Not bad. Has the awkward situations you'd expect.

Good episode. Unless you're a super sensitive, triggered by anything, wants to make a joke a problem that it really isn't (reviewer Soltye) you'll enjoy this show, along with others like South Park and other such adult animated comedies.

Bob's Burgers The Unbearable Like-Likeness of Gene

Warning: Spoilers
The kids go to school where Gene impresses some girls with his farting. Gretchen comes by the restaurant flaunting her new body after losing some weight. At lunch Gene is told someone likes him but it is up to Tina and Louise to find out who likes him. Gene is told that Courtney liked him and agrees to go out with her. Gene may have said yes but he does not really like her because she is strange. Gene said he said yes because he was pressured. Gene then starts his relationship with Courtney even though he does not like her. Bob then has to bring Courtney on his date with Gene telling Gene to break up with Courtney because she is so annoying. Gene practices breaking up with Tina and Louise and after three hours of preparation is ready to break up with her. When he goes to her house he sees that her father writes jingles in the music business. Gene is told while he is dating Courtney he has an all excess pass to gears. Gene does not break up with Courtney because he really likes her dad. Gene comes home saying the whole family has been invited to a party where he will perform a jingle for everyone. Linda finds in hard not to eat and when she smells Tina's hair starts to eat it. The family go to the party where Linda does not eat cake but licks it. Gene performs his song for Courtney and when she starts to sing he screams at her to stop which makes her faint then getting taken away in an ambulance. Gene goes to see Courtney breaking up with her which makes her fake her death. Gene later then sees that his song was used in a commercial. Funny episode I think overall especially with Gene and Courtney.

Uncomfortable A-Plot and Boring B-Plot
landrumzachary28 January 2020
This episode is just uncomfortable to watch because of the one off character they added in this episode, Courtney. I know her main character trait is that she is obnoxious, which the writers did get that point across in very vivid detail, but it kind of fails because the audience ends up more annoyed than the characters in the show. It should be the other way around to make the comedy surrounding the awkward relationship work. The side plot with Linda isn't really all that interesting, but this episode does still have a few laughs. Overall, not a terrible episode. Just boring and uncomfortable. It would probably only be #10 in my Top 10 Worst Bob's Burgers Episodes list.

ableist and somewhat boring
Soltye5 May 2021
This episode creates a new character for the entire cast to relentlessly hate on, normally thatd be a fun concept to toy around with. What did the writers do with this character? They gave her autistic/ADHD traits and called her annoying. For me this is strike two for this show as theyve been just a little transphobic in the past, and this is only the third season. The b-plot is a little boring but it does highlight a little about the insecurities women have with being slim.
