A Very Sweet Simpsons,
lesleyharris309 May 2013
To Cur With Love is a brilliant Simpsons episode with a lot of very funny scenes and also a lot of heart.I found the whole story of Homer's dog Bongo very sweet and heartwarming, and it was a nice thing to add to he history of these characters.the episode was both a very funny and very sweet episode that took me back to episodes like the first episode,Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire and The Canine Mutiny.

When Santas Little Helper goes missing, the family are curious as to why he shows no care, and has never really showed much love for the family dog.Grampa tells the family a story of Homers dog when he was a kid,Bongo, who was his best friend.

Warning: Spoilers
The people of Springfield present inventions for a prize in excellence from Mr. Burns. After some failed attempts the true inventor shows a car that is powered by sound from people. When the car fails it flies into the retirement home meaning that Abe will have to live with his family. Homer has hurt his back and is at home playing a virtual game. He makes an old time town and gets addicted to the game. The family get home and Bary notices that his dog has gone missing. Everyone finds the dog shut in the cabinet. Homer thinks back to how the dog got trapped and that it was his fault. Everyone then shows love to the dog and Homer does not thinking the dog does love him. Abe then brings up the dog that Homer had has a boy which makes him sad. Abe then tells the story of Homer who loved his dog so much they looked out for each other. Then in a flashback we see Burns being bitten by Bongo. Abe continues his story and he tells so much that the family get antsy that they do not have an ending to the story. He then is told that Homer had to say goodbye to his dog and how Homer was devastated. The story makes everyone cry. In the flashback Abe had to take care of Burns dogs for a whole year to make up for not revealing where the dog is. Homer then comes downstairs telling his own story which does not make sense so everyone believes the story of Abe's. Homer then says one other detail that he visited the dog thinking he forgot him but in fact he did still love him. Homer then apologizes to Abe for protecting his dog. They then share a hug after some argument before the love. Very funny and sad one as well learning more about the past of Homer. Also the animation was different and creative.

Worst episode ever

Not one of the best plots. I've enjoyed rewatching a lot of the episodes but this one was really weak.

Another god-awful episode

Just as the fourth episode of this season (the one with grandpa and the black jazz singer lady), this one too is a rambling, unfunny, incoherent mess. The writers, directors and producers have no clue of how to make a decent Simpsons episode here once again. Not a single laugh here.
