Flawed but relevant

I suppose that someone who is totally ignorant of the tragic history of Central America might find this film to be unintelligible and incomprehensible. However I found it to be absorbing. Those turbulent times produced tragic circumstances that families found themselves caught up in and forced to deal with as best they could. It is not a slick Hollywood production, but then it was never intended to be one.

Not worth watching

I saw the movie in Costa Rica, the story seemed interesting but the director failed to keep the movie interesting, it was messy disorganized and boring, I feel that the movie did not go in the direction where it was easily understood or interesting, the plot was very weak and the ending was bad, bottom line is not worth watching not even in DVD, I saw it because I was curious to see a foreign film but this will not win any awards at all, it was awful say the least, the little girls did some good acting I will give them that. The movie was very basic and it failed to make the point of the film or the story that was told, this seemed more like a reality show than a movie.
