5 Short Films About The Land Of Ooo Warning: Spoilers
This has to be one of the most lighthearted episodes in the entire "Adventure Time" series, especially compared with the dark, more serious chapters from the last two seasons.

For some reason, "Five Short Graybles" somewhat reminded me the "22 Short Films About Springfield" episode from "The Simpsons" in the sense that those two chapters consisted in some little stories about some main and secondary characters from both shows.

In my opinion, the best parts from the episode were the one about BMO pretending to be a human kid with an imaginary friend (Which also serves to show that this character is much more complex than one would think) and the part with the Lumpy Space Princess being part of a talent show where she sings a very funny song. The other segments were just okay, but the overall result was worth-watching.

Embodies the show's (winning) random sense of humor.

It's probably a safe bet that if your show has Emo Philips playing the intro, it's gonna be weird. Half the fun of 'Five Short Graybles' is seeing just how jam-packed this thing is (the show's already short enough at ten minutes and now it's chopped into 5 vignettes). Part of the reason I love this one is just the sight gags alone; the cow in the centrifuge as PB tries to make cheese in her lab; Finn sailing by a castle window during the biggest high-five ever; Ice King using penguins to towel off after a shower. The other reason is Lumpy Space Princess practicing her song for the talent show:

"These lumps. I know you wanna slump up on These lumps, But you can't 'cause you're a chump! A ch-u-u-u-u-u-u-ump!"

It might just be because that's really a guy singing, or just Pendleton Ward's vocal inflections, but just try getting that song outta your head.

Warning: Spoilers
So, for this episode review , since it consists of five shorts and one intro and conclusion, I will be separating each section into a different paragraph. Here we go!

Sight (BMO): There's not much to say about this episode, except that BMO and, I guess, Football were absolutely adorable as usual! It was really cute to see BMO as a little "boy" trying to teach Football about life.

Touch (F&J): This one was my least favourite, but that doesn't mean it wasn't fun! I loved seeing Finn and Jake just doing normal, brotherly things, and it showed (once again) how awesome their relationship is.

Taste (PB): This was just plain fun. Cinnamon Bun was the perfect ending to the short, and I really have to praise PB for going to those lengths just to have a piece of living food stuff a science experiment in it's stomach.

Smell (Ice King): Ice King was...Ice King, as usual. He seemed to be much crueler to his penguins than he was in, say, "Holly Jolly Secrets". He went to having dance parties with them to basically making them his disposable slaves. (SCRUB HARDER!!)

Sound (LSP): A very interesting talent show indeed. It's kinda sad that she lost the talent show to people that weren't even registered. But, if I was a judge, I guess I would award the guys who just broke the sound barrier rather than the lady who threw basketballs at the civilians.

Overall: This "shorts" episode wasn't like others in other TV shows, in my opinion. Usually in other shows that have these special "shorts" episodes, it always seems forced, like the shows were running out of ideas and needed this as a filler to find different ideas. But these are really fun and even have a interactive aspect to it! I personally loved this, and while it wasn't the best of this season, it was a nice break from the drama Finn had in the last episode.

One last note. The "Cuber" guy said these shorts were from "days of old". So...is he from the future???

Probably the funniest episode I've seen

I love it when Adventure Time goes into a more surrealist, random direction, that's when the show really shines for me. The perfect start into the day!
