Into the hills (cue the Deliverance jokes)

After a brief detour, the hunt is back on for Drew Thompson, the man who shot Theo Tonin and made off with his pile of cocaine thirty years prior. And man, does this get off to a hell of a start. 'Kin" drags back a number of characters who've been dormant for a while, all of them cogs in this very active machine. And it's not just Drew that's keeping things moving; the trainwreck that is Colton Rhodes is still tracking the escaped Ellen May, and that situation's just worsening by the minute.

This is a very fluid episode that ably juggles all airborne balls and even deepens the histories of Bo and Arlo (they had to gain power somehow). Taut and well-constructed all the way.

Justified Kin

Colt cannot find Ellen May and even after looking at a video tape can only come to a conclusion the police could be involved. Raylan must go with Winona to the baby checkup but as usual he is called away to deal with his dad coming into the station. Agent Jeremy's case files are taken to deal with Arlow. Raylan comes in finding out Arlow wants to make a deal for the location of the alive Drew Thompson in return for his freedom. Then it is up to Raylan to find Drew. Jeremy meets with his client Nicky Augestine (Mike O'Malley) and Nicky does not seem happy by Jeremy and shoots him in the head. Wynn Duffy comes by the bar after the meeting with Nicky, Boyd is wanted to search for Drew. Raylan goes on the search for Drew which involves going to Josiah Carin (Gerald McRaney). He gets the location might be in the hills which means he must go off searching for Drew. Raylan calls in Tim as backup leaving his car behind and walking in the hills. Raylan goes walking but is stopped by the guys of the hills thrown into a box with Boyd who also went looking for Drew. Colt then arrives as Boyd's backup joining Tim. Raylan nd Boyd try to trick the men of the hills but fail then getting taken off to be killed. They then get stopped by Mary a relative of Raylan who helps save Raylan and Boyd from being killed and sends them on their way to find Drew where ever he is. Ellen May still cannot be found and when Colt try's to ask the sheriff he is told the police saw her get into an 18 wheeler. The truth then is she overhears the betrayal by Ava and Boyd because of what she knows. Boyd pays off the lawyer for getting the deal for Arlow. Josiah has cut off his foot and gotten away because he lied to Raylan. Another episode of Justified I enjoy but once again cannot remember anything unless I wrote these notes. I never that this was the best thing on TV ever.
