Dear Diannr,

I have been watching burn notice everyday non-stop for 6 years! think you are ignorantly rude and stupid. Patton Oswald is not to be blamed for the personality of the character. The character Schmidt is the one who is winey and annoying. Not Patton Oswald, the actor. You have absolutely no respect for Burn Notice and are clearly not a devout fan! You are a descrace and people who read this site should not believe you!!!

Good day!!

Patton Oswalt is a great comedic actor

Warning: Spoilers
Unlike one of the other reviewers I love these episodes. My frustration is with his character whining about the consequences of his associations with Michael and company when he really is to blame. Someone also said something about he didn't deserve to lose his business and his home but the simple fact of the matter is they saved his life a minimum of three times the issues with him losing his stuff is that he brought it on himself. I was coming on IMDb to check if anybody reported any blunders. Did anyone else notice Jeffrey Donovan was wearing a wedding ring in the final scene at the cemetery when he picked up the flowers at Nate's grave. This show has been off the air for many years I don't consider anything I'm saying to be spoilers if you haven't watched it already too bad.

Patton the episode killer

I don't know who made the executive decision to cast Patton Oswalt in not one, but three episodes. But whoever it is, should never cast anything again.

We are arriving at the climax of an action-packed, heart-pumping season. And suddenly everything that makes Burn Notice great gets tossed aside so that a guest star can lift his leg all over the show.

Oswalt has all the acting chops of a sixth grader in a Thanksgiving pageant.

Actually, that's probably not fair. Even a sixth grader could turn in a more believable and understated performance than this scenery-chewer.

The beauty of Burn Notice are the plots, the great characters, and the way they can couple humor and action into one show. The supporting cast is, by and large, very good at stepping into the rhythm and dynamic of the show.

Barry the money-launderer, Jason Bly, Sugar, Natalie the thief, Ayn the convict - all of these supporting roles are carried off beautifully and in keeping with the style that makes Burn Notice such great entertainment.

But then along blunders Patton Oswalt who turns in a performance about as nuanced as an audience member pulled up on stage at the Night at the Improv. His ham-handed bluster and endless whining are enough to ruin not just his scenes, but the three episodes he's in.

Burn Notice is one of my favorite shows and I watch the DVDs a couple times a year. But the three episodes featuring this buffoon can only be watched with my finger on the fast-forward button. Which means I tend to get through all three of them in about twelve minutes.

On the plus-side. Now that I've suffered through this guy's clownish "acting" in Burn Notice, I will never waste my time on any TV show or movie that would make the mistake of including him in the cast.

In the end, three episodes that could have each gotten a solid eight or nine stars - thanks to Patton Oswalt - get a whole lot less from me.

I hate the Patton Oswald episodes...
Poppycorn14425 July 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The crew are so rude to him and even though he's annoying he doesn't deserve to lose his business AND home. Also their plans are terrible!

Spoiler- Mike plans on 'making things right' yet forces his mother to destroy the address book she began before she got married; surely he could've stashed it somewhere? Hate, hate, hate!

Seriously, no one is that stupid (Patton Oswalt Character) and even the team is acting like keystone cops. I think the writing started going down hill in season 5 and has declined since.
