Coach of the Year...Not
Hitchcoc24 March 2021
As represented in this episode, it's hard to imagine a guy like the coach having any success at all. He is portrayed as this saintly entity. He went beyond discipline with his players. Not tough but abusive. When Russell's kid punches him, he has it coming. He does this in front of the rest of the team. What transpires is an investigation into all kinds of goings on at the university. This one is a bit of a stretch for credibility.

Who Killed Coach Burns?
claudio_carvalho30 November 2023
In the WLVU, the coach of the basketball Tom Burns has a discussion with Russell's son Charlie. Then he asks his assistant to remove the WLVU president Rob Austin and one of the most important investors, Jack Oxford, removed from the basketball court. Later Russell is called to go to the locker room of the university, since Tom Burns was beaten and murdered in one shower. While the CSIs collect evidence in the shower, Russell visits Charlie in his dormitory and meets his girlfriend, Vanessa Drake. Charlie tells to his father that he saw Coach Burns having an argument with Jack Oxford in the previous night. Jack is interrogated by Brass and denies killing the coach. Then the evidence shows the blood of the player TJ that reluctantly discloses that Charlie punched Tom in the face, and Charlie becomes a suspect. Soon the coach's wife Linda and Vanessa also become suspects. But who killed Coach Burns?

"Pick and Roll" is a great episode of "CSI", with the investigation of the murder of the Basketball Coach Tom Burns. The investigation shows several suspects based on the evidence including Russell's son Charlie and his girlfriend Vanessa. The shock of Russell when he meets Vanessa's secret alias of Mistress Z and finds her in the sex club the Iris is one of the best parts of the show. His disappointment and his behavior towards his family is amazing. My vote is eight.
