Govinda in 2000 after his sudden venture into politics had several films shelved when his career was not going great guns, This film was started in early 2000 when Priyanka was a budding newcomer but got shelved and finally released in 2013. The film is a remake of a Tamil film Priyamudan and had some promise but afterall the delay worked against it. The film has Govinda in a role that is far cry from his image and it has negative shades to it, But the director isn't clear whether to show him negative or a good guy and hence struggles in between The film also reminds us of Govinda's films in 2002 wherein he used to have loser friends, we also have Kader Khan as his father and Himani as his mother(though same age as him). The film starts off as a romantic film becomes a thriller, the ending however leaves a lot to be desired.

Govinda tries his best to portray his role well, he has played a villain earlier in Shikari(2000) but here he plays an obsessive psycho lover and he does his job well Priyanka Chopra looking younger and in her 20s does her job well though she has hardly to do Her looks remind you of her earlier struggling period Kader Khan(voice dubbed) is as usual, Himani Shivpuri is as usual Prem Chopra is okay, Naseer(seen after a decade) is okay Shakti Kapoor is adequate rest are okay
