Discovery has announced that it has struck a multi-year agreement to supply content to Foxtel Group, Australia’s pay-tv market leader.
The renewed deal covers factual, documentary and reality content from the flagship Discovery Channel as well as the TLC, Investigation Discovery, Discovery Turbo and Animal Planet channels.
Significantly, Discovery’s content will be available for Australian subscribers to stream on demand on Foxtel and on its associated streaming service Binge.
Additionally, Foxtel Media has also renewed its agreement as the exclusive Australian advertising partner for Discovery Inc.
The Australian TV market is changing rapidly under pressure from international streaming operations which made the wealthy English-language territory an early launch priority.
Foxtel, as the legacy pay-tv player in a market with a population of 26 million and an estimated 20 million paying streaming subscriptions, is having to adapt. Last year it launched its own streaming service Binge and Kayo, a sports streaming service,...

There’s plenty of content to watch across every major streaming platform already, something everyone has certainly appreciated during the ongoing pandemic. But who would dare complain about even more movies and shows to check out? Lucky you – Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus are all getting new stuff to watch this weekend, and some of it is absolutely worth your time.
Over on Netflix, you’ll definitely want to check out District 9, a film that delicately handles being both a compelling sci-fi action flick and a political statement that tackles xenophobia and racism. If you’re needing something a bit more light-hearted though, there’s always the David Spade comedy, The Wrong Missy, which is sitting at a pretty rough 31% on Rotten Tomatoes but is nevertheless doing exceptionally well with audiences.

Hulu is out with its list of everything that’s coming and going from the streaming service in April, which should come in handy assuming we’re all still in isolation next month due to coronavirus.
The third and final season of “Future Man,” which stars Josh Hutcherson, Eliza Coupe, and Derek Wilson, will be available on April 3.
That same day, a new episode of Hulu’s monthly episodic anthology “Into the Dark” drops. April’s installment is called “Pooka Lives,” and follows a group of thirty-something friends who create their own Creepypasta about Pooka, but don’t like what they find once the thing goes viral.

This year’s Oscar best-picture winner “Parasite” will also start streaming April 8.

All six former child actors from “The Brady Bunch” were on hand Thursday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour to talk about their new Hgtv show, “A Very Brady Renovation.”
“They paid way to much for this house,” Barry Williams, who played Greg on “The Brady Bunch,” joked.
He was joined by his former co-stars Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Eve Plumb (Jan), Susan Olsen (Cindy), Mike Lookinland (Bobby), and Christopher Knight (Peter), who all participated in renovating the famous “Brady Bunch House” in Studio City, California.
But the truth was, the actors never actually filmed a single scene in the famous Brady house — it was only used in establishing shots of the exterior, while the rest of the show was filmed on a set miles away.
