I believe that was a mention in the recordings of the experiments villain Killgrave (Season 1) underwent as a child. Jessica later figured out it was a sports hero - Rugby. One of the parents mentioned "Eric" as an inspiration during a painful treatment. Something like "Eric wouldn't cry."
