Honestly mostly giving this a 10/10 for the eery yet perfectly suited use of O Holy Night in this episode. It was really good too lol but that sent it over the edge

This Season 4 Mid-Season finale is definitely a good one. From Jeremy facing his inner demons to the fun Christmas vibes. This episode brings lots to the table and who could forget those last few moments.

A brilliant episode of TVD!! This mid season finale has a nice Christmas vibe and brings plenty of entertainment. From Jeremy facing his inner demons to the shocking final moments this mid-season finale makes for a great time!

a really good episode fit for holiday viewing

I liked it, it fitted in the Christmas season, it was fun with quite a few fun character interactions, the only downside is with it being a Christmas episode nothing overly big happen but still good entertaining and time worthy episode

Murderous Christmas

Elena and Damon wake up in bed clothed together and Damon says it would have been so much more fun if they were naked. Elena checks her phone after it rings. She needs to get to the lake house. Different motives leads to foiled plans in this episode.

While Bonnie and the professor along with Damon and Elena spend time at the lake house with Jeremy to try to get him to stop thinking murderous thoughts towards Elena, Hayley and Tyler are busy thinking of how to end Klaus.

There is a festive mood in the air due to the town hosting a holiday event with fake snow being blown out. April finds Caroline on the floor of the bathroom without a pulse. Matt says she is wearing Jeremy's vervain bracelet and cannot be compelled. Caroline cannot find April.

The hybrids are all gathered at the woods and Tyler asks when the witch is coming. Hayley admits its all fake - there is no witch. Klaus comes and kills all his hybrids. Tyler goes to the scene devastated. April is seen hiding in the cave and opens the casket to find Rebekah.
