Splitsville (#8.6)

Warning: Spoilers
A good episode. For once I really enjoyed dumb Nick. He was very much a side character and it was first time we really could laugh from this character. Michael Trucco was funny in this role, very different from what I remember him on Battlestar Gallactica, but I am glad there was a break up as I feel this could make the show funner again.

And the break up was great. Loved what Barney was saying and I also think that it was real. Actually now I feel like I want to see him and Robin again. I was all in to Quinn but seeing that scene of Barney and Robin reminded me of their great chemistry and I am not so sad that the marriage with Quinn didn't happen.

Neil Patrick Harris Does It Again
slightlymad2212 February 2015
Neil Patrick Harris knocks it out if the park once again as Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother. He is so good he even makes up for the ridiculously stupid Nick. I hate it when TV shows dumb people down for easy laughs. (see Adam in "Rules Of Engagement")

Plot In A Paragraph: When Robin is hesitant to break up with Nick, Barney takes matters into his own hands. Meanwhile, Lily and Marshall are desperate for some private time.

We now know Barney and Robin get married, it's not to Nora, (the delightful Nazanin Bondiadi) as I'd hoped, or even Quinn (who despite getting Barney to fall in love with her, let her move in with him and propose to her) was in and out of the show in a few episodes. But Robin who he romances in an earlier season, and one or the other had been pining for the other at some point since.

I would award this a 7, but it's getting a bonus point for the scene with Barney in Splitsville
