Another great episode that isn't exactly burned Warning: Spoilers
Burned may not have lived up to the mid-season finale Year's End, but it continues the premise/story really well. It gives some really good character development for Oliver after what happened in episode nine as he tries to get back to fighting other criminals who are trying to destroy Star City and Stephen Amell gives another solid performance.

Everything else is great too. The rest of the acting is great especially John Barrowman who continues to shine as Malcolm Merlyn even in Year's End where he gave out a worthy performance. The writing is still interesting, the pacing is even better, the action continues to be awesome, the music score from Blake Neely is still great, and the production design continues to be well-made as is the Arrow costume which compliments the dark tone really well.

When I review episodes, that review is based entirely on my own personal ideas. Seeing the episodes of any season of any series, I think I write it in the review. I know, maybe in my reviews I often write something bad, like the writers didn't write the story well or the director didn't do well or the actors-actresses over-acted. But I don't use foul language or profanity in my reviews. If I unknowingly hurt someone in my review or if someone feels bad after reading my review, then I sincerely apologize to him.

I thank you for reading my review so patiently.

Burned

Warning: Spoilers
This episode picks up six weeks after the events of the previous episode and doesn't do much to change the status quo.

Oliver's confidence is shaken after his encounter with the Dark Archer and hasn't worn the Hood since then. He doesn't plan to until Laurel contacts him using the phone he gave Quentin in the previous episode, to help her friend investigate the death of her friend's brother in a fire.

Quentin figures out that Laurel took the phone, but decides to use the situation to his advantage.

Moira is still recovering from the fact that Walter got kidnapped and has to step in as CEO of Queen Consolidated.

The flashbacks do not show anything noteworthy except the fact that it looks like Oliver just made his first kill.

Despite this episode being rough around the edges, this has been a good first season of the show so far.

Burned To PERFECTION
THEARROWFLASH19 July 2020
As always, ARROW has easily made the characters that were in the comic books & elevated them to their GREATEST, NUANCED & MOST BRILLIANT PORTRAYALS THERE COULD EVER BE!

Instead of making Firefly just an insane dude with a fire-thrower, ARROW had the balls (as it ALWAYS does) to change the character and make into a such a brilliant, nuanced & sympathetic character that isn't just a one-note "villain".

The action, the plot, the ACTING, the cinematography, etc & the aftermath of he PERFECT MID-SEASON FINALE THAT WAS "Year's End" were all ofcourse, PERFECT! There truly could not have been even the SMALLEST OF CHANGES to make this episode BETTER, BECAUSE YOU CAN'T IMPROVE UPON PERFECTION!

The flashbacks were perfect & that stare from Deathstroke will forever be etched into my brain as one of the most brilliantly terrifying scenes to ever exist! Honestly it was more scary than most of the horror movies to EVER EXIST!

& THE ENDING WAS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL AS WELL!

And as always, watch this PERFECT episode; love it, cherish it, appreciate it's PERFECTION!

Snooze!

You can skip most of this episode. Scenes without the protag are useless. Except for the one scene with his mom and sister. That's a good one. In fact this episode is really good when you skip must of this filler. Problem is it has the filler. And it's boring filler.
