Lego has proven it can deliver when it comes to animated fare, but what about live-action? Deadline reports that The Lego Group is developing three live-action movies with Universal Pictures and has tapped some major directors to help. Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman), Jake Kasdan (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), and Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) will each direct a Lego movie.

As for the plot of these three movies, they’re under wraps, but I’ll admit that I’m intrigued by what Lego has planned for these live-action projects. Jenkins will direct her project, which she also co-wrote with former DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns and will produce through her Wicious Pictures banner. As for Kasdan, he will direct from a script by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul based on an original idea and a previous draft by Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows. He will also produce with Melvin Mar...

Review: Let’s get one thing out of the way first – Morgan Neville’s Piece by Piece would be a conventional music documentary if not for the central conceit: the whole movie is animated in the style of The Lego Movie. It’s an interesting choice which gives Pharrell’s story a glossy twist and likely opens the film up to a much younger audience that would have initially seen a more conventional hip-hop documentary. Indeed, with its PG rating, this is a family-friendly take on the life of perhaps the most influential music producer of his time, although it can’t help but feel like total hagiography at times, with it free of even a whiff of controversy throughout.

Exclusive: Three-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry has come aboard to write an untitled basketball feature for Disney+ that Golden State Warriors’ 3-point superstar Steph Curry is in talks to produce.

As we told you during Disney Investor Day, Disney+ has a couple of basketball movies with NBA stars, including those based on the lives of NBA stars Giannis Antentokounmpo and Chris Paul. This feature by Henry is completely new.

Henry received three Primetime Outstanding Comedy Series noms for her co-ep work on Black-ish. She is also the EP of Freeform’s spinoff comedy series Grown-ish. Henry is also co-writing with Kenya Barris the new Cheaper by The Dozen movie for Disney+. In October 2018, she signed an overall deal with ABC Studios whose cable/streaming division, ABC Signature, produces Grown-ish.

Prior to Black-ish, Henry served as EP on the long-running comedy series The Game and wrote on multiple studio features.

Josh Hutcherson and Italian thespian Sabrina Impacciatore have joined the cast of the movie adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s “Across the River and Into the Trees,” Variety has learned exclusively.

Production companies Tribune Pictures and The Exchange are in pre-production in Italy. Hutcherson and Impacciatore are joining the previously announced cast of Liev Schreiber, Matilda De Angelis, Laura Morante and Giancarlo Giannini.

The producers are Robert MacLean of Tribune Pictures, John Smallcombe and Ken Gord. Spanish director Paula Ortiz is directing the adapted screenplay by Peter Flannery. The tale of a fractured family is said to explore themes of abandonment, ageing, acceptance and redemption.

Pink's new "Beautiful Trauma" music video starring Channing Tatum definitely has a lot going on.

The 38-year-old singer debuted the highly anticipated video for her latest single on Tuesday, after teasing it during the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday night. The elaborate five-minute video features Pink and Tatum playing a married couple in the '50s, who aren't as straight-laced as they at first seem.

The first clues the two don't fit into the Pleasantville-style cliche is that Tatum's character is actually looking at photos of' '50s pinup model Bettie Page instead of reading the newspaper, and dumps alcohol into his morning coffee. Meanwhile, Pink pops pills and charmingly reveals herself to be terrible at common household chores.

It’s no secret that Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum inspire couple goals, and that’s probably because the pair have been upfront with each other from the start!

Channing, 37, spoke with Et’s Lauren Zima at the premiere of War Dog: A Soldier’s Best Friend on Monday night about how he revealed to his then-future bride that he was previously a male stripper.

“I think it was one of the very first, like, dinners we ever had together,” he told Et. “I don't know. I'm not shy about it. She was just like, ‘What?’ She needed to know just like everybody.”

The 46-year-old singer shared a snippet of her new song "I Don't" on Sunday, a song she revealed was inspired by her breakup from billionaire businessman James Packer during the finale of her docu-series, Mariah's World.

"Said you would always be mine, feeding me nothing but lines," Carey sings on the ballad. "But I'm tired of crying, no more tears, cold at night because you're not here, leaving you was my worst fear.... I was caught up, I was blind. You kept playing with my mind."

In the clip, Carey finds herself at a crossroads while planning a wedding to now ex-fiance, James Packer. "Are you really gonna marry this guy?" Tanaka asks Carey.

Tanaka responds by assuring Carey that he just wants her to be "happy," but the superstar has an admission of her own. The Grammy winner confesses that she "doesn't even know" if she's ready to tie the knot.

"No matter what happens, I'm going to follow my heart," Carey declares to the camera just ahead of a scene where she and Tanaka share a kiss on the beach.

Things are getting serious between Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka.

The 46-year-old singer and her backup dancer beau are in a "proper relationship now," a source tells Et, adding that we can expect to see a lot more of the couple in the new year.
