Makes up for the horrendous "Neighbors" episode..

I think I speak for all New Girl followers when I say that Neighbors was the worst episode in NG history, but this review is not about past mistakes. "Models" was a great episode to remind us of what NG can be. I was rolling on the floor laughing (literally). It was a bit of a hit-and-miss type episode, as many NG episodes are. I was crying from laughter at one point and then the following scene, I thought the joke went on for too long, throwing me out of the experience. Overall, I adored this one. Props to Jake Johnson and Zooey for being the high points. Jess stepping in for CeCe was brilliant. As was Nick's apology, being the best bit, mixing humor with heart as NG does so beautifully. Wholeheartedly recommend!

P.S. If you saw Neighbors, I apologize on behalf of the writing staff, but don't miss this one just because of that one disappointment.)

New Girl Models

Jess comes to celebrate Cece's birthday like they always do but she invites her to go out for Cece's birthday with the other models. Nick thinks about getting a turtle and Schmidt says no giving him a cookie. Before going Jess talks about how the model friends are very annoying. Schmidt gets angry that Nick does not think about him unlike him thinking about him. Jess then makes fun of Cece while Winston says Nick should be thinking about his friends. Cece and Jess then start to start by hitting each other in the breast with Jess having to leave. Schmidt no longer speaks to Nick as he was angry Nick does not care for him. Jess comes in and the atmosphere is awkward and we get to see a flashback to Nick and Schmidt. We also see another flashback to Cece getting discovered and Jess trying to. Jess comes over to apologize but all Cece can do is almost puke which has to make Jess replace Cece at the modeling gig. As Jess try's to do the modeling so looses a show, gets stuck in the car and almost falls over. Nick then gets Schmidt a cookie telling him he cannot love him like he does him. He starts to cry which we never see Nick do. Funny episode but the model stuff is so bad and the roommate is just horrible.
