Pilot

Seeing the Pilot again after watching the full BATB season was just so much better. I think Beasties around the world were re captivated and we are falling under Vincat's spell all over again. Roller Coaster ride for sure but just MAGICAL! The cast are so talented and so authentic they draw you in and capture your emotions so skillfully. The charm of BATB lies in the combination of Romance and Mythology. The cast and writers are able to invite people of all ages to enter their world. No matter what your age you are able to enter this amazing world and you are whisked away soaring with the action. No matter where you live in the world you feel you are part of this magical "family" you can relate, you can imagine, you can integrate and react with such commitment and passion. Beasties have enjoyed the show so much that we have become such a tight knit cohesive family that are,BATB addicted!

Tensions mount

Warning: Spoilers
I have to say; well done writers and producers for managing to pack so much into each episode.

I have tried watching other shows but too soon they tend to veer off the path of abundance and start to make every episode so drawn out and boring. That is not the case with Beauty and the Beast!

As in episode 2, Vincent gets involved with solving one of Catherine and Tess' cases but his involvement is a double-edged sword for them both as the lines, that they spoke about in episode 2 are not yet defined and both want more from the other, than they can give yet. This combined with the more and more obvious romantic feelings between Vincent and Catherine causes tension between them. A lot of tension.

Apart they have a lot to deal with too. Catherine has to lie to her partner, Tess, her friend Evan, who is also the medical examiner, and her sister, Heather. On top of that she gets in trouble at work because she cannot reveal where she gets her information on the case. Vincent is putting himself on the radar because he keeps helping Catherine and hence regularly leaves his hide out.

The episode is well executed and the supporting cast is really good including the young girls. For each episode we learn a little bit more about these people who are inherently connected and you are never disappointed but rather intrigued and on the edge of your seat waiting for the next development.

She just can't stay away...

I'm officially a #Beastie (BATB fan girl) Catherine and her partner the sharp tongued and carefree Tess Vargas investigates the death of an immigration judge.

Catherine and Vincent have found a way of communicating with each other which I found to be really cute. But it doesn't make J.T a happy bunny more great one-liners from the Mr Forbes.

Catherine asks for help in the investigation and takes matters into her own hands in the investigation which doesn't sit well with her Lieutenant Joe and partner Tess.

It's now very clear to both Catherine and Vincent they CANNOT stay away from each other now.
