[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from the first two seasons of “Stranger Things.”]
“Stranger Things” isn’t afraid to kill off certain expendable characters, but in Season 2, the show almost bumped off one beloved person even earlier. While fans were horrified to see nerdy good guy Bob (Sean Astin) become a snack for a pack of hungry demodogs in the penultimate episode, the Duffer Brothers had actually considered a different storyline in which he would’ve died much earlier… and at the hands of someone he knew.
On the Netflix after-show “Beyond Stranger Things,” the Duffers revealed that originally, Will Byers (Noah Schnapps) was going to become gradually evil as he was possessed, be fully evil by Episode 4, and then kill someone midway through the season.

Frankie Muniz may be struggling with severe memory loss, but he’s convinced there are some moments in the Dancing with the Stars ballroom that will be with him forever.
On Monday night’s episode, the Malcolm in the Middle star and his pro partner Witney Carson hit the dance floor for the Halloween-themed episode, performing a contemporary number to “Every Breath You Take” by Chase Holfelder before joining several others stars for the team dance. The best part? Muniz earned a perfect 30/30 for both performances from the judges — something he could hardly believe.

[Editor’s Note: The following article contains spoilers for the ending of “Stranger Things 2,” also known by traditional TV fans as “Stranger Things” Season 2.]
Well, that was a neat and tidy ending.
After bringing in more characters, building more stories, and digging deeper than ever into the mythology of the Upside-Down, “Stranger Things 2” ended rather simply: Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) closed the gate, cutting off the Shadow Monster’s access to the real world and killing all the demodogs in the process. No one hugely significant died (sorry Bob), good triumphed over evil, and all looks quiet headed into Season 3.
Not quite.
Though technically all of that is true and the second season of “Stranger Things” ended on less of a cliffhanger than the first, its cliffhanger was bigger.

In August 1983, Ronald Reagan was president, “Every Breath You Take” by The Police was in the middle of an eight-week run as the #1 single, Ivanka Trump wasn’t quite two years old, and few people were aware of the Church of Scientology. And “Risky Business,” the first movie to star Tom Cruise, became a surprise hit.
34 years later, Cruise is at a different kind of crossroads at the box office. He’s been charged with rebooting Universal’s Mummy franchise, which will launch the studio’s “Dark Universe” story world. And while “The Mummy” has already opened strongly in its first date (South Korea), projections here are considerably less kind. Reviews have ranged from disappointing to incendiary, and “Wonder Woman” is expected to soundly beat the film in its opening weekend.

The father of two put on an incredible tribute to artists lost in 2016, including Prince, David Bowie, Merle Haggard, Leonard Cohen and Glenn Frey -- with Kidman joining her husband on stage and dancing in the background.

With You’re Next and The Guest already under their belts, anything horror related director Adam Wingard and screenwriter Simon Barrett put their hand to should make sit up and take notice. Case in point, the trailer for their latest collaboration, The Woods, which promises to bring the same style and inventiveness of their previous movie to the familiar tale of a group of college kids lost in the woods, who realise that they are not alone. Everything about this trailer made my skin crawl, from the dark, creepy images to the unnerving cover of The Police's Every Breath You Take. While it may not shed light on what is actually going on (and I for one hope we’re kept in the dark up until the films release), it’s definitely a must see for fans of the genre. Modern horror is in safe hands with these creators. Released:...

Set against a spine-chilling, almost melancholic rendition of “Every Breath You Take,” Lionsgate has premiered the haunting first trailer for The Woods, an all-new horror thriller hatched by the creative minds behind The Guest and You’re Next.
That’s Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett, who looked to have cooked up the camping trip from hell in today’s first teaser. Opening with serene establishing shots of the great outdoors, the tension gradually begins to build and build until we are introduced to a “group of college students on a camping trip who discover they are not alone.”
Hardly a horror premise to reinvent the wheel, of course, but the terrifying imagery that follows – not to mention those gruesome Pov shots – is enough to fuel nightmares right up until the movie’s September debut. Toss in some admittedly hyperbolic review quotes and there’s every chance The Woods could...

Set to a downbeat cover of The Police's "Every Breath You Take," the film covers a premise well explored but adopts are very sinister and very dark tone more akin to a Richard Laymon novel. The film has also released a poster and set a September 16th U.S. release date.

Every breath you take… every move you make… I’ll be watching you. Wait a minute…
We’re probably all guilty of singing along to the above lyrics then pausing while the mental cogs become unstuck.Because The Police’s supposedly classic love song is actually as creepy as hell.
To be fair though, it’s not all that difficult to listen to a song and not process the lyrics. Sometimes we’re more interested in the tune or vocal melody than what’s actually being said, and that’s not to mention the fact that sometimes lyrics are difficult to decipher without context.
But while everyone knows that The Police wrote that one song about being a stalker, there are quite a few less well-documented examples of songs with bizarre and often haunting undertones.
Whether it’s 90s band Hanson struggling desperately not to die alone or The Beatles romanticizing arson,...

Bindi Irwin was just 8 years old when her dad, wildlife expert Steve Irwin, passed away in a tragic accident. Now 17, Bindi is preserving her famous father's legacy by working as a conservationist and having some fun as one of the castmates of Dancing With the Stars' 21st season. On Monday, Bindi received the highest score of the night on the show for her heartbreaking performance to a cover of "Every Breath You Take" with her partner, Derek Hough. The song and dance were a tribute to Bindi's late father, and Bindi reflected on her father's tragic death in a prerecorded interview, saying, "What shaped me the most would probably be when my dad passed away. It's been nine years and I've never really dwelled on that point," adding, "I think I'm ready to tell that story." About prepping for the big performance, she told Us Weekly, "I don't think...

James Corden recruited Sting to help him send off David Letterman in style Wednesday night, performing a version of "Every Breath You Take" dedicated to Letterman, and filmed on a bench in front of the Ed Sullivan Theater, where The Late Show was filmed.
Corden tried some freestyle rapping at one point, saying he thought he'd "add some lyrics to make it a bit more ghetto," to which Sting responds, "Do something, but make sure no one hears it."
Corden was a bit more sincere in a different segment, thanking Letterman for blazing a trail in the 12:30 a.m.

James Corden and Sting paid tribute to David Letterman in a very unique way. Immediately following the end of Letterman's final Late Show on Wednesday, Corden's Late Late Show kicked off with a cold open featuring himself and Sting performing a rendition of "Every Breath You Take." We're only two weeks into this season's "American Idol" Finals and The Save is gone. The "Idol" judges opted to Save Qaasim Middleton last week. Were they protecting the entertainment factor that Qaasim brings to the show? Were they rewarding Qaasim for bringing energy to an episode that had lacked energy? Were they recognizing that America's voting has, thus far, been wonky as heck this season? Either way, Wednesday's (March 25) episode of "American Idol" is going to be a double-elimination episode, meaning that there are 11 remaining contestants, but presumably only nine are going to sing. This will change the entire architecture of the episode. Plus, Fox is boasting an appearance by Salt and/or Peppa, following last week's big Kenny Loggins appearance. Whee! 8:01 p.m. I think Nick Fradiani should have been the '80s Night mentor, since I'm pretty sure he's the only contestant this season who existed way back then.

The 1983 breakup of The Police was a mystery and a disappointment to their fans who looked to the band's fusion of multicultural sounds and musical proficiency on songs like "Roxanne," "Message in a Bottle," and the great paranoia anthem, "Every Breath You Take," as an oasis in the pastel, plastic 1980s sonic landscape. Guitarist Andy Summers documents the interrupted rise of the band in Can't Stand Losing You: Surviving The Police. He chatted with me about what exactly happened, what it took to reunite, and how Sting "wasn't a team player."The Lady Miz Diva: Why did you feel now was the time for this documentary? The second season of FX’s spy drama The Americans was one of the very best things to air on TV in 2014, and it has us very excited for what Joe Weisberg and the rest of the show’s writers have in store for The Americans Season 3. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too long to find out, with the show returning to FX next month (one of the few positives about the dark and dreary month of January: new episodes of Justified and The Americans), and now we even have our first glimpse at what the new season will look like. Earlier this week, during the series finale of Sons of Anarchy, the first trailer for The Americans Season 3 premiered, and as everyone expected, it looks pretty great. The minute-long teaser is filled with brand new footage from The Americans Season 3, all set to the creepy sounds of “Every Breath You Take.

Life was complicated enough for Philip and Elizabeth Jennings, undercover Russian spies living normal suburban lives on "The Americans."
But in season 3 of the FX drama, the couple (played by Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell) will have to confront the most difficult task set before them - to recruit their own daughter, Paige.
A new trailer is now available, featuring the first footage from the season. It's tense and intense - Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev is dead, throwing the two countries' relations into even greater turmoil. Then, there's the matter of Paige's recruitment. "If you tell her now, it'll all blow up," Philip warns.
"At least she'll know who she is," Elizabeth argues passionately.
The rest of the trailer gives us glimpses at Nina, presumably in custody in her home country; more outrageous wigs and disguises; and Elizabeth possibly getting nabbed by the FBI. And the whole thing is set...

Modern music is chalk full of so-called love songs that actually hide some rather unromantic notions. These secretly depressing, bigoted, or just plain idiotic ballads go unnoticed by listeners because they have a catchy chorus that mentions the words “love” and “baby,” so they Must be singing about something sweet, right?
Wrong. Oh so very, very wrong. Ever since Sting wrote the definitive stalker anthem in “Every Breath You Take” and then managed to convince the general public that it was actually a perfectly reasonable love song, there has been no shortage of musicians tucking away horrible messages in their supposedly tender ballads. And, for the most part, they get away with it.
But it’s time to pull back the curtain on some of these deceitful tunes and show you the seedy world of Top 40 hits, littered with perversion, drugs and, yes, even more stalkers. Some of them are tasteless,...

5.5 Miss Me X 100
When a show reaches 100 episodes, it’s hard not to get nostalgic and look back at the episodes that led here, the state of characters and relationships now rather than five seasons ago and where, potentially, the series can go from here. The hundredth episode of Pretty Little Liars makes a lot of that hard to do, basically because we know there are still 70-odd episodes to come, but also because it’s meandered so much that it’s almost impossible to recognise what it is anymore.
Is it about the ubiquitous monsters under the beds of young women, as Spencer and Alison mused last week, or about the rise of cyber bullying in American high schools? Is it a camp soap opera...

Sting might be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, but the musician says that he won’t be putting a part of his fortunes into trust funds for his children.
Sting Says No Trust Funds For Kids
Sting, 62, who is married to his wife of 21 years, Trudie Styler, supports a number of charitable organizations, which is one reason his kids won’t be getting massive trust funds or inheritance. Furthermore, Sting sees trusts funds as “albatrosses round their necks” that would impede their potential for personal success.

American Idol returned on Thursday to narrow it down to seven finalists following Wednesday’s 80s-themed night.
American Idol Recap
Making his weekly predictions, judge-turned-mentor Randy Jackson said he believed that Dexter Roberts, Jess Meuse and Caleb Johnson had all secured spots to remain in the competition for their performances. He also had some words of praise for the poor pitch-plagued C.J. Harris.
Jackson gave Sam Woolf, who was saved by the judges last week and performed an acoustic version of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time,” a 50/50 chance of sticking around. He was less positive in his reviews of Malaya Watson and Alex Preston, who sang Chaka Khan’s “Through the Fire” and The Police’s “Every Breath You Take,” respectively. Though he wasn’t entirely keen on Jena Irene’s “I Love Rock N Roll,” he thought she’d get enough votes to be okay.
