In the wake of the release of the "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer the other day, lots more information about the film has come to light - mostly from its director Bryan Singer through various press outlets. Breaking down the trailer with Empire, Singer touched upon a number of topics. Here's a breakdown:
Apocalypse
Awoken from an extended slumber, the first mutant is keen on destroying and rebuilding a world that has effectively forgotten him. Thus his motivation is that he sees a world of free thought as one that's broken: "It bears no respect or devotion to him – that's the big giant ego of the old God.
