We're people of the heart.

Warning: Spoilers
Once again, another episode not to focus on the big fishes. I love the way it showed Al's love for his son and watching him "fighting with the bullies" was quite emotional even though was violent.

We had Eli in the other hand, who is kind of a forgotten person after his time in jail and in this episode, he showed what he learned of Nucky and even the things not going well, he was smart. We also had an Owen who it's seems out of the line to Nucky but, we finally see him teaching who is the boss after all, although I can't agreed with Nucky's decisions.

And late, we had Luciano going to a meeting with Masseria, and I love both scenes; the one with Lansky and the other with Joey "The Boss". The way that the writers showed the friendship between Lansky and Luciano was amazing, and the way they cared for each other without making a big deal of their origins it's worthy to watch. And then, we had Masseria, who's a Cosa Nostra man, he doesn't want anyone but Italians take care of the business and I had to say, that scene left me without breath, the tension was on point.

+ Margaret scenes were really good ones.

+ The scenes with Rowland.

+ Al with sonny.

+ Al protecting his friend.

+ Problems are coming.

+ Masseria-Luciano meeting.

+ Eli's smart move.

-I need more of Rosetti's craziness.

9.2/10

Fantastic episode for a fantastic series
searchanddestroy-12 March 2016
That probably will the only episode that I will comment on this TV show, because it has been commented yet. This episode is really terrific, especially the Al Capone's character performance. I now the actor, a British one, whose character reminds us Joe Pesci's ones in the Marty Scorcese's features such as GOOD FELLAS and CASINO. A rough, brutal, most violent guy who is so sensitive, so touching with his fragile son and also friend, badly beaten by the Irish gangster in the bar. Watch put this scene when Capone destroys the Irish Hood, look out for this outstanding sequence, where Capone uses this brutal behaviour to get revenge over his son himself beaten by his school comrades... But besides this, I guess that in this kind of TV show, you watch thousand of things that you would never see in movies. The way, for instance, the characters have to come and die so rapidly. You find this only in series. And I love that.

Boardwalk Empire Blue Bell Boy

Warning: Spoilers
In these first couple of episodes Nucky seems to be lost even picking up a mistress on the side. The deaf son is back and his dad wants him to be Tuff again. Nucky comes in with a news headline ripped from the top and makes the decision to sell behind closed door to a client. After Gip pored gasoline on a police officer he has some questions to ask. When someone comes to house it's a kid that Owen beats up. Nucky decides to let the kid go but in come another gang and he, Owen and the kid must hide down below. When someone comes down they are almost found. We also get a big guy beat up in a bar while some of Nucky's liquor gets taken. Back in New York and Lucky's business is going OK. Al asks his son to hit him as he try's to get him tougher as he feels he is too weak. While trying to promote the hospital Margaret runs into someone she knows and meets her husband. Lucky goes to meet with someone and the conversation is half Italian and English talking about who owns what area to sell. Al gets into a bar fight and kills the guy only to leave money bis around the dead body. Finally after what seemed like forever the guys get to leave the basement. The kid seemed to be accepted by Nucky but then he shoot him in the back of the head surprising Owen he did not let him live. Eli try's to worn the guys but they do not listen to him and go straight into the ambush but all we hear is sounds of guns being fired in the background. Al then sings a song to his deaf child which makes for the ending song of the episode which includes shoots of two brothers coming together for mutual cost and Margaret reading the newspaper. Boring episode as these first episodes have been.

EPISODE GRADE: C+ (MVP: Steve Buscemi)
