Reagan and Chris go to get holiday cards printed late and the one they end up with does not come out good showing all their flaws. Jean and Terry come in the Brinkley's house singing and delivering mail. The atmosphere is awkward just until they leave. Ava is told she has no money coming in that can pay for what she wants. Ava is told to cut down on buying but she does not seem able to do it. Reagan and Chris read the Christmas letter and feel jealous about what was on it. They still have not done their's but this makes them want to write up theirs for the neighbourhood. Reagan writes the letter and everything is fake but Reagan seems OK with lying. Just as the Brinkley's are about to leave Ava comes with her own problems. Reagan continues to write her newsletter trying to add some more truth. Ava comes by with her new gift getting Scott to listen to it. When Chris and Reagan go out to pee they are stopped by police getting a ticket for public urination. The two fight about the news letter and jobs. Ava sees Scott's gift which is so much better then hers that sucks. When Chris and Reagan go to get snow chains they have to get cash but the chains are then sold. Chris and Reagan end up making up and Chris has to kiss the women in order to get the chain. Reagan and Chris then have to use the detour because of road works but get lost for some time. Reagan and Chris find out that it is Palm Springs they drove to. Scott gives Ava his present to her about things he kept about her her put into a scrapbook. Reagan and Chris come home where Ava is there to present them with some snow. Good episode but Ava seems like a mess since losing her show and nothing she has been seems to work.
