At about 50 seconds, Frank responds to a request for a news channel interview by saying "They are seldom brief and never painless." This is a nod to Oscar Wilde's aphorism "The truth is rarely pure and never simple." from his play "The Importance of Being Earnest". (I suspect that many people have been named "Earnest" instead of "Ernest" because their parents didn't realise Wilde's punning joke.)
Throughout the series up to this point, Erin has introduced herself to others as Erin Reagan. Her colleagues, judges and reporters also called her Ms. Reagan. However, she still had a nameplate reading Erin Reagan-Boyle, Esq. on her desk and the name on her office door said Erin Reagan-Boyle leading viewers to believe Reagan-Boyle was still her legal name. In this episode, she suddenly calls herself Erin Reagan-Boyle in court despite not using Boyle for the past two years then eventually makes the decision to drop Boyle altogether.
