When I started watch Defiance I was hopeful, I liked some of the Characters and actors, I don't expect a "Firefly" but I use that as an example where critics and poor ratings just get it wrong, I enjoyed the pilot was pondering the 3rd but after last night's episode well I felt insulted enough to write my 1st review here we go. Within 5 min we are presented with a recreational jogger in a post apocalyptic world who despite living in this environment for 33 years decides to leave the city unarmed and enjoy his fun run in a wasteland inhabited with large predators, hostile aliens and raider all of whom we met in the pilot, seriously are they still handing out Darwin awards by this stage. This episode follows the exact same formula as the previous 2 without expanding on the world in fact it pretty much ignored the 3rd episode where our heroes discovered the underground remains off old Saint Lewis but didn't notice the bug infestation that threatened defiance in this episode really? this ant's nest had thousands of bugs the size of large dogs and no one has noticed them until walking into their nest, Stupid. If this series is going to stand any chance they need to take the kiddy gloves off, treat the audience like we have rational brains and give us something to think about, I really want this series to work otherwise why rate a show, the truth is I've got one more episode left in me at this stage so the challenge is on
