Brilliant, quite brilliant.

Ellie is annoyed with Alex, for taking a job she believed was hers, and for not seeing the case through her eyes, as someone who personally knows the community.

It is wonderful once again, a superb continuation. We have the awkward dynamic between the two, she's upset by her future, him his past.

The net is quickly cast, and the early suspects are interviewed, nothing heavy yet, more the feelers being put out.

The performances are incredible, Pauline Quirke was amazing, she's very sinister.

The series does a great job in showing how freely people lie, how even the smallest of lies have the biggest effects. Loved Will Mellor also as the clairvoyant.

Look at the talent on show here!

Outstanding, 10/10.

Things Get Even Stickier
Hitchcoc21 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
People are keeping secrets. It starts with Alec who has some past with a young girl (perhaps a daughter?). He is neurotic and probably using some kind of anti-depressant or worse. The daughter of the distraught family is in the middle of some drug business, supplying cocaine to a local hostler. Ellie is having family troubles because while her husband minds the store, she is totally immersed in the case. Alec finds a surveillance camera and must check it out, but needs to pull teeth to get the woman who has the key to hand it over. She is angry and resistant. There is a a closeup of Danny's skate board, hidden in her closet. A strange turn of events is a man who is installing telephones in the police station claims to be a psychic and tells the investigators that Danny was in a boat at some point. Alec literally shoves him out the door, chastising him for complicating the investigation. Also, Olly is being manipulated be a lady reporter who would do anything to get what she wants. The final scene now brings suspicion where none was before. Excellent storytelling.

No One Is Gonna Come To The Beach With The Bloody CSI Setup There

So here we have Ollie and KAREN, members of the press, meeting each other. The phones at the cop shop are ringing off the hook because of the stupid announcement the cop made to rat on your friends and family if you think they are acting strangely.

Noob cop questions Walder Frey, who says he witnessed Victim Danny talking to the POSTMAN.

And of course the daughter/sister of the Victim is caught holding cocaine in her room. Real smart, holding onto cocaine when the Cops are searching around your house looking for clues to your brother's murder. Nice One. -1 Star Even in England people are not this stupid.

Ruh Roh, the Postman says he never talked to the victim. Someone is LYING!

Alec (Hardy) doesn't eat Fish And Chips??? Ellie (Miller) asks him 'What kind of a Scot are you?' Okay I guess that's about as good as it will get on this show for zingers. +1 Star.

Some random psychic comes into the cop shop and says that Danny told him he needed to come in and tell the cops that Someone Put Danny In A Boat. Hardy seems pretty pissed off that dude came in there. The psychic hits Hardy with something hard on his way out 'She says she forgives you'.

So Danny's dad is caught in a LIE. Or several LIES. And Hardy doesn't take him in? Danny's dad is obviously a big A. And at the end they find out Prints in the suspected kill spot belong to the Dad. 5/10.
