime and gas prices

Warning: Spoilers
Much ink has been spilled about about the awesome action and spectacle of this arc, and it's well deserved. The character work is also spectacular. The uneasy alliance between Maul and Viszla reaches its boiling point in this episode, and it's a sight to behold.

There's one other interesting aspect of it all that I'd like to dissect, and it has to do with how Pre Viszla takes over initially. He does so by having crime lords run amok so that he can save the day.

Voters care about crime. Satine and her pacifism might be all fine and good when there are no high crime rates or xenophobic terrorist militias to worry about. But when the going gets tough, when stuff hits the fan, the average civilian wants the trains to run on time. They care much about how the trains run on time, and they don't care about how the sausage gets made. If a strongman, authoritarian figure is enough to end the perception of threats to your livelihood, then your citizens will embrace you for that. Satine didn't have a centralized authority she could use to deter and/or stop crime. It was only a matter of time before someone would end up taking advantage of that for their own ends.
