Gideon!!!!!!
wandernn1-81-6832742 August 2020
So this one starts off with what? DINNER??? Chilton again over at Lecter's Wonder who they are eating?? Oh I mean 'what', not 'who', of course! :)

We revisit the Totem Pole, in Will's bizarre dreams of course...

+1 Star for that Sequence.

We have Gideon escaping while being transported. Why are all these crazy killers involved in the medical industry? They trying to tell us something???

I love Izzards performance as Gideon in this. +1 Star here for Gideon's lovely treatment of Dr. Caruthers..

+1 Star again for Gideon's complete sadistic - ness, so very entertaining!!!!

And here we go again with the FBI guys storming a building.....Crawford again grabs and wields a shotgun for the event. At least he's consistent!!! That's always a plus!!!

Gideon serves up such a beautifully wrapped...or unwrapped? Present for Crawford to find!!!

Oh wow! What a mindFubar Lecter throws on Graham. Haha!!!!

Okay this one ends with a 8/10.

Izzard is great!
and_mikkelsen16 April 2024
This episode goes back to a previous character.. Gideon! This is one of the few cases where the killer from an episode returns in later episodes!

Izzard does a great job as Gideon! An obviously insane man, who knows what he is doing, and id not stupid! He captures the determination of the character well! This makes for one of the more memorable characters!

We also start to see Hannibal's intensions with Will, as Will is only getting worse, and how does Hannibal respond? Very well written manipulative game! This is what Hannibal wanted, and is so well at desciving those around him!

Now it is all great from here!

Will is losing his Mind
panagiotis199315 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Hannibal Season 1 Episode 11: Episode 10 was great and I gave it a rating of 8.6/10. Will's nightmares are always so trippy. Having Dr. Gideon escape is a very interesting sub plot. Will seems to be very sick, it sucks that Hannibal is hiding his true illness. Hannibal has become so manipulative when it comes to Will. I wouldnt be sad if Gideon killed Lounds, she is so annoying. Will is having a seizure, Hannibal says that nobody is there but that's probably one of his tricks. So Will just killed Gideon? I hope that this is not just his imagination. Overall a great episode, my rating is 8.6/10.

A bit forced!
A_Voice2 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
The episode seemed a little forced and far fetched. The events seemed exaggerated and hard to believe.

Dr. Gideon, who was seen previously in an episode is able to escape and now seeks revenge on every psychiatrist who treated him. With Dr. Alana Bloom on the list it worsens the condition of Will even further, leading to some unexpected circumstances.

Firstly, the fact that Gideon wanted revenge upon every psychiatrist who treated him, including Bloom (who never referred to him as Chesapeake Ripper), was a bit too far fetched. A man in search for his identity keeps on killing until he finds all the answers, but will Dr. Hannibal help a man who nearly stole his alias? But Hannibal's actions as expected were smart and spot on.

(Spoiler) Secondly, Will who just had a mild seizure and has a temperature of 105 degrees, with undiagnosed Encephalitis and severe hallucinations and headache is able to properly drive as well as kill Dr. Gideon. That seemed a little to fat to be true. Apart from these the episode was well constructed and beautiful in its own way. The technical staff has done a good job.

Direction: Good.

Story/Screenplay: Nice.

Acting: Eddie Izzard, Mads were good. Dancy was the stand out performer.

Music: Nice.

Overall, it could have been better, nevertheless a good one.
