- Dr. Joan Watson: Hey, is that beekeeping equipment?
- Groundskeeper Edison: Yeah. This hive's getting a bit big, I'm gonna have to move it to the other side of the garden. Most groundskeepers would poison the bees, but what can I say? I find them interesting.
- Dr. Joan Watson: There used to be a patient here who was also interested in beekeeping.
- Groundskeeper Edison: Sure! You mean Sherlock.
- Dr. Joan Watson: Yeah. You knew him?
- Groundskeeper Edison: He told me I was the only person in this place without an agenda. I took that to mean he liked me.
- Detective Marcus Bell: So you assault our perp with an orange, and that has you convinced he's innocent?
- Captain Thomas Gregson: [steps in front of Holmes] Listen, I want to tell you that if Wade Crewes is innocent, I'm not going to try to escape the blame.
- Sherlock Holmes: Excuse me, Captain, could you please move?
- Captain Thomas Gregson: [hurt] I'm trying to tell you something important here!
- Sherlock Holmes: Yes well, I wouldn't fall on my sword just yet.
- [snooping in Walsh's basement, Holmes hears something from behind a wall]
- Sherlock Holmes: Identify yourself.
- Katya: [muffled whimpering]
- Sherlock Holmes: [horrified] Oh, my God...
- [He shoves aside the heavy cabinet covering the wall, revealing a padlocked door. Gregson, Bell, and Walsh come running downstairs]
- Captain Thomas Gregson: What the hell are you doing?
- Sherlock Holmes: He lied, when he said that he lived alone!
- [Holmes grabs a wrench, smashes the padlock, and breaks down the door to reveal Katya, cowering on a mattress in her underwear, chained to the pipes]
- Sherlock Holmes: Shh... shh...
- [in Russian]
- Sherlock Holmes: We are police... police... police...
- [He points to Gregson, who hurriedly shows the badge on his belt]
- Sherlock Holmes: Police...
- Captain Thomas Gregson: [re: Walsh] ARREST HIM!
- Victor Nardin: I don't kill those people! Okay?
- [Holmes walks into the interrogation room, holding an orange]
- Sherlock Holmes: Victor Nardin, think fast!
- [He throws it into Nardin's face]
- Detective Marcus Bell: *What* are you doing?
- Sherlock Holmes: This man is innocent. Detective Bell, a word, please?
- Victor Nardin: Why he hit me?
- Detective Marcus Bell: [following Holmes out] Hey, stay right there!
