Writer-Director Scott R. Thompson met award-winning Director/Producer Sam Borowski at the Trail Dance Film Festival in Oklahoma in January of 2012, where both had features playing at the time. After Borowski's "Night Club" won the Director's Choice Award, Thompson and actress Kiera Morrill pitched him the script for "A Place for Heroes." It was here that the seeds were sown for Thompson to Direct and Borowski to Produce the film in Iowa later that year.
Actress Samantha Tuffarelli won a monologue contest sponsored by filmmaker Sam Borowski on www.ForTalent.com. After collecting her prize - a free acting workshop - she enrolled in his monthly series of workshops and eventually earned a part in several of Borowski's films, including the role of Nola in "A Place for Heroes."
Actresses Kiera Morrill, Rachel Storey and Ellen Dolan all worked with Director Scott R. Thompson in the film, "Molly'a Girl," before each earned key roles in this one.
"A Place for Heroes," is the third time that Producer Sam Borowski has worked with actor Paul Sorvino, whose nephew Bill Sorvino, plays Glenn in the film.
